Can I please complain about Esme? Is anyone else disappointed w/the direction of this story? I do not have a problem w/bad or gray characters. Heck, those kind of characters are my favorite. I loved Todd Manning. I loved Franco. Britt has always been a fave, and y'all know I have always loved Brad. I love a "bad" character, but I hate the direction they've taken Esme. I hate that she has a connection to Ryan and not Ava directly, which could have been more interesting. I hate that Ryan is obsessed w/breaking up Nava and being w/Ava. I hate the idea of Esme seducing Nikolas (or faking like she did). I just hate the idea of all of it and have no interest in seeing any of that play out. None of that is what I wanted or hoped to see w/the character. IMO, the teen group needed some stirring up so I was happy for a "bad girl" to join the group, but I can tell Esme is not "normal bad;" she is "whacky bad," and we just got that w/Nelle. Did we need to see that again? And why are they making Spencer stupid w/r/t his girlfriend?!? He thought it was Cameron and not his girlfriend who willingly torched a car and left a mother her dead daughter's badge to taunt her?!?! Huh?! The first part of those scenes made no sense. I missed the second half of the show but know Spencer apologized to Cameron, but I'm still trying to figure out why he thought Cameron would do that in the first place. Anyway, I was hoping Esme would stick around. The actress is good and she was giving the teen group the boost of energy it ended, but I have a feeling she will go the way of Nelle and Peter. I wish they had thought of a better story for her.

I think Jake is just a moody teen. As a child, he was fine going to counseling, but now's he 14/15, and he is moody and disagreeable. Now that Liz is focused on him though, I'm thinking he isn't the one. LOL! I keep changing my mind but Jake would be a good candidate. I thought both moms (Carly and Liz) did a good job w/their kids. I'm also glad they pointed out the double standard b/c that is true to life. I am also looking forward (for once) to Carly's scenes w/Esme next week. So, Esme's goal is to break up Nava, right? I don't think Spencer is right path to achieve that goal but I don't quite understand Esme or what Ryan expects her to do. I also finally saw the Esme/Ryan scenes and agree w/y'all about the creepy factor to them. I thought Ryan was her dad but after those scenes, I don't think she is. She just said he liked when she called him "Daddy," right? Ugh . . . it was weird! Whatever they are planning, I hope it fails! I love Nava and want them together! JS is so attractive! That was a nice-looking montage that highlighted how attractive he is no matter if he has a beard or is clean-shaven! Anyway, I might be okay with Chalynn. Admittedly, I wasn't paying too much attn to them these past few months so the FB/montage was helpful. LOL!

Esme, Esme, Esme. I really like the actress and am completely fine w/the character sowing discord among the teens. I just wish we knew her endgame. At this point it seems she wants to hurt Trina b/c Spencer is close to Trina. Ok. Her issue should be w/Spencer, not Trina. He's her boyfriend, not Trina. He's the one who came to town under false pretenses, not Trina. That aside, Esme has continued to try to buddy up to Cam/Joss/Trina. Why? Because they are Spencer's friends? They don't like her but she still insists on faking like she wants to be friends w/them. I don't get it. I just want them to flesh out Esme already. Who are her birth parents? What is the reason behind all her craziness? This has been dragging out forever, IMO. --- OK. I was typing while watching. Maybe we're finally progressing this story tomorrow. It's about freaking time. I'm still not going to understand how Trina is going to be blamed for this. It really makes no sense. Trina was completely out of it. Why would she set up a camera to record Joss/Cam having sex? And why would she release it weeks later? It is totally out of her character as Spencer said. They will have to do a lot of mental gymnastics to believe Trina did this to them.

Yeah . . . but that headstone was in a completely different section!! It wasn't close to Courtney's grave! What kind of massive cemetery is this? Huge plots of land for ONE body?! I've never seen that in real life. Oh, and why was her partner Mark buried in PC?!?! Wasn't she working outside of PC when he died? This was the guy Cyrus killed right? That was weird but I wasn't paying that close attn.

