S02.E05: Boom

That was a turn of events but they telegraphed it when Angelica was out by the keel of the boat and the sail boom kept swinging.

So do they try to cover it up like they did JP’s murder?  They have no reason to, the boom has her blood on it so that should be sufficient evidence that it was an accident.  But this show is about the “coven” trying to evade arrest.

The cop is desperate enough to steal that money but why would Grace stash the money and where was she driving to?  They better tie up these loose strings.

They also need to explain Angelica’s motivations, beyond being nosy and trying to take advantage of the Garveys.

Eva walks away after Ian kisses her but she hesitated first.  She’s not done with sex.

Bloody Hell.

The cop stole the money to pay for his custody battle. The sisters are going to be accused of killing Bride of Satan.

The only good to come of anything is Becca may give her baby to Bibi to raise.

It was pretty obvious when Angelica said "let's go out on the sea and scatter Grace's ashes" that she'd end up going overboard.  Good on Becca for at least trying to save her.

Maybe she will succeed, and then Angelica will be in their debt for a change.

The missing $20K is buried under Trotsky’s pen! And now it’s gone…

Was Ian really grieving when he met Grace at the bereavement group? Or he likes to prey on grieving women? He can’t keep his hands off Eva — hugging her and kissing her multiple times.

The car at the cliff side from episode 1, could it be Ian’s car? 👀

I know that Bibi wants a smart kid, but there’s still a possibility that Nora and her will eventually adopt Becka’s baby.

It’s really puzzling at first that Angelica disinvites Eva, Blanaid and Ian to the ash scattering — 3 most important persons in Grace’s life. Then we find out about her evil plan to “suffocate” Eva.

“Check out Kate Winslet.”

😂😂😂

One minute Angelica is clutching the precious biscotti tin, then getting bashed on her face and going overboard the next. I burst out laughing at the whole melodramatic sequence. Do I feel bad? Nope.

Angelica is wearing a life vest when she falls off the boat. Could she still be alive? 🤔

Didn't Grace have them with her when she died but they couldn't find them in the wreckage? Or am I completely misremembering? Seemed like a small pile of bills to make up 20k, too. 🤔 Regardless, goddammit Loftus, I was rooting for you, man!

Kind of a bummer if Angelica is the death the sisters will be covering up this season because I've changed my mind and now I find Ian shady as fuck. I feel like the show has spent so much time making us hate Angelica and think she's up to no good that the REAL bad guy is gonna turn out to be someone we wouldn't have suspected, and Ian is being wayyyy too nice to Eva (and doesn't seem remotely as devastated as her for someone who just lost his wife). I found it interesting that Eva thought nothing of the inconsistency in the story of how Ian and Grace met, and they made a point of emphasizing how she's afraid of Angelica but not of him at the police station.

I wish Eva had pulled back more before it got to the kiss. Would Donal comfort her that way? No, and she's known him longer.

I was disappointed that DI Loftus stole the money. But I am also weirdly curious about his legal battles with his ex-wife.

I am hoping that Bibi and Nora don't raise Becca's baby. I'm not even convinced Bibi wants another child. Becca doesn't know what she wants to do, but I don't see her carrying the baby to term, giving birth, then signing away her parental rights so her sister and sister-in-law can adopt a child who is always going to be around her.

What bothered me about that scene was the fact that Blanaid could have seen it. For a bit I thought she was in the car, but I guess she walked off.

So much of what they do and say is in the view or earshot of Blanaid. In season 1, Blanaid knew how strict her father was but we saw JP actively try to keep her from knowing he was abusive. But I guess that's just TV for ya. On other shows, people openly discuss murder in parking lots.

The entire boat scene from the moment Angelica got onto the boat was pure dark comedy gold. I do think she could still be alive. It will be JP all over again  😂😂😂

Am I the only one who doesn't want Bibi and Nora to adopt Becca's baby? Bibi seems uncertain about adding having another child. And Becca is uncertain about what she wants to do but I don't see her wanting to sign over her parental rights and then seeing the child every day.

I think that’s his MO

Yes, he seems weirdly OK with too many things and he's too involved in the family's secrets. I hate that they tell him so much. He knows where all their pain points are. And as awful as Angelica was (or is, not sure whether she's dead), I think she picked up on something about Ian.
