Jac September 3, 2014 Share September 3, 2014 (Rules borrowed from the Frasier Trivia Game) I will start it off by asking a trivia question about the series. The first one to answer it has to come up with the next question. Some rules: No fair Googling for the answer, this has to come from memory. There needs to be at least one other poster between you and your last answer/question. Let's give everyone a chance, even those on different time zones. It's your choice on whether you want multiple choice or just question/answer. First question: What is the name of the of the woman Frasier starts dating after his godawful date with Lilith in Second Time Around? (Bonus points if you can remember the correct spelling of her name and the reason it was spelt that way). 1 Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 3, 2014 Share September 3, 2014 Would that be Candi with an "i" -- like Ghandi? 1 Link to comment

cpcathy September 3, 2014 Share September 3, 2014 Lucia di Lammermoor. Diane and Frasier went to Europe in season three, but what specifically, was Frasier's destination? 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 Frasier had been accepted for a fellowship at the University of Bologna <-- is it bad that every time I spell that word, I think of the Oscar Meyer commercial? What was the name of the real bar that Cheers was based on? Link to comment
Jac September 4, 2014 Author Share September 4, 2014 Bull & Finch Name five university majors Diane has studied. 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 Name five university majors Diane has studied. I can't really answer as I was before this one, but if this gets stalled, I can help with two that I remember. Just putting it out there. Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 Taking a stab here: literature, women's studies, sociology, psychology, history? 1 Link to comment
cpcathy September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 Art History, Pre Law....some sort of Native American studies (or was that just a class?) 1 Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 Well, she did know an authentic Arapaho ceremonial tunic when she saw one! 1 Link to comment
Bort September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 So is it answered? Does Diane even know what all her majors were? The woman studied everything from English literature to underwater basket weaving. 2 Link to comment
cpcathy September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 I think it's safe to say we got most of them! Who would like to take the next trivia question? 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 Since I am Mod here (HA! Like that is important!), I vote Inquisitionist take the next question, since she tried first? It will all come out in the wash, as they say. Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 4, 2014 Share September 4, 2014 What was the name of Lisa Pantusso's short-lived fiancé? 1 Link to comment
Bort September 5, 2014 Share September 5, 2014 What was the name of Lisa Pantusso's short-lived fiancé? He even had an obnoxious name: Roy (my apologies to anybody not obnoxious named Roy) What are the names of all of Carla's children? (I'm worried this one might be too hard. I know it, though!) 1 Link to comment
cpcathy September 5, 2014 Share September 5, 2014 Anthony, Ann Marie, Serafina, Gino, Lucia, Ludlow, Jessie and Elvis. What is the name of the convent Diane retreats to after she returns from Europe? 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 5, 2014 Share September 5, 2014 Ansalem's (sp?) Abbey - Sisters of the Divine Severity In the episode where Sam and Diane are finally going to be married, Sam daydreams far into the future. Of the regulars (Sam, Diane, Cliff, Norm, Carla) who is the only one that didn't show up physically in his dream? Link to comment
cpcathy September 7, 2014 Share September 7, 2014 Well, in Sam's daydream, Cliff and Norm actually appear, Woody is spoken about and Carla calls them on the phone. Who were the two actors who took turns playing Gary, owner of Gary's Old Town Tavern? 1 Link to comment
cpcathy September 8, 2014 Share September 8, 2014 Uh oh, was this one too hard? I think on stumpers, it's okay to go and check as long as you know where to check (i.e. go to the episode on Netflix, etc) Link to comment
cpcathy September 9, 2014 Share September 9, 2014 The answer to my question was 1) Joel Polis and 2) Robert Desidario. Next question! Link to comment
Bort September 9, 2014 Share September 9, 2014 I'll get it. What was the name of Norm's laundromat/tanning salon business venture that ultimately failed? Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 9, 2014 Share September 9, 2014 Tan 'N' Wash. How could that possibly fail? According to Diane, bowlers sweat when they're wearing what? Link to comment
cpcathy September 9, 2014 Share September 9, 2014 Tweed! What does Sam think the painting in the Sistine Chapel is called? Link to comment
Bort September 9, 2014 Share September 9, 2014 Hilariously, I'm watching that episode right now. It was next on my netflix queue: Michelangelo's Two Muscular Guys Touching Fingers (although I didn't need the episode to be on to get it, I totally knew it). What was the name of the horror movie Rebecca's sister, Susan, was in? (But not the one she's NOT proud of...) Link to comment
BizBuzz September 10, 2014 Share September 10, 2014 What was the name of the horror movie Rebecca's sister, Susan, was in? (But not the one she's NOT proud of...) All I remember is Night of the Mutants. But I can't remember the other one, so I don't know if it's the one she is or is not proud of, so I wont ask another question in case I am wrong. Bort September 10, 2014 Share September 10, 2014 All I remember is Night of the Mutants. But I can't remember the other one, so I don't know if it's the one she is or is not proud of, so I wont ask another question in case I am wrong. That's right. She doesn't ever say the name of the one she's not proud of, just that it and Night of the Mutants are both "two-headed movies." 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 10, 2014 Share September 10, 2014 Two headed movies. ::giggle:: Ok, yeah! My question: What hockey team did Eddie Lebec play for when he first met Carla? Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 11, 2014 Share September 11, 2014 Wasn't he with the Bruins? And new to Boston? OK, I'll go with that. :-) Before she became known as Diane Chambers, Shelley Long appeared in local TV commercials for what Chicagoland company? 1 Link to comment
Bort September 12, 2014 Share September 12, 2014 Can we get a new question? This one seems to be too far out of left field. 1 Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 12, 2014 Share September 12, 2014 (edited) Or you can find the answer using youtube (and see a younger Shelley with less blonde hair). :-) ETA: Here's the video. The company was Homemakers Furniture. Next question... Edited September 12, 2014 by Inquisitionist 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 13, 2014 Share September 13, 2014 Ouch, that was a tough one! Finish this Norm quote ... What does Norm say after Sam says ... Can I draw you a beer, Norm? Link to comment
Bort September 13, 2014 Share September 13, 2014 I know what they look like, just pour me one. How did Frasier and Diane meet? (Not where, HOW) Link to comment
M. Darcy September 14, 2014 Share September 14, 2014 Didn't he break up a croquet fight between Diane and an elderly patient? Here's hopefully an easy one - how did Woody and Coach know each other. Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 14, 2014 Share September 14, 2014 Woody sent letters to big-city bars, and Coach was the only person who ever responded. In S1, Diane is visited by her college friend, Rebecca Proud. Rebecca has just parted ways with her long-time boyfriend, Elliott. In what field did Elliott receive his doctorate? 1 Link to comment
Bort September 14, 2014 Share September 14, 2014 Ichthyology! Then dumped Rebecca for a student while on a squid expedition. What was Rebecca Proud's own academic specialty? 1 Link to comment
Bort September 16, 2014 Share September 16, 2014 ^ No takers then? I'll go ahead and answer it and do a new question. Other Rebecca's academic specialty was translating Russian poetry. I can't imagine who was willing to pay her for that. New question: What Simpsons characters did these two actors play? 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 17, 2014 Share September 17, 2014 I know who Frasier voiced, but don't know the girl ... that is Andy Andy's wife to be right? Link to comment
Bort September 17, 2014 Share September 17, 2014 Yes. Well, as it all happened in Diane's head. 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 17, 2014 Share September 17, 2014 ::giggle:: Yeah, great episode. Ok, if someone wants to split this one, I have Frasier (Sideshow Bob) if you can figure out the other one. Link to comment
M. Darcy September 17, 2014 Share September 17, 2014 I think its Nancy Cartwright (Bart). 1 Link to comment
rubaco September 17, 2014 Share September 17, 2014 (edited) Aye caramba! That's none other than Bart Simpson! (Made even funnier because Sideshow Bob always wants to kill Bart.) What was the name of the lodge that Norm wanted to join (and Cliff was already a member)? Edited: M. Darcy beat me to it. Edited September 17, 2014 by rubaco 1 Link to comment
BizBuzz September 17, 2014 Share September 17, 2014 OMG! That is Nancy Cartwright??? I would have NEVER guessed that in a million years, but now that I know, how could I not??? Knights of Simatar? I am guessing, so let me know if it's right and then I will ask a question. Link to comment

