Starchild December 2, 2023 Share December 2, 2023 Well that Mamet interview was pretty pointless. The only thing I took from it is that pornos don't need dialogue? Or something? 1 3 Link to comment
The Solution December 4, 2023 Share December 4, 2023 Okay. And rightly so, Bill can call out what a piece of shit Mike Johnson, and the rest of his Christian Nationalist buddies, is and that America is not a "christian" nation, and list all of the nations that have Islamic as part of their official titles but not see the hypocrisy in official, unquestioning support for the State of Israel? Unbelievable. I'm no anti-Semite and both sides in the Israel-Hamas conflict need to negotiate a livable solution, but official, unquestioning support for Israel is not acceptable and young people today see that. The United States is one step away from becoming a theocracy. How would Bill whine if the United States offered the same kind of unquestioning support to the Vatican that it offers to Israel? I'm probably also one of the three remaining people who watch his show, especially given the response to this thread, because he does raise important viewpoints that aren't addressed elsewhere and he does give a voice to alternative viewpoints. But come on. I also, reluctantly, voted for Hillary Clinton instead of Bernie Sanders in 2016 because I saw that it was too important not to take a chance on letting Donald Trump win and being able to say "I told you so". Holy Christ, how did this happen to our Country? Whew. Now I can take a safe breath for two seconds. Hopefully there are a few other people who see what our Nation is in danger of becoming and are willing to act to protect it. 3 1 Link to comment

T Do they? Do they really? Because if they did, they'd be condemning Hamas, wouldn't be justifying October 7th and towns wouldn't be canceling hanukah celebrations for fear of looking as if they stand with Israel. They also would realize that regardless of who is the president, the US would still side with Israel and not voting for Biden next year will not change anything in the middle east and make living in the US a million times worse. I honestly don't understand why people say they won't vote for Biden because of this when Trump was the one who initiated a Muslim ban. Edited December 4, 2023 by rwlevin Typo 1 1 Link to comment
Tachi Rocinante December 11, 2023 Share December 11, 2023 All I remember from the last time Mamet was on was that for as good a writer as he is, he wasn't nearly as bright as you'd expect. 1 Link to comment
