aghst Thursday at 07:13 AM Share Thursday at 07:13 AM (edited) Did Adam and Steve explain why they didn't pick another team of star holders? What they should have done was pick another strong team because their best chance to stay out of eliminations is to win the Dailies and keep winning them. So they should have targeted two strong teams, get one eliminated. However, the way the house vote went down, maybe the rest of the house will be targeting each other instead of them again. Daily was more about doing the anagram after they matched enough letters. The elimination, Big T and Corey were going to have difficulties balancing because of the difference in height and weight. Plus Big T seemed to have difficulty putting the top star on and keeping it on. ImpinAintEasy Thursday at 06:10 PM Share Thursday at 06:10 PM I'm watching out of habit right now. It's just an extremely weak cast. I guess I'm interested to see if they can make it so the less athletic/out of shape players can have a chance at winning. Otherwise, this is just going to be a cakewalk for Adam and Steve. 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152203-s05e06-a-star-holder-is-born/#findComment-8599874
LaurelleJ Thursday at 11:44 PM Share Thursday at 11:44 PM (edited) Agree upthread, I am also watching out of habit. I guess I'm a challenge completist, however I keep forgetting what happens on the seasons. Still failing to see why this couldn't be on Paramount+ instead of MTV. That said, this episode has been better than others. I feel like the non-star holders should band together and continuously throw in 2 star holder teams so that there will be more stars available for dailies. I was so glad that Adam and Steve won to force someone else to be in the eliminations. I just hate that it was Frank and Sam. I like Sam ok but Frank sucks. Hope their star is stolen. I wonder how long Amber and Jessy are going to sit there and do nothing. This was a masterclass in challenge politics and gameplay. Veronica and Katie totally got the heat off themselves. When the scapegoat is not available (Adam and Steve) then people will turn to the weak links to buy time. If I'm Adam and Steve, Frank and Sam would have been my vote. Next week's preview had too much Frank, but also had activated Veronica. We forge on. Lantern7 Friday at 06:10 AM Share Friday at 06:10 AM 11 hours ago, ImpinAintEasy said: I'm watching out of habit right now. Hey, me too. I was planning on recording the episode and watching Survivor "live," but I felt that I would benefit from thirty minutes of rest before the season premiere of The Amazing Race. I don't think I would have lost either way. Aside from Adam & Steve potentially reaching the single-season elimination record and Turbo's career as a singer (search for that on YouTube; it is really friggin' bizarre), I'm not feeling that invested. Even if Steve & Adam were to win and Steve was able to take all of the prize money, it would still feel "mid." Also, Steve has never struck me as being an asshole. At least the mission and Jungle were well thought-out. I wouldn't have thought Nay & Turbo would have done well because English wasn't Turbo's first language. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152203-s05e06-a-star-holder-is-born/#findComment-8600383
Girl in a Cardigan Friday at 07:34 AM Share Friday at 07:34 AM I had to laugh so so hard when Amber was in confessional being like, "Veronica wouldn't lie to me." Like girl, what? If Veronica told me the sky was blue, I'd go outside to check, just to be sure. Katie and Veronica may suck at the challenges, but that was an incredible game play to get what they wanted in the Jungle. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/152203-s05e06-a-star-holder-is-born/#findComment-8600430
