MissLucas January 18, 2023 Share January 18, 2023 (edited) Well, every season needs some filler material. It was nice to see an episode centered on Tech, too bad it was such a weak one. It was basically a set-up for the warning about Cid which I don't think was that necessary. If they haven't realized by now that she's not exactly trustworthy and has a fluid sense of loyalty the warning by another character of similar ilk won't have that much impact. And also I complained over and over again about Omega not having a helmet - couldn't they have come up with a cooler design? Edited January 18, 2023 by MissLucas 1 Link to comment

frenchtoast January 19, 2023 Share January 19, 2023 I hope they're not giving Tech a lot more time to just kill him off. Because that would make me very unhappy. So, we got a pod race episode. I hope all this talk about Cid not being trustworthy starts nudging them towards joining Rex or something more meaningful for them. If I'm being generous, it's a nice light episode after such a dark one. 2 Link to comment

Chyromaniac January 27, 2023 Share January 27, 2023 I heard from another fan that the show planned to highlight Tech and Echo this season. I think it’s a positive move to develop their characters, since their functions within the group somewhat overlap. This episode grew on me the more I thought about it. At first, it was just the “racing show.” And, tbh I’m getting kind of bored with Ben Schwartz’s schtick as a voice actor. I liked Dewey Duck - but I don’t need Robot Dewey, Sonic Dewey, etc…. But, I really enjoyed watching Tech as he solved the puzzle of the race over the course of the episode. Like, here we have a “no rulez anything goes extreme death race!!!” - where everyone has very set expectations for what you have to do to win. But to Tech, it’s just a race- and the only thing that really matters is crossing the finish line faster than the other racers. I love that he wins by subverting the “rules” of the anything goes contest. 1 Link to comment
