Chalby October 14 Share October 14 I haven't even seen tonight's episode, but I have been perseverating on Faith during the last week, because I want her to have a loving & successful relationship. One that eventually sees her move to another country (Canada?) where she'll find others love and accept her. Loren definitely says all the right words when he wants her to stay, but I also want to know what he says when cameras are down. Beautiful words certainly feel good, but I also wish Faith an exclusive relationship. 3 1 1 Link to comment
AR Traveler October 14 Share October 14 If I were Sharp, I would really ban Rayne from the Tell-All. She's beyond Angela-level crazy and abusive. I was fearing for Chidi and his sister, but the crew would surely step in. And don't ever wave a finger in my face, or you're drawing back a stump. Varja is beautiful but is also desperate, and that is drawing her into bad decisions, like Bozo. When you're lonely and, let's face it, thirsty, it's like grocery shopping when you're hungry. You start throwing all kinds of junk into your cart. In fact, that inner emptiness is probably 99% of this show. Why else would anyone get themselves in these situations? I feel for her past. I have a friend who left Yugoslavia for London as a teenager and had to watch from a distance as her own country rent itself apart. It's still difficult for her to discuss, but she and her husband have made sure to share their culture and language with their children. I like Niles but he's making me stabby. We're going to go on and on with him waffling until he just says "Oh what the hell" and marries her anyway. Put on your big boy pants and tell her! Another one in the "Make it stop!" category is Tigerlily, or specifically her voice. Watch this mess of a couple be the only one that lasted. 2 1 2 Link to comment
Chalby October 14 Share October 14 I'm observing a concerning pattern here, and I am not trying to be funny. I have concerns that 4 of the people I watched tonight, are behaving or speaking in such a way that I worry for their mental health. Tigerlily seems very cognizant that their relationship will require hard work, but Adnan appears like a toddler in a man's body. He's unable to read a room, never mind reading Tigerlily's mood. He apologized, then immediately expected her to be happy. When there's no immediate smile, he points out his apology, and wants to know why she's not doing as expected. How can I even assess their compatibility when he cannot manage the simplest of conversations? I really don't think Adnan knows what she means by hypocritical. He's quick to quiet her with "Yes, baby" but says nothing about the situation. Next, he is wrapping a scarf around her head, but not his. Does he realize how off-putting this is? The new gal, Vanya has several emotional flags waving for me, but given childhood war trauma and her not so good present relationship, I feel bad for her. However, she has already given this guy a second chance after he ditched her for another. If it was my day of departure, and I hadn't heard a word, I just wouldn't go. The more she devalues her time and presence for him, the more he will push to see if she keeps returning. She has had a hard enough life, don't mess around with her emotions. I don't even have to elaborate on Rayne. We all watched her spiral out tonight. I feel like we don't have all the cards, and I will be furious if TLC edited this so we never know what Chidi's sister said or did. All we see is Rayne talking nonsense about the earth, evil sisters ruining her relationship, and walking away from a 5 year relationship because she's being treated like an enemy. Who knows, they only show us the scenes where Rayne is responding or reacting to a situation. Rayne and this sister have been communicating 5 years. I put money down that the sister outright said, no funny business under my roof, so Chidi made up an excuse so the sister wouldn't get blamed. I would even hazard a guess that Rayne and sister have gotten into arguments before. And yes, Rayne is delusional, but Chidi definitely implied the two of them would be intimate, and talking about their futures, etc. I've mentioned my concerns with Loren's flippant attitude towards sex and partners, and especially his dismissal of protection. Terrifies me what he could get himself into. I can't help but feel Loren is talking Faith into maybe pursuing drag because he would know what is needed to assist and manage her, and that way he can live there on the cheap. Run Faith. Lastly, I would not appreciate my fellow offering "an alternative" game when I was expecting the works. Who doesn't have a condom by the 3rd day in? No protection even contemplated for first try, would result in the Ick factor for me. I wouldn't be able to wrap my mind around that. I just realized that idiot woman with Sunny needs to get herself emotionally straight, as well. I am very annoyed with Neale and Matilda. She wants him and assumes he is there to marry her. It is so disrespectful to keep dragging her along while he's telling the camera, the wedding is pushed back. He needs to just marry the girl or quit wasting her time. I still feel for Rayne, that she has waited 5 years, and he shut her down. So, 5 people with either mental or emotional concerns, which I feel this show now seeks to exploit. I would love to know how other countries view Americans and their quest for love. 3 2 Link to comment

