I saw a Reddit thread where a lot of people who absolutely hate him were talking about him doing this show. Apparently his wife is an "influencer" or something and is well known in some circles. I'd never heard of either of them and don't really care but I am curious what that was all about. Link to comment
Tango64 February 16 Share February 16 Way too much time on the contrived selecting of team members and the competition between the judges. Link to comment
KeithJ February 16 Share February 16 I know the chefs are under pressure and not in the best cooking environments but it always gets me when they say "I make this all the time, it can't go wrong" and then they put a dish of crap up for the judges (Chris and Ari) Link to comment
blackwing February 19 Share February 19 (edited) Matt was the right choice to go home. The raspberries were a really really poor choice. Raspberries with harissa? Ugh. I think the raspberries were meant to go with someone who picked a meat. Complete with the "stealing" of Jordan by Gordon. OMG THE DRAMAZ!!! Ugh. I don't care for Jordan either. It does seem like he's gotten a lot of attention so far. Just like last season, I pegged Tucker as one of the annointed ones from the start. The past two seasons it's been pretty obvious that it's contrived so that each mentor has one team member in the finals. If the pattern holds true and they go with rigging, that means the winner is going to come from Richard's team. Will be interesting to see what happens. Last season (I think) we had Trisha the weepy/semi-incompetent Asian female. This season we have Wendy. Every single time they are lined up and getting comments or about to hear decisions, she looks like she is going to cry. Seems like she was last pick for a reason. gaPeach February 21 Share February 21 I am finding this season more interesting than the previous seasons. I think part of it is because it seems as though the chefs this year are better. I think the pros are not as strong as some on the chefs on the social and home cooks. And I agree with poster upthread that said, when one of the chefs say "Oh I make that ALL THE TIME so this will be a breeze" and they end up having to cook to stay. Definitely the kiss of death to any chef. Link to comment
