Here's hoping "Sexy" gives Cath the boot if there is a season 2. They are not a good fit.

I wouldn't mind Cath staying on in Season 2, but just take away the insecurity and make her a better partner to Dulce.  The fact that she's getting along with Eddie in the final episode gives me hope for that.  But please, let's drop "Sexy" as a nickname they use in public.  Who does that???  Who allows their partner to do that???

I will admit to having no idea who the killer is at this point.  I think Margaret is a red herring - I think she's hiding something, but the ominous music played around her just seems too obvious to tag her as the killer

Of course, Margaret Carruthers being played by Pamela Rabe, “Joan ‘The Freak’ Ferguson”, warden of the Wentworth prison on the teevee show “Wentworth” and a major teevee baddie, naturally you would have to suspect her.

And jeez Louise the town is straight wacko…

I kept thinking that the first victim having steak in his stomach (even though the tuna dish for dinner was mentioned several times) would be some kind of clue, but no. So why was it even in the script?

It's a mystery.  Mysteries often throw out minutiae to misdirect.

Kate Box and Kris McQuade are also Wentworth alumna.

This show has all my favorite hallmarks of a crime drama:  a convoluted mystery, a stellar supporting cast, a ribald sense of humor, a feminist sensibility and two lead detectives with oodles of chemistry.  🤞 for season 2.

Luke Hemsworth Joins Deadloch Season 2

Dulcie and Eddie are in Darwin investigating the death of Eddie’s former policing partner, Bushy. When a body is discovered in a remote town, they are flung into a new, sweatier, stickier investigation.

Luke Hemsworth will play Jason Wade, a celebrity croc-wrangler,  creator and star of “Jason Wade’s Adventures Down Under” and the owner of “Jason Wade’s Land of Crocs and Other Animals Wildlife Park”.

Enjoyed the show though Eddie was too much in the first couple of episodes.

But all the characters, especially the males, were so aggro, like Hastings but one of the teen soccer players too.

In fact, the killer was singling out "c****' or toxic men.  Well other than Sven and some of the young boys, which male on this show wasn't a c***?

Ray would have killed them all if given a chance.

I've only seen a couple of other Australian shows.  They all seem to feature characters who are loud and overbearing.  But maybe that's how Australians see themselves?

Dulcie and Eddie decide not to call for reinforcements when they confront Ray.  I didn't realize that they had guns until they pulled them out when they saw Ray.

They made Hastings an incompetent blowhard but they were trying to track down a proficient serial killer. Maybe the writers thought it was better for the story to have just the women stop Ray from killing all the other men.  But Australian cops must call for backup?

Does anyone call for backup in any of the cops shows? They always seem to feel  just fine going all by themselves to face the bad guys. At least this show is a comedy. In serious dramas you even get main characters  killed because of it.
It is such a surprise when in the very rare occasion someone indeed calls for backup, that I cheer! The other day I was watching The Rookie, which is neither serious nor realistic and they indeed called for backup, like they should! I was 😮. It was a small miracle !
