It depicts the worry of a lover whose partner is sexually promiscuous during the period when AIDS was newly discovered and rampant in the West. -- Wow, I'd never heard that song before. I liked it. Those lyrics are haunting and a perfect way to address that issue. Loved the video, too, with the whole black and white jazzy vibe and the dancers. 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 11 Share October 11 (edited) Second Powerwolf album "Lupus Dei" (2007). If I remember what little Latin I studied back in university, I'm guessing the English title would be The Wolf God or something akin to it. Um, a lot of religious undertones. Album wise, probably on par with their debut one, but enjoyment wise really not on par. Also, with their overly repeating lyrics and riffs reminds me of Iron Maiden with this album. Eh... BlueSkies October 12 Share October 12 I know I had heard this song before. Heard it on 90s on 9 this morning. Was The Party of Five theme song. Never watched the show but Jennifer Love Hewitt I certainly know of 3 1 Link to comment
Jaded October 12 Share October 12 The Cure has a new album coming out. This is one of the songs that will be on it. 1 1 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 12 Share October 12 Third Powerwolf album "Bible of the Beast" (2009). Just like the second one, filled to the brim with religious undertones. For some, it would be borderline blasphemous, if you care about such a thing. Anyways, probably their best work so far. On enjoyment level, on par with the first album. 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 13 Share October 13 Fourth Powerwolf album "Blood of the Saints" (2011). Eh, not as good as the previous one, but pretty solid; not as much iron maidenisms in this one (hooray for me). 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 14 Share October 14 Fifth Powerwolf album "Preachers of the Nigh (Deluxe Edition)" (2013). It seems they somewhat cut back on the religious imageries in their songs, and this time decided to go Sabaton's route and sing about wars and whatnot (still, with religious undertones). 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 15 Share October 15 Sixth Powerwolf album or fifth and a half, cause it's covers of other bands metal songs... "Metallum Nostrum" (2015). As a Powerwolf album, I'm going to say - mostly meh as far as covers go. 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 16 Share October 16 Seventh Powerwolf album "Blessed & Possessed" (2015). Eh, alright I guess, nothing special, kinda like their cover-album, maybe a bit better. 1 Link to comment
BlueSkies October 16 Share October 16 I was never a big fan of Bruce but there's definitely songs he did I liked. This being one of them 3 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 17 Share October 17 Eight Powerwolf album "Sacrament of Sin" (2018). Almost 10 out of 10, but a couple of songs that I don't particularly like. Anyways, they even put a lyrical song in this album ;) 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 18 Share October 18 Ninth Powerwolf album "Call of the Wild" (2021). Song wise - pretty good, album wise - kinda meh. I know, strange assessment, but out of their main albums, this is one of their meh ones, barely a seven out of ten to me ;) 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 19 Share October 19 Tenth and penultimate album of Powerwolf "Interludium (Deluxe Version)" (2023). Deluxe version consist of 3 CDs, and only one CD is relevant, because it has new songs, second CD is repeat of some previous album, and the third CD is orchestra version of the first CD (i.e., no vocals, and orchestra added to the arrangement). Kinda like their previous album. Good, but not that good to warrant from me any recommendation... Also, all songs kinda feel soft? I don't know how to explain it, but it lacks their usual oompf and rawness... 2 1 Link to comment