Go Trina according to the previews!! Tomorrow should be good! So, I really enjoyed the teens today. They, again, were the highlight of the show for me. I also liked how the professor addressed the issue with Cam and Josslyn. She said Bryan would be disciplined and advised them to take better care w/their personal, intimate videos. That seemed really realistic. I hate Josslyn on most (almost all) days but enjoyed her today! She seems to know it was Esme so I think Esme's plan to blame Trina isn't going to work, which is good. If Josslyn honestly believes Trina did this and not Esme, she's a moron. I was not looking forward to that b/c it's so utterly stupid. I'm happy it appears we are NOT going down that road. I guess we'll see for sure tomorrow. I also liked what Trina said to Spencer about being a brat and not simply waiting to put flowers on his mother's grave. Spencer acts so privileged all the time. It's ridiculous. Did anyone else find it strange that there are no other headstones on that plot? Is it a Cassadine plot? Why is Courtney not in that Corinthos crypt? It just seemed weird - hers being the only grave there. I know many didn't like Friz, but as a fan, I thought the writers did a great job of building them up. We saw a friendship develop and then the romantic feelings. I'm just not feeling the same about Fiz. I don't know what it is. Both are good actors, but I'm so blah about them as a couple. They just don't do anything for me. The writing hasn't been as good for them as it was for Friz, IMO. If it's working for others, that's great; it is not working for me at all. I felt it was too soon and also not featured enough. Portia and Curtis continue to bore me. Like Fiz, I'm really blah/meh on their pairing. I wish the writers spent as much time on these other pairings as they do w/every single aspect of CarSon's married, and now divorced, life. Dang! Did we really need their stupid scenes today? Am I the only one who saw some sparks w/Sonny and nuJordan? I am. Okay. That's fine. :) I guess Brando is in for a surprise! Poor Brando. I understand why they took Sasha down this road - relapse is common w/addiction - but I'm not happy about it. I also don't know why their baby couldn't live. In all the pointless babies born (ie., Wiley, Donna, Avery, Bailey, James), why did theirs have to die?

Now, that is the type of drama we should be getting on a regular basis. The last few minutes of the show were gold! I agree with @ffwbe about the teens being the best part of the show today. NC is a really good actor. I hated Courtney but did feel bad for him today. I liked that the show addressed his claim about putting flowers on her grave every year b/c right after he said he did, I wondering about his time at boarding school. Anyway . . . that was a good scene. Esme, Spencer, and the guard did a good job! The guard was ready to pounce, which I liked. I loved the Trina/Joss/Cam scene too. Trina has every right to be angry w/Josslyn. Trina doesn't want to be dragged into Josslyn's neverending conflict w/Esme. And Josslyn wasn't defending Trina. She was using Trina to make Esme feel bad! That's not cool, and she did break Trina's confidence. Josslyn is wrong. Sonny is such an ass! I really wish Nikolas had said more to him. How dare he say anything to Nikolas about infidelity or his parenting skills?!?! Nikolas could have been much more rude to him! Sonny makes me sick! I feel like the writers have finally realized how isolated they've made Carly, which is why she is interacting w/so many ppl nowadays. It's funny - when SB left a few years ago, it really opened Sam's world, and now Carly's world has opened. She's speaking to more ppl than she usually does. She was even civil to Nikolas unlike her ex. Interesting. Now, y'all know Carly is primarily automatic mute material, but I caught a few lines and it seemed she was discussing Drew w/Sam. Did I get that right? And if I did, why would she talk about whatever feelings she's developing for Drew w/Sam?!? That's so weird to me, esp. since I do not consider Sam and Carly friends. I'm neutral on Sasha's plot. I guess I need to see how it plays out before I judge but I guess it gives Sasha and Brando something to do. I don't mind them like some. I think they're a cute pairing.

Yes! In my jurisdiction, there would be a hearing, confirming the divorce. Mailing paperwork is not filing paperwork in my jurisdiction. But even if there was no hearing scheduled, I would think the judge would mail the parties a court order finalizing the divorce!