Stuckathome October 14 Share October 14 Renee is certifiable. Like, on Angela level of scary, making me glad the camera crew was there to protect Chidi. That was a tense scary scene. Like, after acting like a scary, mean nut job did she actually think they could run off to a hotel together and hook up?! Like he could just forget the histrionics and crazy talk?? His brother in law and sister stayed a hell of a lot calmer than I would have in that situation. Besides the crazy talk (the shit abut when earth formed??) the finger wagging in his face and his sisters face was HELL NO. I feel sorry for Matilda. I get that Niles is on the spectrum so maybe he has issues putting his foot down and didn’t stop the wedding talk beforehand. But….she has limited to no experience with someone on the spectrum and so I can see how she has just been trusting what he told her. He continues to string her along and seems to have a sense that she will be mad. Sir, it’s more than that—she has 200 people showing up. She will be utterly humiliated and potentially ostracized, plus it’s all caught on film. loren is disgusting and I think Faith is going along with the trip because he paid for it already and hey it gets her more TLC $$ the more episodes she appears in so 🤷🏻♀️ Brian continues to be a sleazy ***. His comments at dinner about how every other trip to Brazil those panties dropped for him the first night. Classy. She wasn’t into it and said no and that’s his freaking reaction?! Run Ingrid, run! 4 1 1 Link to comment
surfgirl October 16 Share October 16 (edited) Rayne is BSC and now Chidi and his family see it in all its scary glory. Good riddance to bad trash. Honestly? She manifested that 'sister' drama because she doesn't want to have anyone near Chidi, she wants to isolate him from his family, and that is a very dangerous character trait, IMO. She is mentally unstable, like many of these 90-dayers. Niles, he's in way over his head and should have had a chaperone come with him, period, end of story. And if Mathilda never thought to stop and ask if she's moving too fast, then that shows she is not ready to marry someone on the spectrum. Loren is the lowest form of scum garbage. He is using Faith, knowing it's her first relationship and knowing how trusting and vulnerable she is. I hate him and would like to punch his ass in the eye, to quote someone else on TV (I can't remember where that came from but I love it). I hope Faith is just going along with the trip so she can see her family on Loren's dime, and then she dumps his infected, skank ass once they are back in Manila. Also, I hope he gets kicked out of that hotel for non payment and ends up in the street, or better yet, call immigration and get his ass back on a plane home. Preferably as 'persona non grata' in Philippines so he can never return again and harass the people there. And then there's Brian, deluded King of Sex Tourism, admitting to Ingrid's friends that he is basically a Brazilian sex tourist and usually fucks women on night one after landing in country?!? What in the hell kind of friends does Ingrid have that they were not all disgusted and appalled at what he said to them?! And how desperate or stupid is Ingrid that she thinks his waiting to sleep with her is somehow 'special'?!? I think the fight they had after cameras left was less that he started 'kissing her stomach' and more likely that he aggressively went down on her and she panicked. I mean, let's be real, they kept saying how hot it was all day, and we saw no showers or anything, then he goes and tries for oral without asking her if she's comfortable with that? I wouldn't be comfortable with that either! His actions are that of a predator, and much like Big PrEd, I feel Brian uses his wheelchair as a prop for women to be 'kind' to him and give him what he wants, then if he doesn't get it he acts like he's been oh so wronged. Remember, this is the guy who popped half a Viagara on the first night, assuming Ingird would put out for him. He is disgusting and another man that I hope gets evicted from Brazil, never allowed to return. The women of Brazil do not deserve this harassment. Edited October 16 by surfgirl 2 1 2 Link to comment

Matilda is ready to marry whoever will say yes and get her the one way ticket out of Ghana. I forgot all about Bozo and Vanya (sp?).....based on the previews, he looks like a jackass doing this all for social media clout. I would say the same for her with her million jobs, but she seemed genuinely vulnerable and into this.....may be a stage 5 clinger, but nice. I think this season may have hit an all time low for preying on people with serious mental illness..... Vanya----PTSD from the war when she was a child, plus the fiance with a double life. Brian---former drug dealer and sex tourist Rayne----read what Chidi posts on reddit about the crazy talk from her that we didn't get to see. plus, well everything we DID see Vaneah (sp?? the one going to SA with her ex)---she is recovering from an eating disorder and Spoiler according to an article linked in another thread she was a victim of human trafficking when she was younger and then sent to an abusive group home/ED treatment facility that was shut down Tigerlily---may be mentally r*******, and I mean that in a true clinical sense. Loren----homeless, STD riddled "player" 3 1 Link to comment

It's as if the criteria is that the people involved have to have a secret, they've not already shared, that will offend, embarrass, or emotionally destroy the other person. I wonder if this show has contributed to the fear of foreigners entering the USA? 1 Link to comment