That's why I love that episode. It's like, holy shit, it's Bart and Sideshow Bob! PS: sorry the picture sucked so much. I tried to find one online but came up empty so that was done with my iphone camera and Netflix on pause. Knights of Simatar? I am guessing, so let me know if it's right and then I will ask a question. Not my question, but the answer is correct, for what it's worth. Edited September 17, 2014 by kariyaki 1 Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 17, 2014 Share September 17, 2014 I saw Knights of the Scimitar just recently. It also has a storyline about Diane being attracted to a gorgeous young student in the class she is TAing, Lance Apollonaire played by J. Eddie Peck. Favorite line: after Sam asks Diane something like "whatever happened to the woman who said looks don't matter?" Diane answers: "She just pictured Lance picking flowers in his bikini briefs." Her tone and facial expression were just perfect. (I think Carla then add: "Me, too.") 1 Link to comment

I also loved when Diane said, "I know I probably shouldn't consider [going away with Lance for the weekend] but when I look at him, I... consider it." Link to comment
BizBuzz September 17, 2014 Share September 17, 2014 Awesome possum... Woody worked hard in coming up with a drink that he created and he called it the Blue Boyd of Happiness ... it already existed, by what name? Link to comment
Inquisitionist September 18, 2014 Share September 18, 2014 I just saw the episode recently, too. I believe it was a Blue Moon. In Bidding on the Boys, Lilith wins a date with Sam for $2,000. What was the previous high bid that she topped, and who had made it? 1 Link to comment
cpcathy September 18, 2014 Share September 18, 2014 That was hard, so I watched the episode to see who it was. The bid was $1250 and Rebecca made it. What was the name of the drink that the guys hope will trip up Wayne the bartender in Home is the Sailor (season six opener)? 1 Link to comment