Why is Sam such a bitch? Why does she ALWAYS have an attitude? She has permanent bitch face. I know she doesn't trust Betsy but there was no reason to be so openly rude and hostile toward her, esp if the goal was to get her to open up. It reminds me of how she acted when she thought Brad (and then Lucas) stole that dragon statue/carving from her place. Ugh . . . she really makes me sick. Why was she even there? I was happy Betsy declined the ride. Why would she want to be in a car w/a judgmental, rude uber bitch?!?! As a family attorney, I just can't w/these divorce papers. I wasn't able to see the entire show today, but didn't Curtis wonder why he never got a response from the court re: the papers?!? Did he really think all he needed to do was mail the papers and that was it? No court hearing? No follow up court order dissolving the marriage? I saw Stella remembering the papers, and I wonder if Curtis assumes he and Jordan are divorced. That's just lame. Curtis should be smarter than that! But what is the point of this story? Is Jordan NOT gonna sign the papers now? I need to go back and see the Austin/Maxie scenes. IMO, RoHo has chemistry w/everyone so I see chemistry w/him and Maxie but I was hoping they would go w/Austin and Britt. Anyway, I didn't see all their scenes today, but I hate that Austin apologized yesterday for endangering Bailey when he did no such thing! All Austin did was answer a question. How was he to know what Victor knew?!?! Come on! I know they're moving on from that but it still bugs me that the show was acting like he was to blame yesterday.

I honestly forgot she was in nursing school!! 🤣🤣🤣 She and Michael are automatic mute material for me. I was wondering why they were at the hospital! Hahaha! She should be in scrubs more often.

The most famous real life case of Munchausen I’ve heard about is Gypsy Rose Blanchard. She got her boyfriend to kill her mom! And I’ve read of a few other cases. ETA: I remember when Franco painted that picture. I always wondered why they didn’t a prof’l artist to paint it! 🤣

I just can't w/Carly. I had to mute her today. "How did my marriage end?" Witch, are you seriously asking?!?!?! YOU DIDN'T WANT THE MARRIAGE, AND THAT'S WHY IT ENDED! Sonny was there, begging you to work on it w/him but you wanted to "think" and hate Nina more than love your husband! Why are you confused? I muted her after that lame comment. And just no to her girl's night out w/her forced, fake friends! There is no world where I will ever believe Sam and Carly are friends. Olivia maybe but Sam . . . heck no! And my head hurts from the giant anvils they kept dropping w/r/t Nina and Willow. I muted that nonsense too. This story re: Nina's child has been dragged out for YEARS. Years!! It was clearly Willow, and then not and now we're back to Willow being her daughter or a twin. I'm just done. No one cares who Nina's child is! I don't care if Willow and Nina bond. I don't care if they hate each other forever. I don't care if their bonding breaks up Millow. I hate Willow and don't care anything about her or her relationships w/anyone. I cared about this particular story when MS was in the role. She's not so my interest is completely gone. As someone who was bitterly disappointed w/the ending of the Chase/Michael/Willow arc, imagine my surprise when Chase went off on Michael. I loved that brief moment! It was great!! But they ruined it all by having Chase back off and be more friendly w/Michael. Argh! I guess I was foolish to think they would let someone be angry w/the golden child! This show sucks! Michael was never Chase's friend since he always wanted Chase's girlfriend. I don't want to see those two as friends. Chase and Brando can be friends. Michael can be friends w/his mommy! I still think Jake is doing this. Betsy is too obvious. For me, this is one of the more interesting stories on the show.

No worries @Daisy! Thanks for doing these recaps. They are very much appreciated. I enjoyed the way Sonny handled Carly. Carly could have called him and told him that information about Peter. There was no real reason to go to his home. I also agree that she wanted to be divorced from him, so she should shut up. She knew it was a good possibility he would hook up w/Nina so why is she acting shocked and surprised? She practically gift wrapped her husband and handed him to Nina w/all her OTT dramatics and hurt feelings. And let's be real - if Jason were alive and willing, I'm sure she would be hooking up w/him. Carly can just shut up. I was happy Sonny signed the papers. We can close this chapter of CarSon! Thank goodness. Drew . . . ugh! Why does he care about Carly? Ugh . . . . I just can't w/this Carly-loving version of Drew. Such a waste. I know many hated him, but Drew should be connecting w/Liz, not Carly. Liz and Franco were his friends! Honestly, he should have gone after Peter for Franco NOT Maxie. I hate all these fake connections they've given him. CM is doing a good job (I know him mostly from Hallmark Christmas flicks), but I hate the direction they've taken Drew. I hate his Carly love. He may as well not even be on the show, IMO. I muted all of Alexis/Diane/Harmony/Sean/TJ. I don't care about Willow's birth certificate. I did see the look Harmony gave Nina - further confirming Nina is Willow's mother. Just ugh . . . to all of that. I can't remember any other arcs today. Oh yeah . . . the Chase/Finn scenes were fine. I still think Jake is the culprit. Betsy would be too obvious, right?

