Trini May 26 Share May 26 (edited) [They did the thing! V-day!!] First two episode synopses: Quote S2 E1: More Things in Heaven and Earth Clark agonizes over what to do for his and Lois' first Valentine's Day ... until visions of his father lead him, Jimmy and Lois to the remains of his Spaceship and the new villains of Task Force X! Quote S2 E2: Adventures With My Girlfriend While Perry saddles Jimmy with a new "team" to run Flamebird, Clark and Lois investigate Stryker Penitentiary -- and discover just how far Amanda Waller will go to rid the world of Superman! (#3 and 4 are out as well, BTW.) Edited May 26 by Trini Link to comment
Galileo908 May 26 Share May 26 (edited) So good to see this show back. Of course Lois eats spicy ramen, while Clark eats it mild. I love these two dorks. STAR Labs is here! And we meet Hank. As in...Hank Henshaw? It's not gonna end well for that guy. I wish the trailers didn't spoil Supergirl showing up in this show. But we finally got Clark's origin story, aaaaand Jor-El is gone. And OH SHIT we got us the Atomic Skull. Man, Waller is just NUTS in this. And Lex Luthor finally makes his move! And Lois's dad is moving in with Clark and Jimmy? That's a sitcom waiting to happen. I'm liking the runner of Jimmy's net worth going down. On 5/8/2024 at 3:39 PM, Trini said: Ugh - Waller sucks! I'm not familiar with the villain that Superman is fighting in that clip. Yeah, that was the Atomic Skull. Apparently this is the Joseph Martin version. Who I couldn't place was the guy with the robot arms in the first episode. Was that supposed to be Blockbuster? EDIT: Apparently it's a lesser known villain named Damage. Edited May 26 by Galileo908 1 Link to comment

Trini May 26 Share May 26 (An episode thread was made for the premiere, but I don't think this forum really has the traffic for episode threads. Maybe just a topic for Season 2 discussion? And maybe we can get posts moved there?) I can only watch this when CN puts it up online, so I only have comments about episode 1. I liked it! And I really like that Clark finally got more information about his origins. Hopefully, we can see Jor-El again, somehow? I still have a lot of questions about what they've shown us so far. LOL at Jimmy's net worth counter! I think that's going to be a fun running gag. Poor Clark and everyone dunking on his Valentine's plans! But Lois didn't even remember the holiday, so it kinda worked out? Lois & Clark continue to be adorable. Ugh, great -- Waller got her hands on some Kryptonite. I hope not all the villains/threats are from Krypton/Kryptonian tech; but that does seem to be the theme. Had to look up who Hank was supposed to be; we'll see if they do anything with that. Still not sure about them introducing Kara/Supergirl ; but it does give Clark something to do besides fight bad guys. 1 Link to comment
ruby24 May 26 Share May 26 Loved these episodes! Already a step up from the first season, it feels like. I really hope the show doesn't get canceled because a Superman movie is coming out, like Superman & Lois did. It's so good, I want it to keep going. 1 Link to comment

giovannif7 May 27 Share May 27 I LOVED the deep dive when Clark said the Valentines Day poem he wrote for Lois was called Can You Read My Mind - nice callback to the first Christopher Reeve film! It was actually a spoken-word recitation by Margot (Lois) Kidder in the film, and was then recorded by 70s theme queen Maureen McGovern, whose version hit the Top 5 on the US Adult Contemporary chart... 1 Link to comment
