S9.E9: Breaking Bread

Recommended Posts

The tension between Lexi and Jesse was short-lived. All it took was some dinner and flowers to forgive him for #toegate. However, she did not forget. Meanwhile, Lindsay and Carl performed a show during Shabbat when she confronted him about seeing Lil while they were still together. But Carl had the receipts, proof, and timeline that Lindsay had false intel. And finally, the drama between Paige and Craig continued when Paige admitted to Ciara she wasn’t sure if Craig was her person. But deep down, Paige already knew the answer. Lindsay and Paige finally had their Step Brothers “Did we just become best friends?”moment during their ride up to the Hamptons.

First aired on 4/9/2025.

I am sick of the narcissist Lindsey unilaterally ruining a lovely evening because she just cannot let go of Carl.

I don’t care what is on his phone.  She calls him a loser while he is just going about his life, while she is pregnant without being married and not even living with the father of the child.  She isn’t exactly the epitome of perfection and she just needs to go away and live her life.

And apologize to Jesse and everyone else at the table for ambushing Carl with a conversation that could have been handled privately without involving the entire house.  She is rabid and relentless.

I feel like this relationship is doomed already.  They're going through things after only being together for 1 month that most couples don't have to deal with until they've been together way longer, like years.  There doesn't seem to be a honeymoon phase where they only have googly eyes for each other.  Jesse just isn't ready for a monogamous relationship if you ask me.  And even Lexie said on WWHL that she doesn't believe he only got his toe sucked.

Lexi is obviously  a very jealous  girl, and for someone  like Jesse, this won't  bode well for the future. She's  far too demanding.

Lindsay you rude b****, a beautiful  meal is made for everyone,  and you need to throw a stupid tantrum. I like Carl, I saw him on WWHL, he never threw anyone  under the bus, and he just has a nice outlook  on life. Having  to bring his phone to show the DM, was pathetic,  I felt sorry  for him.

Lexi was on Watch What Happens Live yesterday (after the episode aired), and she was not with Jesse- her mother and sister were in the audience. She mentioned all the (his) red flags. They are obviously not together. Andy Cohen mentioned that Jesse posted a story on his IG about being ready to reveal his relationship to his girlfriend Paige. Paige denied it.

Carl had the receipts after all, and Lindsay was speechless (and I think kind of happy he was not cheating on her). Lil was not a good match for him. She was awkward, on top of too young for him.

Carl said in the previews of the next episode that Lindsay is not over him.

Following up on my previous comment:

I was glad Carl was vindicated.  I was glad for the reaction of Paige and whomever after the dinner when she was surprised that Lindsey got shut down.  I wasn’t at all surprised that Lindsey went to her room and pouted to the poor sperm donor about the events of the evening and I will bet she will continue to harp on this.

I think Lindsay and Carl are grieving the friendship and not the relationship and haven't got a handle on that fact.  Carl in his Eeyore way and Linds in her hyper-aggressive chipmunk way.  I actually think they will eventually be fine.

Paige talking about finances is going to drive Craig even more insane. Heh.

And I don't care what production is trying to tell me Imrul is not the gross one.  The gross ones are Jesse and West. I am fine with Imrul an glad to see a little more about him this episode.

I've been thinking they weren't over the breakup, but this makes more sense. They were friends for a lot longer than they were lovers.  After the first breakup, they were able to be friends again. This time, they weren't, so they're both floundering, each in his or her own way.

I'd like to see more of Imrul, too. Unlike West and Jesse, he's straight up offering sex, not tooling women with the false promise of a relationship.

On another note, I'm not sure I'd want relationship counseling from either West or Ciara.

Lindsay made a complete fool of herself.  She should be totally embarrassed but she doesn't have the self-awareness for that.

Sometimes I worry for Carl.

I like Paige. I would be friends with her.  But she is really starting to need to sit at a table, put a napkin in her collar, and eat a big, heaping slice of humble pie.  "I'm the breadwinner"?  "I could buy Lover Boy"?  This coming from the girl who rightly saw Danielle's CEO comment for the ludicrous statement that it was? She's become that.

Paige is on a roll, 100%.  She's hitting it out of the ballpark. She is flying high.  But Giggly Squad is nothing tangible. It is not anything that you can hold in your hand, see or feel. It's a podcast. It's a stage show. It's a hair commercial. You aren't curing cancer, my friend.

If she would take a humorous, humble and honest approach to it, I would love her for it. But she's taking an egotistical and big headed one and it's hard to see.

I may be the only person in America who believes that Jesse only had his toe sucked... Not because Jesse is so trustworthy and gallant but because it seems weird that Imrul would reveal the toe suck and nothing else, if indeed something else happened. Also, I can totally believe that they spent 37 minutes just talking if they were drunk and especially if they were stoned. The passage of time is a weird thing when you're under the influence.

I know, I know, I stand alone.

That said, the fact that Jesse heard that Imrul was having a threesome and decided to go in there is so ick ick icccccck, whether Jesse had a girlfriend at the time or not.

I really hope Ciara never goes there with Jesse, because I can see her gravitating like a moth to a douchey flame. "Ciara, noooo!" *in Parker Posey White Lotus voice*

I would generally support Paige over Craig in any matter, but I think Paige was wrong to call herself "the breadwinner." It may very well be true that she earns more than Craig, and if she said it I believe it's because she knows it's true. We've seen before that women seem to get more lucrative endorsements (e.g. Lindsay vs. Carl). But making more than someone doesn't make you "the breadwinner." My husband earns more than I do, but he's not "the breadwinner" because we both pull in full-time incomes. That said, if we needed to uproot our lives to support one of our careers, it would likely be his, because he earns more. I actually agree with Paige on that point! But the way she worded it was terrible. She's been sort of gross about money this season - the "he's lucky I don't buy and sell Loverboy" comment being another instance.
