The designers are put into teams and have 4 hours to create his and her swimwear looks.

Does Netflix not have enough money to give these poor people a reasonable amount of time to work?!  I'm not even going to critique 4 hour looks, so I will talk about something else that occurred to me: Bao really really REALLY should have applied to Making the Cut. Heidi would be totally bananas for Bao's skin-bearing cut outs and super sexy asthetic. Heidi probably has her people calling Bao's shop as we speak to order her full line in every color with extra bedazzling! 😁

Why did they make a big deal about fit in the beginning then give the designers only 4 hrs?

Not a fan of Megan's look but I thought Deontre deserved to go home. The fit on his was atrocious & the patchwork design seemed more Nigel's aesthetic than his.

Also, am I the only one surprised that Amari is still there? Her looks are poorly made & not very memorable...I still don't have a handle on her aesthetic.

I'm sad to see Megan go when she was not the worst here; I like her overall aesthetic, which is very 'Teddy Fresh' but the judges have not been fans unfortunately.

OMG that poor model kneeling next to a sewing machine, grabbing her bare breast. I had visions of a painful disaster there.

Megan's was NOT the worst by far. At least it fit. And didn't we keep hearing that fit was the most important thing?

Honestly, I hate Megan's aesthetic and was not sad to see her go. I found her portfolio shots looked more interesting and "fun" than any of the stuff she put on the runway. Just hideous. MMV and all that but I tried to like some of her stuff because she seems like a lovely young lady, or appreciate it in a "I would never wear that but I see why others would like it" way, but man, she made it hard.

I, too, hate that they have these impossible challenges with the unreasonable time constraints. Just give them a day, WTF. That's my pet peeve with reality competition shows. I get they need some way to up the pressure and the stakes but it goes too far and this was a good example. None of the looks were really that great and it was because no one had time to do something great.

Bao is now the one I'm rooting for to win. I would call constructing that swimsuit in four hours magic if I hadn't seen her working her ass off. Woman knows how to hustle. And kudos to the model for being hard core and taking all the chaos in stride.

Out of all the fashion competition shows I have seen, contestants are rarely able to make something that's flattering on a full-figured model, much less a swim suit. So the design and fit of Bao's suit were quite impressive, especially compared to what the others did in the same time frame.

The 4-hour time constraint does seem quite unreasonable for the designers, and it's challenging to critique swimwear looks created under such tight deadlines. On a different note, it's amusing to think about Bao's designs potentially fitting well on "Making the Cut" with Heidi's appreciation for skin-bearing cutouts and a sexy aesthetic.

The lack of time did affect the construction quality of most of the swimwear, making them appear rushed and ill-fitting. It's puzzling that they emphasized the importance of fit in the beginning and then only gave the designers 4 hours.

While Megan's look may not have been a favorite, the fit was better than some other designs. Deontre's fit issues and the patchwork design didn't match his own style. Amari's continued presence on the show surprised some, as her creations were poorly made and lacked a clear aesthetic.

The scene with the model kneeling next to the sewing machine was indeed a nerve-wracking moment. While Megan's look wasn't the worst, it did raise questions about the emphasis on fit.

Megan's aesthetic might not resonate with everyone, and the tight time constraints don't help in showcasing the designers' true potential. Many viewers share the sentiment that more time would lead to better results and a fairer competition.
