I thought it was funny when the guy just slid over into the empty chair. Hank’s mother is despicable and his father too although now he’s mainly pathetic. I thought the Dickens bit was pretty ironic, but it's also hard for me to gauge how far he's aware of what's going on. Last episode he was talking *about* Hank. It was even more ironic that the cheated upon husband consoled him about the break, but, sure there was some projection there, but it doesn't seem so far that she really wants to leave Hank.
