AuntieMame October 4, 2022 Share October 4, 2022 I can’t quite decide whether to be excited or nervous about this. Because I love the source material both the 1988 movie and the epistolary novel. A series that went in depth and had time to really explore the characters would be amazing. I like the idea of exploring the original romance of the Marquis de Merteuil and Valmont. The Marquis’s self-invention could be shown too. How cool would that be? However, the possibility of ruination exists too. Ah well, I’ve ignored other bad adaptations, I’m just hoping this won’t be one of them. 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/133931-dangerous-liaisons-in-the-media/#findComment-7683492

Mia is Kate Winslet's daughter so her character's name being Rose stands out as a deliberate choice. 1 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/133931-dangerous-liaisons-in-the-media/#findComment-7749816

statsgirl December 13, 2022 Share December 13, 2022 Going by the amount of posts here (minimal), I'm not surprised that it isn't getting a second season. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/133931-dangerous-liaisons-in-the-media/#findComment-7789928
Haleth December 13, 2022 Share December 13, 2022 This isn't surprising. I'm still watching but would not have bothered with a second season. The characters are too repulsive. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/133931-dangerous-liaisons-in-the-media/#findComment-7790083
CountryGirl December 20, 2022 Share December 20, 2022 I’m enjoying it. Even a bad period drama is better than none. Although I like a lot of the show. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/133931-dangerous-liaisons-in-the-media/#findComment-7798967

The characters are too repulsive. I'm not finding the stories to be very cohesive. Tony Soprano or Saul Goodman were repulsive characters, but you understood their motivations, and their actions had predictable consequences in their world. This show seems to solve every problem with blackmail. Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/133931-dangerous-liaisons-in-the-media/#findComment-7804196
AnimeMania January 3, 2023 Share January 3, 2023 (edited) ‘Dangerous Liaisons,’ ‘Becoming Elizabeth’ & ‘Step Up’ Pulled From Starz As Streaming Removals Become More Widespread If you didn't watch/record the Series or the last episode, you may be hard pressed to do so. Lionsgate attempting to split from Starz, has caused both companies to try to determine which "Titles" belong to which company, causing all kinds of problems like the cancelling of the second season and the removal of the first season of Dangerous Liaisons from the Starz. It is also causing the delay of new programming on Starz, like Heels Season 2.
