I know I shouldn't think too much about it, but how the hell is there a giant hole abyss in the basement(?) of the courthouse? And with nothing around it to prevent people from falling in?

And how come weeks of dumping trash into said abyss never hit anything but one cello case did?

This wasn't a bad episode, apart from the implausibility of a hole that looks like it's basically a portal to the underworld, sitting in the middle of the floor with no barriers around it! No one's ever fallen into that thing?

I like having Wendie Malick around. She and John Larroquette play well off each other.

The episode had some good moments, and I was especially delighted they had Betsy Sodaro as a guest star.  She is wonderful in her regular recurring role as Nancy on Ghosts, and she didn't disappoint here.  

Wendy Malick has always been a favorite of mine, whatever role/show she is on.  And I want to give kudos to Nyambi Nyambi as Wyatt, whom I remember from Mike and Molly.  Good to see him utilize his comedic skills even more on Night Court.  He's an awesome addition to the cast.
