What an intense episode! But I'm really liking the show so far. Many accessible and likeable characters.

That last part was almost too suspenseful for me, knowing the children had bombs. Although weirdly, it was almost as bad when the man stepped on the woman's glasses. 😪

so much for the minefield, no one got blown up there, not the symphony, alex, the two children.

so did Javeen abandon Kirstin?  it doesn't quite seem in his nature, even if he did get frustrated with her.  what was the issue with them "waiting too long" in Frank's apartment because they stayed for her play?

All good points. I guess they followed the girl's footsteps through the minefield and didn't die? Yeah, that was weird.

I also doubt that Javeen left on purpose. It seems like he maybe left against his will, dropping the book on the way.

So the children who got lured away were convinced to become suicide bombers against maybe the only paternal figure they’d ever known?

Children can become brainwashed by cults but over time.  They were stolen maybe a week or two ago?

These little kids were ninjas, able to catch adults by surprise and pounce at the right moment.

Maybe the Prophet has more followers than they’ve shown but why steal the children to kill an old professor?  He apparently likes to kill and threaten to kill.  But why Gil, was it just killing him for the sake of killing him?

Somehow the Prophet saw the book, quoted it to Kirsten.  Yet the copy which she had hidden under Gil’s desk was still intact.

Meanwhile Alex apparently has some generational resentment against the Pre Pans, because she had never gotten the chance to play lead?  This is how the Prophet apparently brainwashes the youth or Post Pans, telling them the before times don’t matter.

That may work with a teen like Alex but the suicide bombers both looked under 10, with the one Kirsten chased being closer to 5 than 10 — how did she not outrun him?

When Miranda gave Arthur the book she gave him one for himself and one for his son. And she said there were more. So the Prophet could have had access to another copy.

Was that made explicit? If Gil and Katrina had only recently put out the landmines surely it would have been easier to see where the ground had been disturbed. And the Symphony had been avoiding them for some time.
