blackwing November 20 Share November 20 I thought this was a good episode. The murder cases were suspenseful, and they got me because they made it seem like the two were going to be connected but then it was revealed they aren't connected at all. And that the first murder is carrying forward into the season finale. I really felt for the boxing daughter. She had an argument with the landlord, shoved her, and accidentally killed her. Alberg said she would get charged with manslaughter and probably do no time (or maybe he said a year). Isn't that what she would get if she had just called the cops immediately? Is the dad going to get charged with obstruction and moving the body and trying to make it look like the first killer did it? He should. It was so sad when the daughter was sobbing and hugging her dad as she was being led to processing and saying she messed up. Cassandra wasn't annoying. She and Karl seemed very civil with each other, and there was little angst! The art teacher is obviously the killer of the first woman. He posed her like a crucifiction in one of those old masters paintings. Either Karl's daughter or her friend are going to be abducted by him in the season finale. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150598-s01e07-family-concerns/#findComment-8513131
Snazzy Daisy November 20 Author Share November 20 The killer that they’re looking for could be Mr. Cummins, the art teacher. Jane Doe was posed with flowers in her hand. The killer may have his inspiration from the Ophelia painting. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150598-s01e07-family-concerns/#findComment-8513243
kaygeeret November 21 Share November 21 Not a bad episode. I will try harder to keep watching. Ditch the romance and I'm all in 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150598-s01e07-family-concerns/#findComment-8513305
Daff November 21 Share November 21 I’m really having a hard time caring about any of these characters. The daughter is driving me up the wall as she can’t quite seem to be intelligible. Speaking soto voche, leaving out whole syllables, and then she stuffs food in her mouth while continuing her lines. Is it him or is it Cassandra's friend Roger? They made both men kind of creepy and left it open ended. I think whoever it is will kidnap Alberg's daughter and her friend and the friend will be killed. I guess Cassandra is magically over her PTSD and is fine being around Alberg again. Which I'm actually fine with because I was convinced they would drag out the angst, so kudos to the writers. This is a weird little show, but I like it. I'll miss it after this short season is over and sadly I don't think it will be renewed. 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150598-s01e07-family-concerns/#findComment-8514477

This is leaning me in the direction of the art teacher, but I'll agree with emma675 and say that Cassandra's friend is also very creepy and I didn't like his expression when she suggested that he should play a sociopath. He might turn out to be a red herring though. From the next episode sneak peak, it looks as if Alberg's daughter's friend is going to be at risk. I wonder if it will be from the teacher, Cassandra's weirdo friend, or the girl's douchy ex-boyfriend? 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150598-s01e07-family-concerns/#findComment-8516119
KeithJ December 18 Share December 18 If Cassandra doesn't get back together with Karl, is there really any reason for her character to remain on the show? Her story line is pointless. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150598-s01e07-family-concerns/#findComment-8535875
kaygeeret December 19 Share December 19 I thought the ending was pretty clear that they were back together. It was a weird resolution tho'. Sorta serious and casual at the same time. I do wish they would drop her character and the story line. It is pointless and the actors don't seem to have much chemistry - - their story line with each other certainly doesn't help. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/150598-s01e07-family-concerns/#findComment-8536107
