I'm no prude but the over top sex scenes was a bit much.The new characters definitely needed to be developed and fleshed out more.

I didn't mind the new characters but I hated how they weren't developed at all.Patrick especially was disappointing.Here is s guy that witnessed his mom death and was in the same accident and his father seems to straight up ignores him.They would rather show him get naked and have threesomes in most of his scenes.Maybe its because manu Rios was already an internet sensation before He was hired for elite.
Guzman was such an ass and they seemed to have forgotten his and anders friendship until the very end.
Also rebe and meenca relationship was treated badly in compassion to the guys they had tons of sex scenes while the girls could barely kiss before some drama comes up.

I like a lot of these spoilers Kristen works so much better as a villain honestly.

So is BL going to use the baby to get ELQ back from Valentin. Michael refused to use Wylie to do it and we know that on this show the men usually come out smelling like roses while the women who aren't Carly and Joss tend to stink like a landfill.
I'm sure she is but its a total quartermaine thing to do.

Didn't think this show would do another baby switch story so soon after Wiley but it looks to heading that way Brooke looks further along than maxie does at this point.

I honestly barely remember it. We fast forwarded a bunch, like anything pertaining to Ciara and Ben.
The Sami/Lucas scenes were SO good. I just love them together and Lucas in general.
Claire's outfit is so fucking ridiculous. COME ON!
I actually thought that other than the Ben and ciara stuff the show was decent although rafe annoyed me and I don't hate him as much as the rest of you do.

Unpopular opinion I felt a little bad for Debbie.She shouldn't put her issues with her mom on sandy though but she needs therapy to deal with her abandonment issues.
Lip was really annoying this episode.

Been watching these episodes and it's weird how the reboot has this school has the richest school because in these episodes the school never had any money for anything they couldn't even have a real senior prom lol.

Why are they acting like wayside was Beverly hills 90210 in the original they only one that seemed rich was Lisa and even that wasn't really focused on.Kelly was poor and although Zack and Jessie seemed comfortable Zack spent most of his time scheming to become rich with his money making schemes.
In the original the actors where teens it's pretty obvious these actors are not teens they look like there in there 20s.
Also the way they rush these relationships is dumb it took Zack and Kelly a season and half to actually get together.
I didn't think the pilot was that bad but I find daisy the most annoying actually she comes across as a Mary sue.I liked aisha and devante better.

It's crazy and sad that there's not any gay characters in any stories on the U.S. soaps.
Meanwhile over on hollyoaks there LGBT characters are usually the ones that get the meatiest and most dramtic storylines.

Why is it that writers on this show have no respect for the writers that came before them ?
If I was headwriter ,i would respect J.Reilly's decision to make Mimi Sterile after her abortion . I would respect Harper being made sterile . I would respect the writers who SORAS'd Belle ,Shawn and Philip and adjusted their year of birth to 2004 and not force SORAS Claire to be an adult when the math age of her and her parents clearly doesnt allow this . That is why Abby wasnt SORASd when Brady got SORAS'd because Jen herself was 31 years old since she got SORASd and had her year of birth to 1970 . It would have been nonsensical for a 31 year old woman to have a teen close to adulthood . Atleast John's age allowed for Belle and Brady to be succesfully SORASd.
Even if I didnt like some of his decisions. Some things you can change sure but major stuff like Mimi being sterile as well as Harper Devereaux's sterility simply should be left alone because they played major parts in their character development .
Ultimately this rotten attitude is the fault of Ken Corday and its a damning indictment of his horrible leadership skills afterall he enables this sort of behaviour.
to be fair most women who are sterile on soaps end up having a miracle pregnancies there's very few that I can think of that didn't have miracle pregnancy.

I have to admit I was surprised at well they did the Allie scenes to days talking about consent I still don't trust RC not to make a mockery out of it though.
I still feel like Tripp is acting weird but that could be a red herring too.

