Well, this worked as a good finale in case the show doesn't get any more episodes. I wonder if that "middle level" sentiment came from the genuine life experience of someone who tried to make it in the entertainment industry.

I do hope the show gets renewed for another season but it is on Netflix so who knows.    But yes I agree it does work as a good finale.

This would be a good finale, but I would be happy to have more. Its been a really fun watch!

Not sure, but I did think it was funny that Richard Kind's speech about how was never a big star but is famous enough where he is always working kind of describes Busy Philipps's career. Like if you look at her IMDB she has been working steadily since 1999 but most of her credits are for 1 or 2 episodes. Even shows where she had a more permanent role (F&G, Dawsons Creek, Cougar Town) she probably was somewhere around number 5 on the call sheet.
