She's really needy.  I feel bad for her, but you need confirmation from yourself before you can expect it from others.  I feel *really* bad for her with his "I'm thinking about seeing other women - just physically" bit.  If that's not a flashing Exit sign, I don't know what is.

Hasn't that happened on this show before with being rushed to a halfway house or another jail?  I'm not buying that he was caught selling drugs in prison and they're just going to let him out on bail.  Maybe he served his full sentence and they can't try him before it completes?  There's a lot there that doesn't add up to me.

I wasn’t really paying attention so my bad. I thought what ended up happening was that Asante was released earlier than he told Kermit he was getting out. I figured there were no new charges; he lied about that, paroled earlier than he had told her and turned her phone off - to cut ties with her now that he’s out and doesn’t need her anymore?

They are implying in this episode that Asonte did get released early and ghosted her. The problem with the show is how the story works across the different episodes, and they spoil things with the commercials for upcoming episodes.  So they are suggesting that Asonte is in the wind, he turned off his phone, and Raneka is hanging at truck stops trying to figure out what to do.
