CM-BlueButterfly September 22 Share September 22 Did you have a favorite actor or was it the whole cast that made the show for you? Is there an actor you were unfamiliar with before but whose career you started following after The West Wing? Link to comment
Bastet September 23 Share September 23 Allison Janney quickly became my favorite (I only vaguely recognized her coming in), but for me this group is the embodiment of why SAG has an ensemble category among its awards. 3 1 Link to comment
jah1986 September 23 Share September 23 I came for Rob Lowe and stayed for the entire cast. I was familiar with John Spencer from LA Law and of course Martin Sheen. I have followed Dule Hill's career since this show. The recurring characters were great too, especially John Amos' Fitzwallace and Anna Deavere Smith's Nancy McNally. I liked Lily Tomlin when she joined but never quite got over losing Mrs. Landingham. 3 Link to comment
Good Queen Jane September 23 Share September 23 I really liked the fact that there were minor recurring characters: Margaret, Carol, Ed and Larry. Even the same White House reporters. It just made it feel real. 2 Link to comment

ProudMary September 23 Share September 23 Not Carol. Martin Sheen's daughter, Renée Estevez, played Nancy, one of the President's secretaries. (The real-life POTUS has four.) 2 Link to comment

Good Queen Jane September 24 Share September 24 I always laugh at the scene in the final episode where Bartlett says to Nancy “Tell your mother I’ll see her soon.” 1 Link to comment
