JBC344 July 11, 2015 Share July 11, 2015 When it comes to love interest or spouses for The Rock, tends to be ABB. Anything But Black. Like him, but it is what it is. Well he did end up with Janet Jackson in "Why did I Get Married Too" so we can thank Tyler Perry for that. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/27116-san-andreas-2015/page/2/#findComment-1312915
NoWillToResist July 17, 2015 Author Share July 17, 2015 When I saw this movie, I wondered why D'addario looked familiar to me. Recently, I started to re-watch the first season of True Detective and BOOM, there she is! She played Woody Harrelson's young mistress! I was quite surprised to see, ahem, ALL of her in TD. Constantinople August 20, 2015 Share August 20, 2015 On the whole a good disaster movie. I'm not sure how San Francisco could essentially be wiped out, while Marin was a refuge. I'd think the tsunami would hit on both sides of the Golden Gate Bridge, but what can you do? Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/27116-san-andreas-2015/page/2/#findComment-1431041
beetnemesis August 26, 2015 Share August 26, 2015 Watched it in theaters and I've got to say it was better than expected. The acting was a bit overdone at the start but the plot and effects were great. Overall it was a good watch and totally worth the money. jah1986 November 9, 2015 Share November 9, 2015 I just caught this over the weekend and I really enjoyed it. In fact, now that I know how it ends I may watch it again. The Rock (I don't think I'll ever call him Dwayne Johnson) was solid and I thought he had good chemistry with CG. Bruinsfan November 10, 2015 Share November 10, 2015 I remember enjoying the movie, but months later the only things that have stuck with me are that rippling hillsides CGI from the trailer and Carla Gugino leaving Ioan Griffud the phone message that she's going to kill him herself if the earthquake didn't do him in. BooBear March 13, 2016 Share March 13, 2016 (edited) I did find myself kind of laughing at the fact that The Rock's character has a job in the rescue/service field and yet, when disaster hit, he was basically all "fuck that shit. Imma find and rescue my family!" It's strangely heroic yet selfish... Unfortunately this ruined the movie for me. He is a first responder and got all those things to save the citizen's of California... only to have him turn around and crazy selfishly use them for his family. I would love to see San Andreas II the guilt / inquest. I think what he did was worse that what the mom's boyfriend did. Good effects and who doesn't love a disaster movie but it almost seemed like too much. Wondering in the back of my head how many of thousands of people died kind of made me completely unconcerned about the Rock's family. At a certain point a disaster movie can be just too much. Oh and ETA this movie has the number one most stupid end line. "What now" - "Now we rebuild." Err maybe that isn't such a good idea?
