Yet another scathing review. I think she was expecting more raves in the press but these recaps all seem to have a similar theme. She's a megalomaniac who enjoys making others feel terrible about themselves.

I won't be surprised when Bethenny's story turns out like the ending of The Emperor's New Clothes.

Trust and believe ALL of this foolishness will make its way into an upcoming season of American Horror Story or one of Ryan Murphy's other upcoming projects. This show is like Mommy Dearest crossed with The Devil Wears Prada crossed with Saw. Like I'm sincerely shocked at how many shots in the show look like they were ripped from a horror movie--the window shots especially. And if Bethenny thinks Ryan Murphy wouldn't do that because they're kind of friendly, she doesn't know him well enough to know that Murphy is happy to lampoon things he cares a lot about and savage things he despises. 

Who was looking at these dailies and saying "This is great stuff." This shit is fucking terrible and I keep hoping that oustered contestant who worked on diversity and workplace issues just storms the set and gets everyone, including Bethenny's actual staff, to quit and the remainder of the show is Bethenny trying to film a reality TV show by herself with no staff, no contestants, and Bethenny playing all the parts while muttering "Who needs them. Who needs anyone." to herself.

Bethenny might be in a bit of a corner right now.  Under normal circumstances, Bethenny could easily shift blame for how poorly this show is playing out based on reviews (I'm not watching) except that in this case, she'd have to blame Mark Burnett and that ain't gonna fly.

I'll be curious how she handles all this in the media.  

Sidenote: I heard a podcast with Andy Cohen's assistant Daryn. At one point Bethenny showed up at their office and Bethenny declared she needed an assistant. Daryn asked how much it would pay and Bethenny just looked at her and said "I'd eat you up".  

Daryn seemed to like Bethenny and she appreciated her honesty.

Being an assistant or "intern" to any of these women would be an absolute nightmare and not worth the pittance they would likely pay.

It's stupid that reality shows even made them do that pre-pandemic.  Reality shows for businesses, or cooking, or fashion, or what have you.  Big Brother and Survivor, fine.  That's the point. The rest, no.  Like Bethenny flat out admits, it's just sadism and saving money.

She’s become a huge, narcissistic asshole. 

She used to be just a small narcissistic asshole, but now she has big money and she’s a real monster. I applaud her charitable contributions, but you’d have to be a real glutton for punishment to work for her, or even to put yourself through being on the show. She’s wrapped way, way too tight.

The best part:

When she was on The Real Housewives of New York, she could blame the bad behavior which tarnished that “authenticity” on her castmates, producer machinations, or the stress of being the world’s most successful businesswoman. But The Big Shot was entirely her design. There’s no perfume strong enough to mask the smell of this steaming load of shit she sold everyone on as part of a multi-year deal to produce this and more shows like it.

Maybe this is the beginning of Bethenny Frankel being canceled. I noticed that people on Milokksy's instagram are asking her about the new "job".

Her response:

"Apologies, not trying to avoid your questions. We are under strict contracts and aren’t allowed to speak about the job or anything other than what’s on the show."

Everything about BF is just so sketchy. Now she is coming out with a swimsuit line and some kind of cherry beverage. Haven't heard another word about her Forever Young wine since it was revealed that it's not even her product. She throws shit out there and then retreats back into showing her fans how to put avocado on a bagel on her instastories. 

I think the Big Shot was the Last Shot for Bethenny. Likely she lost a lot of her own money on it and she's not pulling in her Bravo paycheck anymore. She seems to make  very poor investments based on her huge ego telling herself and the world that she knows everything about everything.

You really described it all so well. Like many before her, she may likely be the instrument of her own destruction.

I’ve been rewatching from RHONY from the beginning and just finished the St. Bart’s episodes from Season 7.

Bethenny was still then very funny and non mean in her interactions and her talking heads, but her arrogance and self importance was starting to get out of control (after a failed talk show…)

I loved the original Bethenny and Carole because they were smart, witty and did not take themselves seriously. But in their last seasons they were so mean and toxic.
