  1. Andi may have felt more for Josh and ultimately chose him but unless she's just THAT good of an actress, girl was pretty hot for Nick too imo.

I don’t think there is any doubt that Andi has the hots for Nick.  After all, he received the first impression rose and is in the F2.  The question is why?  He is not what most people would consider “classically handsome”, he doesn’t come across as especially witty or intelligent and he doesn’t appear to be wealthy.  I was shocked when he received the first impression rose, because I had him pegged for going home the first night.  Given what she had to work with, I am scratching my head.   There is no accounting for taste.  Fragile, emotional Marcus and kind, sensitive Chris would have been my F2.   I believe they are the only two guys in group that are honestly ready to settle down.

  2. I don't believe for one second that Chris loved Andi. He took that rejection way too casually. He seems like a disingenuous liar to me.

Given the premise of the show, I think it is a bit harsh to call Chris a disingenuous liar.  If that were the case then that label would apply to every Lead and all the contestants.  I was rather relieve that he didn’t sob uncontrollably over a woman he’d known for two weeks and with whom he’d probably spent a total of eight to ten hours.

That, like, was like the lamest fantasy suite week that, like, I've ever seen.  I mean, it was like, really boring.

In my opinion this whole season was lame and boring.  I found the foreign locales uninteresting.  There wasn’t one place they visited that I would put on my Bucket List.  I have a feeling they spent most of the franchise’s budget on Bachelor Paradise.

  3. That bubble they live in is tough to break out of.

One of the main reasons why most of these relationships fail is because once they are out of the bachelor/ette bubble, they come to their "senses".   A lot of contestants admitted they got caught up in the whole fantasy.

  4. When we were given Jamie’s back story on the Bachelor (Ben Flajnik’s season), she was one of my early favorites.  I liked that she took responsibility for her siblings when her mom became incapable and also that she became a nurse because she likes helping others.  However, after getting to know her on the show, two things became increasingly clear – she is socially awkward and has very low self esteem.  Given that she is only 27 years old, I don’t get why she is in such a hurry to wed.  I wish Jamie could see that she is very attractive and any guy would be lucky to have her.

  5. I haven't watched every season, only two or three contestants did not have their family on the hometown dates. Melissa Rycroft's family wouldn't appear on the show and on Jen Scheft's season, the guy she chose at the end had her meet his brother only. I don't know of any others.

A long list of contestants took the bachelor/ette to meet friends instead of family.  Jen Schefft met Jerry’s entire family.  I remember this well, because his mother is hearing-impaired and only communicates through sign language.  They were decidedly lower middle class, and after hanging with the wealthy Firestones, Princess Jen of Cleveland, seemed uncomfortable and couldn't wait to hightail it out of there.  To this day, I honestly believe the main reason she rejected Jerry’s proposal was because of his socioeconomic status.

  6. So what in the hell is wrong with Robyn lately?

Let's see.  She realizes the other wives and teenagers hate her; the honeymoon with Kody is probably over, and she is no longer being treated like a special snow flake. Plus, it doesn't seem as if she and Meri are as close as they once were.

  7. Chris’ family was my favorite.  His mom reminds me of actress Debra Monk.  They came across as down to earth, good people.  Andi seemed the most relaxed and comfortable with them, which didn't surprise me because Chris seems like a mellow, easy going guy.  Josh’s family appears to be very close-knit.  They didn’t seem interested in or impressed with Andi.  Maybe it was because they had other things on their minds.  Marcus is so much fun to look at, but he seems sad.  I don’t particularly care for Nick, but of the remaining three guys, I think he is the best fit for her.

  8. While whoever called the child "stupid" was out of line, it really shouldn't have escalated the way it did.  Call the kid on it, make him apologize, and move on.

That was Janelle’s son Garrison.  Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.  All he said was, “Ysabel, stop acting stupid." That was it.  Everyone jumped on the poor kid and made him apologize to Ysabel and Christine.  I think they are extremely hard on Kody’s sons (especially Janelle's), but seem to cuddle Dayton.  I wasn’t surprised that Janelle and Christine stayed in the RVs with their kids, while Queen Mary, Princess Robyn and Solomon the anointed son got to sleep in comfort.

  9. But Chris is, of course, there for the right reasons, so it's OK.

    .

