Xeliou66 Wednesday at 03:26 AM Share Wednesday at 03:26 AM Good, intense episode. It was interesting how it was just Maggie, Scola and Jubal plus the analysts, but the episode worked fine with just them and flowed well. Interesting that OA and Isobel were gone without explanation at the same time though, but this show has a deep cast so the episode was fine. The episode started in the middle of a case which was unusual. I liked the action scenes at the warehouse, Scola had a couple of nice shots taking down the bad guys. I also liked Jubal talking to one of the victims to get a lead on the ring, and the work by the analysts. I did think Maggie kind of screwed up the situation at the start, Scola seemed to want to move in but Maggie thought it should be played out and it ended in disaster. It seemed like she should’ve been prepared for the traffickers to want to call, and maybe could’ve had something to disguise her voice to throw off the bad guys until the other agents could move in, seemed a bit unprepared. Elise blamed herself, but if anyone was to blame it wasn’t Elise but Maggie. I guess the 911 operator will be a new love interest/friend for Maggie, I liked him fine. Good episode overall, I wasn’t sure about the situation at the start but the episode improved and flowed well and was a solid story. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151908-s07e12-manhunt/#findComment-8584961

Snazzy Daisy Wednesday at 04:01 PM Author Share Wednesday at 04:01 PM The budget cut in Wolf-verse hits hard. I miss OA and Isobel. 😩 It’s refreshing to see Elise gets to play a bigger part, joining the agents in the field. Will Joel Lowry the 911 dispatcher be Maggie’s new love interest? I hope so… ☺️ 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151908-s07e12-manhunt/#findComment-8585255
januaryman Wednesday at 05:48 PM Share Wednesday at 05:48 PM This felt like a partial remake of the SVU 911-call episode since Maggie's practically turning into Olivia Benson anyway. More Elise is OK with me. I still think she should be Scola's new partner. 4 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151908-s07e12-manhunt/#findComment-8585339

More Elise is OK with me. I still think she should be Scola's new partner. You read my mind -- I had the exact same thought about that SVU 911 call episode. Last night reverted back to a bit too much St. Maggie which it used to do in earlier seasons and I did not care for it then nor last night. I was super irritated that Maggie never thanked the 911 operator, either on the phone or in person (or did I miss it?). That was odd to me -- yes, they were both just doing their jobs but he literally provided life-saving information to Maggie on how to address the situation when the little girl was dying. And yes, Elise is a favorite. I don't see her in the field with Scola but I love her calm smarts in the JOC. Kelly and Ian too. Great team there. Xeliou66 Wednesday at 11:11 PM Share Wednesday at 11:11 PM Interesting I didn’t make the connection with the SVU episode even though I know it very well - I guess because Maggie and Benson don’t remind me of each other - I’ve never gotten the feeling that FBI hero worships its characters on near the level SVU does with St Olivia, yeah certain episodes make certain characters look very good but it’s not done anywhere near the level of SVU where St O constantly has everyone basically bowing at her feet and telling her she’s awesome. Not even close to an SVU episode as this was much better. Edited Thursday at 03:47 AM by preeya 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151908-s07e12-manhunt/#findComment-8586171

Agreed 100% - FBI is much better and more entertaining than anything the St Olivia hour, I mean SVU, has done in years. I don’t think this was ripped off from SVU at all, and even if it borrowed elements from SVU, that SVU episode was 20 years old, most people wouldn’t even make the connection. And I’ve never thought of Maggie as anything like Olivia. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151908-s07e12-manhunt/#findComment-8586195

That undercover buy and bust or follow was one of the worst things I have seen for lack of coverage. Just one agent on the ground when gun fire started. At the end with the 9-1-1 and Lone Star RN turned operator I was thinking don't those SWAT/Hostage Rescue Team have a medic on the team as routine these days?