These set ups are so contrived and lame at times. As you said, Carly could call him or text him! Oh no . . . she has to go and see him in person (w/Drew tagging along like a loser) so she can see Nina at Sonny's place. Why? She wanted to be divorced so she shouldn't care what Sonny does. @ffwbe - Not sure how to quote when editing, but I think Drew's story was suppose to involve Hayden at some point. There was really no other reason for Sean's "Justice for Hayden" nonsense. They resurrected that story from the dead, retconned it, and then just dropped it. I think they were hoping to capture that AMC magic w/Drew and Hayden. I didn't watch AMC but do know all about Ryan/Greenlee. But I could be wrong. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I do think they are wasting him by making him Carly's lapdog. I feel bad for CM. I was enjoying his Drew in Greece but now . . . ugh. I just hate seeing Drew interact w/the Corinthos clan. They literally wrote him off when they learned he wasn't Jason. It's all so fake and forced!

She's been better dressed for the past couple of episodes. I noticed her blazer was a much lighter material a couple of days back. Sadly, I think the actress has lost some weight so wardrobe is doing a bit better in the fashion dept. She shouldn't have needed to lose weight for them to ditch the blazers but . . . . .

I still don't trust Peter's death. Didn't Anna leave his "dead" body by itself? I'm also working so maybe I missed when the WSB came to collect it?! LOL! I hope he's dead of course but I don't know. All the declarations of him being dead and everyone being celebratory made me think the exact opposite. I needed to see a sheet pulled over his face as they did w/my Franco. LOL!

Okay . . . before POTUS interrupted the show, I was not happy w/the way Trina was just sitting there and not saying much during that Trina/Josslyn/Esme conversation. I don't like them playing her as so mild-mannered and weak. When the show returned, Trina was telling off Josslyn. I did like that. It seems Trina is finally noticing that Josslyn is NOT her friend. As she said, Josslyn cared more about one upping Esme than she did about Trina. From the little I saw, Josslyn was being obnoxious. Josslyn is far too much like her mother for my taste. Her setting is permanently stuck on "bitch" mode. I didn't see the entire conversation btw them from yesterday and today, but there is no reason to always be a bitch to someone. If you don't like someone, avoid them. I know this is a soap so the conversations are forced, but the writing needs to step it up. If Josslyn genuinely doesn't like Esme, why sit around and listen to her. Just get up and say, "Sorry. I have to run. I'm meeting my mom/Cameron/dad/Jenny/Paul." She could have then texted Trina. Josslyn is too much. And I don't care if they just had a fight, Josslyn would be an idiot to believe Trina recorded her having sex w/Cameron and then uploaded it to the Internet. Why in the world would Trina do that? No matter how angry Trina is w/Josslyn, she would never do that? If Josslyn believes that, Trina should cut her off and never be friends w/her again. I could have sworn that set has been Sonny's personal home for years - well before Carly moved in. Why can't Carly move back into her old home? That's some nonsense, IMO. I wish Maxie had shouted to Peter that she can't be the one to save him; he needed to "save" himself. Loved Felicia knocking him out. Let's just hope he's actually dead. If they bury him, I'm sure he's not really dead.

I was really enjoying what I saw of Maxie before the news break here in the states. I’ll have to catch the rest of the show later but I could grow to like this version of Maxie. She was confident and less ditzy. The dialogue was good, and she acknowledged her mistakes with Peter. I hate games so her directness after his wolf threat was the best! I know many liked the hospital scenes where she confronted Peter but I preferred these scenes….at least the bit I saw. LOL! I love Laura’s advice to Esme to get a life! That’s the best advice she could give. Your life should never be wrapped up in one person. Esme needs another outlet. The actress is really good. They need to jumpstart her story already! I’m happy they didn’t let Josslyn go on endlessly about Sonny but she’s still annoying. Maybe it’s the way the actress delivers her lines (or my bias), but I don’t get the sense that she truly cares about Trina. She doesn’t come off very genuine. Why say Trina will never be #1 to Spencer?! Why not tell your friend to be cautious given his past actions. I don’t know. Again, I truly despise Josslyn so maybe that’s playing into my view of their conversation. Spencer is so annoying. I hope they move past his anger with his dad soon. It’s boring at this point.