Vincent is allowed to grieve and lose his shit too even though he is not a main character. Marlena's fan girling over Ben is the worst.
I don't like Ben and the marlena and Ben stuff is ridiculous but so is the Maggie and xander realtionship I still don't get why xander and Victor weren't even questioned for the baby switch crime.

So...about Gwen...I remember a rumor from way back around the start of the year that they were looking to cast a British actress to play EJ's sister. We ended up getting Gwen and she was promptly tied into the Stefan story, and now they've pivoted away from Chad drugging Abigail to Gwen drugging Abigail even though it contradicts established continuity, and with them keeping the secret of her reasons under wraps...I can't help but think they're going to go back and say that she is really EJ's sister.
I wouldn't be surprised if they go and recast EJ and bring him on for next year and Sami's extended stay. It's always been Sami's excuse that she has to go back "to take care of EJ", and he's been in recovery now for several years. If she comes back to Salem for 12 months, it'll be kind of impossible to stretch believability that she's completely abandoned her beloved husband for all that time.
They should let him die...but they won't. There's been too much effort put into keeping him alive - from Kristen injecting his body in the morgue, to the stand-in at the factory - for them to throw in the towel, admit defeat and erase him....even though I don't think there's much fan support anymore for Sami and EJ as a couple, since everyone knows James Scott is not returning.
But if there's a sister...? Well then, suddenly you have another section of the DiMera family tree. I really hope I'm wrong, and I really hope there's some other reason why Gwen is pissed off with Abigail. Even if she is EJ's sister, what would be her excuse for poisoning Abigail? The fact that Abigail had an affair with EJ? Who the hell cares! It's not like anything major happened during that affair that derailed EJ's life in a lasting way. He was shot by Clyde and his thugs for reasons having nothing to do with cheating on Sami. But Ron likes to mine history and Ron likes to bring characters back from the dead and Ron likes to introduce new siblings and children, so I could see this being his ultimate plan.
Tell me I'm wrong though.
Doesn't that mean she slept with her brother jake?

2 incidents I remember from the show where I thought Kate was unfair to Colin. They weren’t abusive, but the first seemed unnecessarily harsh and the second just made me feel badly for him. I’m sure there are other examples but these are the 2 that I remember:
First, when Colin was around 3 and got gum on his teddy bear and she yelled at him and threatened to throw the bear away and Maddie stepped in to defend him. I’m not describing it well, but I remember him being very distressed.
Second, it was Kate’s birthday and they were on some sort of trip. Kate gave each child money to buy her a small gift. Colin really liked a small figurine, I think of an animal, but it cost more than he had. He was so sweet that the shop owner gave it to him for a lower price. He was so proud to give it to Kate, but I remember she was very dismissive of the gift, even though she gushed over all the other kid’s presents.
I also remember her treating Alexis worse than Leah and Hannah. I think things probably improved for Alexis when Hannah left, at least I hope Alexis stopped being the scapegoat when Hannah fell out of favor with Kate.
It’s interesting to me that Colin and Alexis had behavioral problems at school when they were young. Did they develop problems because they were Kate’s scapegoats, or were they more difficult children which caused Kate to dislike them more than the others?Wasn't there an episode where Kate said something nice about all of her kids but couldn't think of anything nice to say about Collin

The British soaps do these type of consent stories all the time but they do it with sensitivity and usually the women get justice but days tends to make a mockery out of rape stories.

IA the place that he was at also has had horrible reviews from I've read they talk about how abusive the staff is to the patients ect I think it would be unrealistic if the kid didn't have issues

i could also see Ron going the route that Allie doesn't know about the EJ rape, and she and Sami start to grow closer and mend their relationship (possibly after Sami shares the Alan story). Then, Allie subsequently finds out about the EJ rape and is horrified and disgusted, and the Sami/Allie rift grows even bigger because Allie cannot even comprehend how Sami could marry her rapist.
I could be totally wrong but I always got the impression that Allie and Johnny didn't know about EJ raping her and I don't think Sami would want Johnny to know he's a product of rape.I feel like Sami being raped by Alan would come up before the stuff with EJ does.
