I think I remember her saying she went for two years. I also got the impression she didn’t finish her term in the military after she said she’d “never been out of the country” before when they were in Mexico. I just can’t imagine a tank mechanic wouldn’t be deployed overseas at least once in 4 years? 

I haven’t warmed up to Amber at all. I can only hope that Barnett runs for the hills. She is psychologically not in a good place, cannot support herself (and isn’t at all interested in doing so), doesn’t care about the huge debt she has and seemed kind of proud that she hadn’t paid 1c back yet. She isn’t completely fake, pretending to be this badass strong woman and she has no clue who she is or what she wants.
