Trini Monday at 06:14 AM Share Monday at 06:14 AM Anyone know where they filmed the military base scenes? Not just this episode, but I like that we're finally back to basics with cases. I did like that the main story made a connection to Robyn's military background, but it wasn't another CIA mission. I guess it's okay that Dante got his exact job back, but how long until he breaks his promise about no 'equalizing' on the job? Wow -- Harry and Dante almost never have scenes together! I guess it's realistic, but I wasn't expecting Dee's protest story from last season to affect her college search arc this season. Relatively toned down outfits for the Equalizing team with the serious and military -themed A-plot. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152556-s05e13-a-few-good-women/#findComment-8615302
KWalkerInc Monday at 09:37 AM Share Monday at 09:37 AM When they went to commercial with Cass holding the rapist colonel at gunpoint, I was guessing that the general and/or the lieutenant who had also had been a victim would have a change of heart and appear. I hope that Cass will be okay, but it still seems like her case would be a very difficult one even though the general came around eventually. Robyn's words obviously carry a lot of weight, since she managed to sway both the general and Dante's former captain. There's no way that Dante will obey the directive about staying within the rules. Although the captain hadn't explained her reasoning before, she had made herself clear about not wanting him to help Robyn previously. That was followed by a throwaway line from Dante about how they couldn't be seen together in public, and then they basically did whatever they wanted anyway. This will probably be similar. When he turned down the offer to just work with Robyn, I thought he would say he needed the money from his job or that they would address where she gets her funding. The made-up college apparently found out about Dee's arrest from social media. They probably could have found it from someone else talking about it, but if it was left on her account when she seemed concerned about the repercussions, that probably wasn't the smartest thing she's done. I know she wanted to stand up for her principles, but she could have talked about the cause without going, "Oh yeah--and I got arrested." She usually seems smarter than that, with some exceptions. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152556-s05e13-a-few-good-women/#findComment-8615321
milkyaqua Monday at 04:38 PM Share Monday at 04:38 PM The military doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to sexual assault which is why they have specialized annual training on dealing with and preventing it. But even with that, two soldiers agreeing to take out the two women who were going to complain to the JAG is far fetched. There's a process to go through that's supposedly initially anonymous. But again, TV. I don't see Dante adhering to the Captain's wishes either. I would hope that he and Robyn discuss this. If Dante can help while informing the Captain/NYPD, maybe it can work but if he just goes off on his own, then this whole thing is pointless. As for Dee being busted by social media, it does happen so she's at least learned a life lesson. She'll probably get into a college even if it's local and she has to transfer somewhere else later. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152556-s05e13-a-few-good-women/#findComment-8615522
Brown44 Monday at 11:59 PM Share Monday at 11:59 PM I'm surprised there wasn't a rape prevention number that usually plays at the end of tv shows that have a rape episode. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152556-s05e13-a-few-good-women/#findComment-8615917
possibilities Wednesday at 03:14 AM Share Wednesday at 03:14 AM I would have hoped that being an activist would be valued by some colleges, and any college that doesn't respect civil disobedience is going to be piss poor on any political science or history courses. And so, I hope the outcome is that the "safety school" rejected her, but some more rigorous school will be happy to have her. She should have owned it, though, instead of hoping nobody noticvd. If she talks about the reasons she was out there, and frames it in an intelligent way, she comes off as defending the principle, rather than "breaking the law". It maakes her seem more intelligent, and an asset to any community worth being part of. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152556-s05e13-a-few-good-women/#findComment-8616996
andromeda331 Wednesday at 05:19 PM Share Wednesday at 05:19 PM I agree that Dee should have owned her protest and arrest. It was something she did believe in and it would have been better then the college finding out elsewhere. I like Robyn continues to investigate regular cases. Even though this was military I'm glad it wasn't CIA. I'm glad she told off the commander when he didn't want to hear it but also disappointed that he apparently knew and did nothing. For the "greater good" and not wanting to ruin a good man's reputation. He should get in trouble too. That's bullshit. It's okay to ruin a few good women reputations but not a man. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152556-s05e13-a-few-good-women/#findComment-8617336
AnimeMania Thursday at 04:50 AM Author Share Thursday at 04:50 AM I am not sure if Mel killed those two soldiers, but if they were only wounded and not dead, they could testify that Strickland was the one that ordered them to hunt down and/or kill Cass which might help corroborate her rape testimony. Either way it looks bad that Mel didn't call an ambulance or the morgue to collect the two soldiers. There should have been three caskets being marched past at the end for everybody to salute.