I wish I could trust this show to be telling the truth re: this Joan woman and Willow, but I don't. I feel like we're still heading towards Nina miraculously being Willow's mom. And if that's the story they want to tell, TELL IT ALREADY! Quit teasing it. Does anyone honestly care anymore anyway? I'm already tired of the Nina drama w/Michael, Carly, and Josslyn and have been since it started so adding more is not good! I hope I'm wrong though. Brook Lynn's outfit was cute. She looked nice for once. And her blazer was a lighter material so that was nice! LOL! I'm not mad at Mac and Felicia for dropping Bailey back off to Brook Lynn. I guess that sets up the story for when Maxie comes back. Shut up, Michael. Even if he has a point, I hate the very sight of him! I had to mute his ranting. Carly's kids are obnoxious and insufferable! I hate them both! I need to stop looking up when I mute b/c when did Sonny justify what Nina did? Did I miss those scenes? Is him not wanting her to DIE justifying what she did?! Carly and her brats are so self-absorbed. They are incapable of seeing anything from another's POV. Guess they got it from their mama. Does anyone care about the CarSon marriage anymore? Anyone? Just let them divorce and be done w/it. Why must they be shown every freaking day?!? I can only assume the majority of fans still watching this show love them or something b/c there is no other justification for their complete domination of this show. It ridiculous! I honestly forgot Esme had recorded Joss/Cam b/c there was no follow up to that story. We were thrust in CarSon world right after the long awaited and talked about "trip" that took all of one episode. Nina and Willow bonded today. They are totally mother and daughter. 🙄 Darn this show for dragging out plot points to the point where no one cares.

I liked that Man Landers story. LOL! 😂 I wanted Nathan and Amy to hook up! I will be in the minority in that too. LOL!! Yeah . . . today's episode was a huge drop off from yesterday. Portia's face bores me so I muted all the Portia/Trina/Taggert scenes. Given the positive reports on those scenes though, I will go back and watch them off YT. I know I should be used to this but I HATE seeing every beat of CarSon's lives. Every beat. We never see this for any other characters. Only them! Ugh!! Can't they just divorce or reconnect already?!?! This story is boring at this point. I guess we're gonna have to watch every moment of the divorce too! Didn't Sonny used to fly to an island and quickie divorce women?!?! Can't they do that now? Ugh. This whole arc is a major drag. The stuff w/Liz is interesting. I still think her son (probably Jake) is doing this stuff but they need to play this up more and less CarSon/Nina drama. I didn't like how Valerie was after she slept w/Dante. She was so rude and obnoxious, but I also don't like how they are playing Nina either. It's clear they don't want to paint her as the "bad guy," so why have them sleep together? She's not owning her actions or staking her claim so it's no fun to watch. I know I'm being inconsistent b/c Valerie had no shame, and that portrayal didn't work for me either. I don't know. This story is just not working . . . for me at least. It's FF/mute material for me at this point. Oh, and I agree w/Chet and Terri being an off-screen relationship. This show has no interest in actually featuring them. Chet will just be Terri's off-screen BF like that guy Felix used to date. I will be shocked if I'm wrong.

Good show today! I actually saw it in real time. It was so nice to get a well-deserved breather from the lame Sonny/Nina/Carly drama. Sadly, our reprieve will be brief as they are back on tomorrow, but today was good. I don't have much to say. I watched every segment even the Peter ones! LOL! When Maxie left Louise, I was hoping the police would be alerted so I'm glad there wasn't any drama w/that. I still wish Maxie had brought a gun or a knife w/her to end Peter for once and all but she played it as well as she could given the circumstances. And, of course, Valentin reacted as I always knew he would, proving Maxie should have let Brook Lynn tell him like Brook Lynn wanted. Good episode!

