Joey and Jenna dance contemporary 

I said the same thing  before, Joey  looks like a pro. I agree  with CA, something  was missing,  just slightly.

Joey looks like he has been bulking up.   The lifts were very strong, I thought, especially since he only did his first lifts last week.   Overall I agree with the score, although Carrie Ann gets on my nerves sometimes.

I really liked Joey's dance, that was so good. 

I was hoping a couple would do that dance from Helio and Julianne, that's always been one of my favorites. I think the original is still the stronger of the two, but I did enjoy their take on that.

I’m going to be sad if all these dances that received perfect scores before aren’t going to match when replicated but I also won’t be surprised because it’s difficult to copy iconic.

I’m just going to have to go back to YT to catch the originals for a trip down memory lane.

This AT was such a disadvantage with the height difference for a proper hold but Dani was killing it.

I have to hand it to Daniella,  she choreographs the damn out of every dance. I'll give her a 10,  especially with the height difference. .

James Hinchcliffe  was wonderful,  big shoes to fill.

I'm glad they didn't give Danny any 10's for that. It saved me from turning off the show. They favor that guy way too much when he really isn't that good

So You Think You Can Dance did an episode like this when each couple replicated a Mia Michaels routine. (Witney and Lindsay were contestants that year, actually.) and it had the same problem, more or less, that this episode does. The dances were fine but none of them were half as good as the original, iconic, best-of-SYTYCD-routines.

I don't think I've ever seen a pro so deftly choreograph and dance a dance with requirements to make an audience not notice their partner's flaws.  I'm so glad the judges called out how much she was working.

The AT?  I don't think so. Dwight barely moved.  I absolutely think it was brilliant choreography but he didn't do much more than he did last week in the contemporary.  He could get away with it in the contemporary because there aren't any specific steps they're required to do but there was a lot of Argentine tango he didn't do that we expect other contestants to do for a good score. 

Stephen's waltz was his best dance so far.  It was smart to use the fog at his feet to hide the clomping he sometimes does.

I liked Chandler and Brandon's AT but I don't really see how it was inspired by the original.  Derek's had a certain personality this one lacked.  I think I would have liked it better if I weren't comparing it to another.
