Empress1 January 4 Share January 4 I didn’t think this was a good episode. Everyone was kind of all over the place. Kimberly was driving me nuts. Her quirkiness can sometimes be cute but she tipped over into annoying. She already had a class with Brian, she didn’t need to annoyingly do the tour. The library kiss was cute though. We don’t need Taylor. It’s OK for there to just not be a queer blonde girl on the show now that Renée Rapp quit. Also didn’t we establish that her roommate is straight last episode? Why is Whitney acting like privilege and connections aren’t a thing when her mother is a US senator?! She spent summer break hobnobbing with Kamala and Doug! She’s not a scholarship student, which I’d probably have pointed out in Canaan’s place. “We are not the same.” Kasey is cute but not a beauty and definitely not hot, so her whining about her beauty was really annoying. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151287-s03e07-the-rodeo/#findComment-8546396
atomic January 4 Share January 4 Whitney cheating with Canaan doesn't even make sense. She's so pissed at Isaiah for doing something nice for her that she runs back into the arms of a guy who got with her best friend? She has never even had good romantic chemistry with Canaan, which makes this even more annoying. Throw the whole Kasey character in the trash. She continues to grate, and I hate that her obsession with making the top 50 hottest list resulted in Cooper getting her on the list instead of her realizing how ridiculous she was being. I guess Bela and Arvind are cute, but I miss her comedy writing storyline. A college girl pursuing that career was actually a fresh angle I hadn't seen on TV before, and it's disappointing that they couldn't give Bela this redemption arc without abandoning it altogether. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151287-s03e07-the-rodeo/#findComment-8546482

I thought she took the tour because she really wanted to take the tour and had nothing to do with Brian other than he happened to be doing the tours. But maybe I missed something. And is Brian the guy whose father died and was a misogynist? I don't know why she'd be into him. I continue to enjoy Tig, though. 1 hour ago, atomic said: Whitney cheating with Canaan doesn't even make sense. I can only think it's to give Canaan something to do but he's just be there most of this season. Her story is just awful this season. 3 hours ago, Empress1 said: Also didn’t we establish that her roommate is straight last episode? Yes we did but hoping against hope is easy to believe, especially for someone in college. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151287-s03e07-the-rodeo/#findComment-8546526

Brian was in that episode though and they kept showing little shots of him that suggested he was into Kimberly so they did foreshadow that. The whole thing still kinda felt out of left field to me in this ep though. I get whiplash with how fast this show goes through things tbh. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151287-s03e07-the-rodeo/#findComment-8546562
atomic January 4 Share January 4 Brian introduced himself in the symposium as president of the Essex College Democrats and a former intern with the ACLU. I don't know why they have to give Kimberly a new boyfriend every episode, but "Himberly" does seem more her speed than all the "himbos" she typically dates. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151287-s03e07-the-rodeo/#findComment-8546573

I meant that if they wanted to put Kimberly and Himberly (I love Lila!) together, they already had the excuse that they’re in the same class so having them meet up again on the tour wasn’t necessary. The class is rigorous; have them study together. I guess the tour was meant to show that they’re the same kind of weird, but they could have gotten there in other ways. 3 hours ago, atomic said: I guess Bela and Arvind are cute, but I miss her comedy writing storyline. Her trying to salvage her comedy writing would be a much better redemption arc than her FAF situation. I’d even prefer seeing her try to get her grades up generally, since apparently her GPA is trash. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151287-s03e07-the-rodeo/#findComment-8546588
