Dirtybubble December 19, 2014 Share December 19, 2014 I don't like NPH in How I Meet Your Mother but in general I guess I kinda like him. He was a pretty good guest judge on RPDR last season. But I do find this character he's doing for AHS very interesting and maybe it will the shot in the arm this season needs. 2 Link to comment
bilgistic December 21, 2014 Share December 21, 2014 I liked him in Doogie Howser when I watched it during its original run. Since then, he just makes me tired. 2 Link to comment
Captanne December 21, 2014 Share December 21, 2014 He just exhausts me and the "perfect perfect twee life" is unbelievable. I hope most of it is true -- if even half of it is, he's a lucky man. I'm almost as exhausted by Hugh Jackman. 1 Link to comment

Chairperson Meow December 22, 2014 Share December 22, 2014 If he's the one Dandy calls a sicko, then I'm intrigued. 3 Link to comment
candall December 25, 2014 Share December 25, 2014 Well, he's a genuinely talented guy so it's not like he Kardashianed his way onto our screens. I mainly see him singing and dancing when he's hosting an awards show, which is A-Okay with me because when the teleprompter goes blank, he handles it and doesn't stand there slack-jawed and stupid. Looking forward to seeing if he can be a convincing villain. . 2 Link to comment

Captanne December 26, 2014 Share December 26, 2014 Wasn't he a "villain" (airquotes intentional) in that Buffy-Creator webshow about a mad scientist? Link to comment
candall December 28, 2014 Share December 28, 2014 Heee: "He has a Ph.D in horribleness." But I forgot about "Gone Girl," since I haven't seen it yet. (Good book, though.) I think NPH had good reviews for his twisty psycho work in that. ****** I've enjoyed each season of AHS less than the one before. Me or the show? If Neil Patrick Harris can be spooky, go for it. I want to peek through my fingers again. Link to comment
jnymph December 30, 2014 Share December 30, 2014 (edited) Will this episode be aired on NY Eve? eta: Sorry nevermind, just saw it airs Jan 7th. Edited December 30, 2014 by jnymph Link to comment

I want to peek through my fingers again. NPH wasn't the psycho in Gone Girl - I won't elaborate to avoid spoilers. Overall I liked him as Chester. I think his Georgia accent was better than at least half the cast of The Walking Dead. What problems I had with any of his scenes (a couple of reaction shots, and lame music) were more director related. I bought almost everything he did, but was strangely unmoved by his last line of - just put me in the ch-chair. Link to comment