Maxie has a lot of nerve blaming Austin for leading Victor to Bailey. Austin had no idea Bailey was Louise. Victor asked him about a sonogram. That's it. The reality is Maxie should have clued in Valentin b/c Valentin's rage about Bailey not being his kid is what led to Victor to the secret! Also, Maxie better have a gun or a knife w/her b/c this is beyond ridiculous. I only caught the very end of the show, but did Peter have bodyguards around him? I don't think he did. Maxie should have shot him in the back or get close to him and jab him in the throat! This character needs to die already. I'm so sick of him! I saw that Drew/Carly sex was stopped. Thank goodness! As a BM/Drew fan, I really hate how they glossed over how horrible CarSon was to Drew after the reveal. They literally dropped him as a "friend" and never spoke to him again! Did they even care when he "died?" No, they didn't! Just b/c CM is a new actor doesn't mean we've forgotten what we saw! I like CM's Drew, but I hate his friendship w/these jerks! They could have worked to show them becoming friendlier not act like we didn't see what we saw when BM was in the role! And am I the only one who finds it wildly inappropriate that the first person Carly was going to whine and complain to was her son?! Yes, he's an adult but I just didn't like it. Carly needs a female friend. Call Olivia. Call your mom. Don't unload on your kid in that moment!

I really need to see Sonny laugh in Carly's face and drop truth bombs on her about Jason. Why is this show acting like Carly wouldn't drop Sonny like a hot potato if Jason wanted her?!?! Carly is only with Sonny b/c Jason rejected her! That's how they started. Some of us have not forgotten. Carly has always preferred Jason over Sonny. She settled for Sonny. Sonny is right about her truly wanting Jason. I may be in the minority on this too but I was hoping for a Drew/Sam/Dante triangle. KeMo was actually sparkling some w/CM. I'm mad it seems to have been dropped to force Drew w/Carly. Ugh! Poor Drew! Can't Carly be single?!?! Why must Drew hang around her so much?!? I'm happy Maxie isn't blaming Brook Lynn though they could have done a better job of securing that baby. The Ned/Brook Lynn scenes sound like they were good. I only saw the very end (and the previews), but how did Peter get Charlotte?!?! Did he do it yesterday? I'm so over Peter. I even skip the recaps of Peter. Sorry, Daisy! LOL! They just keep dragging it out w/him. It's ridiculous at this point. Can he just go off screen for a very long time and take his real life GF w/him too?! Haha!

Yes, I agree w/@Blackie and @perkie1968. And I still think they should have clued in Valentin. If they had, he wouldn't have started snooping around, which led to Victor figuring it out. Honestly, once Peter was back in PC, Maxie should have skipped town w/her baby or told her family the truth so she could have around the clock protection. I'm sure Peter would have gotten Bailey anyway b/c the writers wanted him to get her, but that would have made more sense than her continuing the lie.

She did agree to give him an hour. She told him she would meet him so if she changed her mind (which it appears she did), she owed him the common courtesy of telling him she wasn't coming. It's clear she was going to stand him up until Drew talked her into coming. I'll happily be in the minority, but I think Carly has treated Sonny horribly during all of this. She has been awful. She has no compassion and is ridiculously selfish. Through no fault of his own, he fell in love w/another woman while having an amnesia. He didn't set out to cheat on his wife or fall for another woman. When he got his memory back, he didn't immediately tell his wife about that relationship. Oh, and b/c he likes and now knows Nina better than he ever did before, he's not interested in ruining her life or murdering her. He just wants to move on w/his wife and his life. That is Sonny's big crime. I'm sorry I just can't drink the Kool-Aid they've been selling that Sonny is awful and horrible here. Sonny's "crime" is just not that big of a deal. Carly doesn't need space. She just doesn't want her marriage. If she did, she would be speaking to her husband or going to marriage counseling, not claiming she needs space. Space for what? What is there to think about here? Again, it's simple. You either want the marriage or you don't. Carly doesn't, and I wish the show had the balls to have her say that! Just say that she regrets choosing Sonny when he returned when she could have chosen the person she has always wanted over everyone else: Jason! But they want to paint Sonny in the bad light and as the bad guy. Whatever. I'm definitely taking a GH break b/c I refuse to watch Carly whining, yelling, crying, and screaming about Sonny sleeping w/Nina for weeks on end. I refuse to watch Sonny beg, whine, and cry about Carly and getting her back. And I refuse to watch Nina looking doofy, perplexed, and sad when she realizes she's been used. Nope. Not doing it. This is nowhere close to being "must-see-tv" for me.
