AnimeMania December 26, 2024 Share December 26, 2024 The players prepare for the next game: a six-legged pentathlon, where each team member must clear a mini-game to survive — or face collective elimination. Hanahope December 26, 2024 Share December 26, 2024 Ooo game switch. Planned or decided when Gi-hun showed he’d tell everyone the tricks (not that it would help everyone). Looks like the triangles are running their own skimming operation behind the bosses back. And the female triangle (bunny) is trying to spoil it. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151224-s02e04-six-legs/#findComment-8540671
dubstepford wife December 26, 2024 Share December 26, 2024 (edited) I think it was planned. As people get eliminated and they move the beds we'll see the walls more clearly, but from what I can tell on the back wall, the drawings look different. Now that I'm halfway through, I feel like you can kind of tell that the writer didn't intend a sequel. A lot of these characters are extremely similar to their season one counterparts. The writer/director couldn't bring them back, so instead, they recreated the same characters but in different bodies. Spoiler I actually rolled my eyes at the end of the last episode when 001 was revealed to be In Ho. So we've got In Ho as as replacement for Il Nam, purple haired rapper guy as this season's Deok Su, the sweet and quirky ex-marine as Ali, the shaman lady is a lot like the crazy lady of season one, and then there's the stoic morally ambiguous North Korean defector lady, though this time a soldier instead of a player. And they're still doing the organ harvesting thing? Why did that need to be brought back? The point of that was to illustrate the way the game leaders value equality, albeit in a very sick and twisted way. They don't have a player for a doctor so it doesn't serve much purpose to the plot. Helena Dax December 27, 2024 Share December 27, 2024 There's something about the actor who plays In Ho that reminds me a lot of Mads Mikkelsen. Nice to see the games are different. I wonder what In Ho's intentions are, anyway. I mean, why is he taking part in the Games? The old man was dying and it made sort of sense that he wanted to participate, but In Ho seems to be fine and there were other ways to control Gi-hun. Loved this episode! 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151224-s02e04-six-legs/#findComment-8541038
Mindthinkr December 27, 2024 Share December 27, 2024 Am I the only one who’s never heard of some of these games? 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151224-s02e04-six-legs/#findComment-8541137
Hanahope December 27, 2024 Share December 27, 2024 Most of them appear to be similar to or the same as games I saw as a kid except for diachi(?) (the envelope looking one that the recruiter does). The most different one was the five colored pieces game, but it was played somewhat like a game of jacks. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151224-s02e04-six-legs/#findComment-8541253
kittykat December 29, 2024 Share December 29, 2024 (edited) I always appreciate how this show effortlessly blends light moments of comedy with the horror. Poor Gi-Hun and his Dalgona dream. I loved his dear in the headlights look when he didn't want to admit he chose umbrella. So the organ harvesting is still going on and they got smarter by having the doctor be a worker instead of a player but now No-Eul is busting it up. In-Ho may disapprove of the racket but his second officer is running things now On 12/26/2024 at 12:03 PM, dubstepford wife said: I think it was planned. Not everyone is a true believer like In-Ho, who has it in his head that the games give people who had bad luck or made bad choices in life a fair shot at fortune. It's why all the games aren't based on physical strength. Some are like the black clad officer , who's using the games to make extra money and watch innocent people die for entertainment. I don't think the game was a last minute change either. Red light is probably the inaugural game and Squid closes out but the between four change each year. Ack a cliffhanger. Let's see how close Team Plot Armor cuts it. Edited December 29, 2024 by kittykat 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151224-s02e04-six-legs/#findComment-8542016
