Really good episode - strong case. I did call the shot that the daughter was playing them all along, I wonder if they’ll come back to this story, I doubt it but it definitely has potential. I liked the investigation and how it played out - interesting that 2 of the 3 actual killers names were never revealed, the ones who were shot by the agents at the club, they were just hired hitman, but I liked how they tied it to the crime family and were able to take down the boss. Nice role for each character, Maggie was MIA but this show has such a deep cast I don’t mind - I enjoyed seeing Isobel get a feature role, Jubal and his room of analysts were good as usual and I’m liking Scola’s new partner, Rhodes. I liked Isobel’s husband as well, nice that they seem to have a solid marriage, I hope it stays that way. And it was nice to see the actor who played the drug dealing manager, he played a couple of memorable roles on the L&O franchise. Strong episode.

So is the daughter a good person or bad person?

TBD if we will see her again (could be a very cool storyline) but she’s a smart cookie and it would be a good writing twist if she played both sides — brother and father — to get them out of the way so she can run the family business.  She has years of resentment against them to fuel her plans.

I didn't get it - what did the sister do?

They showed a camera shot of her taking the meeting with the head of the rival mob family to negotiate an agreement with them and it would give her family power over the other.  Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought it was after her brother and father had been killed.

Yes and it looked like she faked the self-defense killing of her brother. Isobel was rerunning the film at the end and was suspicious. Some of it was off camera.

OA got his ass handed to him twice this episode, even though he came out on top in the end.  He's going to need a week off to recover.

I don't think the sister is long for the throne.  She played a couple of simple cons on the FBI but when she goes up against another ruthless mob, she's going to need an A+ game.

Isobel better consult her retirement advisor before pulling the plug.  I looked it up and it appears that agents receive 34% of their highest salary after 20 years service.  It goes up after that.

I like that little email trick that the tech agent explained.  Two people on an account but using the drafts to pass messages so the sent messages wouldn't reveal themselves.

I thought this was a weak episode.

The sister/daughter was clearly the Big Bad from the get-go. She murdered her brother and shopped her father so as to put herself in the leading role in the family organization. Her taking the meeting with the rival gang isn't even something that she can be charged with. She played Isobel like a harmonica. And got clean away with it all.

I would be surprised if she didn't return in a later episode. The setup for the future was just too perfect. But with this show, who knows.

It was nice to see Tom Cavanagh. He clearly thought that Isobel getting to the point where she could retire meant that she would retire. But he took it well when it became apparent that wasn't going to happen any time soon. He played the part of a music scout in a very short-lived series called Love Monkey about 20 years ago. I liked the show, but apparently I was the only person who did.

Didn't think much of Scola's new wispy-haired partner. But I will admit she was much better than the others they tried before her. And Tiffany wouldn't be hard to beat.

Congrats, Isobel. 20 years on the job!

Phillip being so supportive and accommodating with Isobel is a bit suspicious for me. 🤨

OA, Dani and Scola work well together. Dani fits in seamlessly but her hairstyle needs to change.

Well played, Billie. Now let’s see whether you can survive out there with the real mobs.

I am impressed that Elise and Jubal are culturally aware. They casually talk about the Drake/Kendrick beef and the COD of One Direction’s Liam Payne.

“You do know what diss tracks are?”

“Now be nice.”

😂😂😂

Jack Grippo calling Scola pretty. 😆

Next week’s episode feels like a plot taken from FBI Most Wanted.

Isobel is married to Reverse Flash?  What?

No chemistry between them.  In fact when she came home in the final scene and tried to explain her day to Ed, it seemed like they were on a blind date.  Maybe she married him because she thought "it was time" to get married.  Maybe she just couldn't wait any longer for me.   Who can say.

The new agent seems like a good fit.

I can't decide which I missed more in this episode --  Maggie Bell or "We've got a runner!"
