Vikitty November 20, 2021 Share November 20, 2021 Faye’s video always made me cry in the original series and this got me just as choked up. I really liked it. 3 Link to comment
tennisgurl November 23, 2021 Share November 23, 2021 Awww the video was still really good, that part always made me tear up in the original and it did the same thing here. Another episode based on an episode of the original but with a lot of significant changes. The main plot was mostly fun but we just keep having to cut back to Vicious and Julia over and over and its so lame. 4 Link to comment

The video never mentioned her name or showed he parents (unless I slept through it). Link to comment

They didn't explain why she was in cryo. That is the most important question you should find out when coming out of cryo. The people who put Faye in cryo should have been able to give her some information. Link to comment
Vikitty November 25, 2021 Share November 25, 2021 (edited) I can't remember if they explained it in the live action, but in the anime Spoiler she was in a really bad car accident (age 20) that killed her parents and she had to be put into cryo I guess as a sort of coma until they could find a cure. I wished they had cut the Vicious part and rehash a favourite of mine from the original: Spoiler Spike and Jet going to an underground mall on earth to look for a beta tape player to the sound of The Egg and I. That bit was funny, they really toiled to get that thing only to end up bringing a VHS player instead. 2 Link to comment
thuganomics85 November 30, 2021 Share November 30, 2021 Wasn't sure if the video idea also came from the anime, but it sounds like it was and it was pretty well done: especially Faye/Daniella Pineda's reaction to it. I figured there was going to be some kind of big twist with the main mission, but I can safely say that I didn't predict it was all an act by Whitney and Min.. sorry, Iron Mink, because they've got some kind of roleplaying fetish going on here. True love, huh? At least Faye got another ship out of it (but I imagine she's going to stick with around on the Bebop.) Definitely got a chuckle out of Jet happily watching his daughter's recital by holograph, while poor Spike was by himself against all of Iron Mink's goons. The addition of Mao/Rachel House is still making the Vicious/Julia stuff more bearable, but not by much. Even the final bit was lacking, because it's obvious that Julia's plan to actually kill Vicious will probably not work out. 3 Link to comment