I have a feeling Chris was just responding to a question.  And if you notice, when they are having their whine fest, a camera crew just happens to be present.  Let’s face it, this has been a rather boring, lack luster season.  There is no Graham, Bentley or Brooks to break the Bachelorette’s heart, and no Arie to swoon over. The only thing they have is whether or not Nick is there for the right reason.  Who cares?  It reminds me of Sean’s boring season, where they had to hide the fact that he was only interested in whats-her-face, so for drama, they pitted all the ladies against I think it was Chiera (can’t remember her name).

  10. I really like Chris, so I don’t want to see him as the next Bachelor, especially after what happened with one of my other favorites - Jake.  I hope he takes the same route as sweet, Chris Lambton, and find a nice girl on his own, even if she is a former contestant.

  11. Chris is my favorite but living on a farm in the Mid-West would be a hard sell. The closest I've come to animals is rush hour on the New York City Subway and at the Bronx Zoo. Marcus is hot as heck, but he seems to have emotional issues. Josh's family doesn't appear  taken with Andi.  Nick is probably the best choice.

  12. It's one thing to wait to have sex, but how many teenage boys are going to wait for marriage to kiss???

Perhaps a teenage boy or a young man, who is courting a Duggar girl.  Sorry couldn’t resist.  I think Janelle is being too hard on her self.  Losing 25 pounds in a year is quite an accomplishment, because a lot of people can’t even lose ten.  Logan, Maddie, Aspyn and Mykelti seem to have grown into wonderful young people.  Their parents should be proud.

  13. I found some of the polygraph questions rather intrusive.  I think asking, “How many women have you slept with?” was really out of line.  There would be an outcry if the ladies on the Bachelor were asked how many men they’d slept with.  It appears as if receiving the first impression rose went to Nick’s head, because he seems to think he has this thing in the bag.  If I were in Andi’s position, Chris and Marcus would be F2.

  14. Every season, there is the inevitable complaint that "he/she is not here for the right reason".  I’ve taken that to mean that the person being accused has an ulterior motive for being on the show.  As in, he/she isn't really here to try and fall in love with the Bachelor/ette, but signed on with hopes of:
    -Free all inclusive vacations/trips
    -Be the next Bachelor/ette
-Expanded dating pool after the show
    -Local celebrity
-Start or advance show biz career

    -Free publicity for personal business
And, what seems to works for countless ladies on the Bachelor, “force boyfriend to make a commitment.”  That is what I think someone “not being there for the right reason” means.

  15. I am confused, because I read that they had a bbq buffet.   I am blanking on where I saw this, but the article states they had a reception and social media was banned. Most likely they are saving the footage for the show.  In the meantime, People magazine reported, “the couple's reception came together thanks to a massive amount of volunteers, who made more than 600 cupcakes, 3,000 chocolate chip cookies and 3,000 root beer floats."   I have a feeling the desserts were for the 1,000 (uninvited) guests that showed up at the church.  They probably put the word out that if you wanted to attend, you should bring a dessert.

  16. A lot of perfect strangers are going to send them gifts, so they might as well tell them what they really want.  I am willing to bet that they’ve already received a ton of stuff.  The irony is that most of these gifts are from folks that are in a lower socioeconomic bracket.

  17. Marquel as next Bachelor!!!! I find him incredibly engaging, smart, handsome, and fun to watch.

When it comes to the Bachelor, sometimes, we have to be careful what we wish for;  Bob, Jason, Jake and Juan Pablo are perfect examples. I am having a hard time understanding why a handsome, charming and seemingly nice guy like Marquel is having problems meeting someone special, when men that are incarcerated do not.

  18. I think most people have a "type", it's just that they might not be consciously aware that they do.  I like good looking men.  Give me Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, Patrick Dempsey, Kyle Chandler and Jon Hamm.  The problem I am having with Andi is that she specifically said that athletes are her achilles heel, and yet, here she is falling for Josh.

  19. Also JP tweeted that he just didn't see the Nick is arrogant thing when all the night drama was happening.

I find this interesting because in numerous interviews, Juan Pablo made a point of saying he wasn't goint to watch Andi's season.

  20. I was impressed with the way Marquel handled the situation with Andrew. However, I felt he should have spoken to him in private.   It makes me extremely uncomfortable when someone is accused of being a racist, homophobe, bigot or bully without tangible evidence.

  21. Why is Mariah not at college? Why is she in the interviews on the show, while Logan and Aspyn have disappeared to college?

I have a feeling it is because she attends a $28,000 a year private school and the show pays her whenever she appears on camera.