Rushmoras October 20 Share October 20 Eleventh and final (so far) Powerwolf album "Wake up the Wicked" (2024). Songwise enjoynment, better than their last one, but album-wise, kinda on par. Little bit less of religious blasphemy (hahaha) and little bit more of historical fiction to fit their lyrical narrative. Nah, but in all seriousness, their all shtick is supernatural warewolf themes shrouded in historical fiction. So, in a sense, they are more of an artistic theatre play than a band [kinda like Rammstein or White Skull, I'd guess...] As always, subjective assessments of each album: 1. Return in Blood Red (2005) - 8.9/10 [Best songs: Mr. Sinister; Black Mass Hysteria; Montecore; The Evil Made Me Do It] 2. Lupus Dei (2007) - 7.3/10 [Best songs: In Blood We Trust; Vampires Don’t Die; Mother Mary is a Bird of Prey; Tiger of Sabrod] 3. Rushmoras October 21 Share October 21 First album of Laura Branigan "Branigan" (1982). Pretty good for a debut album. 4 Link to comment
One4Sorrow2TooBad October 21 Share October 21 Laura had an exceptional singing voice and was a composer and actress. Sadly lost her way too early at age 52. 1 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 22 Share October 22 Second Laura Branigan album "Branigan 2" (1983). Very chill and slow songs. For me, weaker then her first album. 1 Link to comment
fastiller October 23 Share October 23 Earlier this year, a group of Irish tweens had a bit of a viral moment with a song called "The Spark". Well, they've only bloody gone and been longlisted for the Grammy for FKN Song of the FKN Year! They're not gonna win, but Song of the Year?!?!!? It's a true-blue, hi-test, certified stonker. Bloody infectious. BBC called it the 'banger of the year'. Time Magazine: 'good luck getting this... out of your head'. Mixmag: 'Drum 'n' Bass Rap Banger'. Enjoy: 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 23 Share October 23 Third Laura Branigan album "Self Control" (1984). Yeah, three albums in three years really does show in terms of quality I guess. Kinda meh album in general, but nothing overly bad. Best song was probably With Every Beat of My Heart. 3 Link to comment

She seemed a decent person as well @Jaded Per the family and German conversation Lady Gaga is one of the few artists out there I'll still try and keep abreast of when they have new stuff coming out. This new song is all right I definitely liked Schiebe better though. And I heard that song quite a but did not realize that's the German word for shit 😀. 1 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 26 Share October 26 Fifth Laura Branigan album "Touch" (1987). So far, her only album that I can confidently say that to me it's almost 10 out of 10. The production quality is modern. 2 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 26 Share October 26 And hers penultimate album "Laura Branigan" (1990). I think, it's one of her weakest from those that sound modern. 1 Link to comment
Rushmoras October 27 Share October 27 Final album of Laura Branigan "Over My Heart" (1993). Um, songwise, one of, if not, her best albums released. Barring one song that I really found meh, almost a 10 out of 10 album. However, listening to it, I couldn't shake the feeling that I've heard handful of songs in it from somewhere. So, I googled it, and it appears that at least three of the songs in the album are covers; probably, there are many more covers in the album, it's just that they do not have links on wikipedia to know for certain. As always, subjective assessments of each album: 1. Branigan (1982) - 7.8/10 [Best songs: All Night With Me; Gloria; Please Stay, Go Away; I Wish We Could be Alone; Maybe I Love You] 2. Branigan 2 (1983) - 7/10 [Best songs: Lucky; How Am I Supposed to Live Without You?; Mama; Don’t Show Your Love] 3. Self Control (1984) - 7/10 [Best songs: Self Control; Ti Amo; Heart; Silent Partners; With Every Beat of My Heart] 4. Hold Me (1985) - 8/10 [Best songs: Spanish Eddie; Forever Young; When I’m With You; I Found Someone; Tenderness] 5. Touch (1987) - 9.2/10 [Best songs: Shadow of Love; Shattered Glass; Whatever I Do; Spirit of Love; Statute in the Rain] 6. Laura Branigan (1990) - 6/10 [Best songs: Moonlight on Water; Smoke Screen;Turn the Beat Around] 7. Over My Heart (1993) - 9.2/10 [Best songs: The Sweet Hello, the Sad Goodbye; It’s Been Hard Enough Getting Over You; Is There Anyone Here But Me?; Didn’t We Almost Win It All?; Mujer Contra Mujer] Average album score: 7.7/10 Next stop... Rushmoras October 29 Share October 29 Well, started Natalia Oreiro's discography. First self-titled album from 1997. I expected worse, honestly, but I liked half of the album, however the other half was not my cup of tea. 1 Link to comment

BlueSkies October 31 Share October 31 I liked the Goosebumps books as a kid for a couple of years. Until I felt I outgrew it and it didn't seem cool anymore. I def recall there was a TV show on them. I tried but couldn't get into it. Nonetheless it still has a cool theme tune with is appropriate for today Halloween. 1 1 1 Link to comment
BlueSkies November 1 Share November 1 Latest Lady Gaga video. I really like it. Kind of bummed a friend though told me he thought it was horribly bad. Guess we all have our opinions and what not when it comes to music/art. 2 Link to comment
