  1. That is so true about the older parishioners. That is my generation and I speak as a member at an Episcopal Church. It is really interesting to see you stays and who goes. All the "Christians" who love one another in theory, so not always keep that tenet of the church when it becomes a sanctuary for the different from them people. I had no problem with it and made a bunch of new friends I would never have even met before. I think she could be happier in the Episcopal church if that is what she wants. I honestly wonder if it not something she really wants. She has a freedom now that she enjoys.
  2. Thank you for correcting the RAY. I knew it sounded "off" when I typed it, and about the middle of the night I thought of it. I just loved all the seasons of The Closer. Every actor was perfect.
  3. Always a big fan of Rob Lowe and I am realllly OLD ….. However, seeing him with a Yorkie, my favorite breed, is just wonderful. I assume you are referring to "Willie May Johnson" his wife on The Closer. He and Frances Sternhaggen were perfect together. I would love to see her again.
  4. Rent or Buy? I really don't care. What I would like to know is WHERE the money is coming from to do either? I would be a basket case if I were in their situation, with the likes of Kody in charge. I doubt that TLC money will be their free pass from bankruptcy
  5. That is a big possibility. Never thought of that. Put on your seat belt, show just started
  6. Really? Apparently Mary's landlord had no clue
  7. Puffy - done to death. I never want to see it again
  8. Loved the chartreuse, hot pink and purple colors. #28 thru #31, I believe were my favorites. 99% were just beautiful. The black and grays at the end I was not crazy about, but they were uniquely designed and over the top. Good work Christian. Thank you Blackberryjam for sharing these pics.
  9. Could it be because we are all sick of the news, weather traumas for the whole nation and politics? And now a virus?
  10. Well Meri could not possibly be regulated to the BASEMENT apartment, with her one kid to make it easier for the one woman who took care of the entire tribe. Also, she would have to listen to the stomping and banging of the one apartment over her head. Poor thing, my great Aunt Fanny (that's an old slogan, comparable to "Bless her heart").
  11. I stand corrected. However, that boggles my mind, as with a 2 day challenge, Geoffrey had time to do more with the bottom of his outfit … those granny pants ruined the whole thing IMO. Perhaps if they had been a little longer and gold, instead of silver, it would have been more cohesive and make a better presentation. I am more of a matchy matchy type of person, as it would make this outfit look like it was made on purpose. Sorry, I have no right to find fault with any of them as I could not do any better, and probably worse LOL
  12. While I agree that one day was not enough for this kind of challenge, I still think they were all subpar …….and the sample above is absolutely impossible to live up to in one day. That was so gorgeous that it became an iconic look. They had fun, and hard work, and were rewarded with something super special. Even something I liked on this runway had issues about a part of their design, one way or another
  13. Bless you! I wrote this reply once but lost it in the shuffle. I was pretty close, wasn't I? My beloved dog was named "Gillian". I should be ashamed. My Old Timer's Disease is getting scarier and scarier LOL
  14. Oh Bless you...….I was so close. My beloved dog was named Gillian ---- I should have remembered for sure. My Old Timer's Disease is getting scary.
  15. Hated the pants on Geoffrey's, but loved the rest. Everything about Victoria is forgettable, except her hair and her spoiled brat attitude. This outfit wasn't too bad, better than most of her trashy style. She can dress herself in a variety of styles, why can't she do the same for her models? Sergio's was interesting and Nancy's was okay with me, might have liked it better in another color? Marquise was different. I liked it. Would like to see a whole group of his against a couple of the others. Sorry he did not make it to the final. I think he has good days and bad days, like all of us. Same for Geoffrey. Brittany - not sorry to see you go. I have no idea why Christian and the judge think she has potential. A couple were okay, but not consistently.
  16. Honestly, avant garde of most of these people was just boring and not worth it, particularly for any loyal followers of Project Runway. My favorite was a young woman who made it to the finals, as I recall, wish I could remember her name...….she made an outfit of black and gold and the jacket was just magnificent, her inspiration was a painting at the Museum of Fine Art of a soldier on a horse. I could not get over how talented she was during the whole season. I will remember her name later, of course. I want to say "Jill"? It was the same year Chris and Christian made that gorgeous beige dress with the 200 yards of tulle and the huge collar/shoulder that extended over the models head or something. So beautiful.
  17. That was very interesting reading. Imagine if one of your relatives had one of the originals.
  18. That was nice of you to do all that research for us. Very interesting. I hope all your required reading is for pleasure (book club etc.), not work or school. I really want to see a second season and a couple of people upthread have given some good ideas for an ending or two. I like the ones that recommended Young Stringer and Charlotte get together and go to the USA after his work in London. Then that churlish Sidney can take his great looks and go back to his girlfriend who tossed him over for money. I don't care what the rules were then about marrying for money, property and position, it is hard to accept from this day and age look back. I do admire Sidney, I guess, for sticking by his family, particularly his horrible businessman brother, as that could be admirable, as they have helped his other. But his debt is paid to his brother now AND it is just throwing good money after bad after this.
  19. I just started watching Netflix design show and the talent is so much better, but they are also more experienced in their careers I believe. I wish they would show longer looks at their runways and drop all the frantic camera moves. I am exhausted at the end of an episode.
  20. Maybe because she did it when he left before? Just a thought
  21. Thanks for doing the homework so I could see these beautiful garments.
  22. I thought I heard that also. Even if true, which it is not, it is a bitch comment to make.
  23. From your mouth to God's ears!!!!
  24. So interesting! You were not kidding when you said it was by Jane Austen and ANOTHER LADY. What a hoot. Wonder what date it was published and who the other lady (or man) could have been, Mystery for sure . Thanks for the update
  25. Ending was different, you say. Did you like it? The Book and the Ending? What is the name of that book and author, if known. Thank you
