I think Meghan actually made the same mistake this episode as last episode-she stood back and let her station partner take up a raw/undercooked dish.  Last week she even said she would be more involved and speak up.  But, unfortunately, she chose to help Ann Marie rather than focusing on her own station (the salmon) or help her station partner (Amanda).  So, it was kind of a case of bad decision-making.  However, I wish Gordon had not told her she was leaving due to being nominated twice as that puts the spotlight on Egypt and his multiple nominations.  Instead, he should have pointed to her decision-making errors.

Based on what we have been shown, Megan has the temperament to be a head chef for GR, while Ann Marie does not.  What an odd decision.

And yeah you are right.  Why did he bend over backward for Egypt, but with Megan it’s like “your team hates you bye”.

Anyone think that Megan just had enough of Hell’s Kitchen?  That’s the way I’m leaning anyway.

I'd have had enough of it too if I felt that Gordon was more forgiving of Egypt than he was of me. I got the feeling Gordon put her on thin ice after last week and she knew it.

I think Megan is just too reserved overall to be what he's looking for. She keeps her cool, but doesn't take charge as much as she needs to. She was in danger last week and she tried to correct that by bailing out Ann Marie, but then fell down on her own station as a result.

I do agree that Ann Marie doesn't have the right temperament, she's too easily flustered. But her day will come soon, I'm sure. Amanda also needs to go, she also doesn't have the temperament and seems to think she can just talk her way out of ever being eliminated by refusing to go up. Gordon will find her soon enough.

Out of the women's group, I think only Whit seems like a real contender. The guys are doing better, but they don't stand out to me except for Egypt because he's the loudest and Kyle because he's the loudest in a different way. I don't think I could even name any of the others.
