Lisin March 21, 2014 Share March 21, 2014 Energy bars that include protein from crickets; a garage lock to prevent break-ins; a shower cap that fixes ``bedhead''; digital textbook rentals; an update on Fiber Fix. Link to comment
MrMattyMatt March 28, 2014 Share March 28, 2014 I wonder if maybe BedHead would be better marketed in people other countries? At least for me, I like to shower and wash my hair daily, but when there are times, I didn't have the time, I don't want to fuss with an absorbent shower cap either. Link to comment
Lola16 March 30, 2014 Share March 30, 2014 MorningHead is destined to be a novelty item that gets snickers from eternal 12 year old boys. Fiber Fix sounded like it was going to be a Metamucil (sp) type of product. Turned out to be more like Duct tape. I'd think the name would be the first thing that the shark would fix. Marketing 101 - don't make your intended consumer struggle to figure out what your product is or what it does. 1 Link to comment
topanga July 19, 2014 Share July 19, 2014 I was surprised that Mark Cuban went for the Cricket Bars/Flour and the textbook rental. The guy pushing the Cricket Bars had a great presentation and seemed to have a good business mind, but: crickets. I don't want to eat crickets. He also invested $200,000 into the textbook guys' business. Mark Cuban seems to be a pretty big risk-taker. Link to comment
Amarsir July 20, 2014 Share July 20, 2014 I think that's exactly what Mark is doing. Rather than looking for safe investments with limited growth, he'll take a long shot at something that could be 100x growth. We saw it the episode after this one too, when he bought into Rugged Maniacs. (Though at $1.75m I can't imagine that great a return.) Link to comment
