rewatching Lorelei out of Water- Taylor is making EXTENSIVE renovations to the building before Luke signs the lease. in what world is that a) legal and b) something Luke would allow?
-
i'm glad i'm not alone! and i'm not sure if this is so much a nitpick as a gripe, but does anyone else think Lorelei is really insensitive at the end of "A Messenger, Nothing More"? Rory has just gotten screamed at in the street for being a homewrecker, and Lorelei goes off about the renfair girl hitting on Luke and being a "little slut". i'm not condoning or agreeing with what Rory did, but i just think if your kid is in that headspace and you're obviously choosing to support her, you'd be a little more selective in your choice of words.
-
in the opener for Jews and Chinese food, Paris says that Lorelei would be a great "lead off antidote" for her project on women and loneliness. shouldn't that be "anecdote?". maybe it's just Liza's pronunciation, but i've seen the episode literally thousands of times and she is definitely not saying anecdote.

^ This. All my British friends HATE peanut butter and make fun of how much i eat it. And in the shallow end of the pool- Mailk in that suit was 8 different kinds of hot. that fight in the hall/elevator made me so uncomfortable, mostly because i've had a similar fight with an ex. and as douchey as Kevin was, and as much as i disagree with his main point, he wasn't entirely wrong about Patrick and i'm glad someone finally pointed out that he wasn't the innocent he likes to act like.

agreed. he made me cringe through the entire Paleyfest panel.

another clarification- i never asked if it was normal, that was 'himela'. :) but your point is taken.

i just want to clarify- i in no way think she owed it to Adam to ask his opinion on what to do- as stated above, it is her body and her choice. i do, however, think she owed it to him to tell him what was going on. before she did it. maybe i just have a different view on honesty in a relationship, i don't know.

respectfully disagree with this on a couple levels. i know many committed, happy couples with children who are not married (and a couple that have absolutely no plans to do so). you can "consider having the baby" without a proposal. commitment and marriage are not one in the same. additionally, a dental appointment or a mole removal is on your body and concerns no one but you, and as such you don't need to inform your significant other. it takes two people to conceive a baby. i believe that, yes, the ultimate decision on whether or not to keep the baby lies with the woman, but i also believe she at least owes it to her partner to inform them of what's going on.

most of this episode had me holding my breath and applauding them for a job well done until the "Oliver has HIV reveal". SEETHING. every gay couple/character does not need an AIDS storyline. my best friend (a gay male) had originally loved this show because it didn't really fit the stereotype of gays in tv and film (aka someone has AIDS! someone thinks they have AIDS!). he hasn't watched this episode yet, but i know he'll be less than thrilled. i know it seems as if i'm being reductive but seriously, it's been done SO.MANY.TIMES. sigh. otherwise, a fantastic episode.

Mo really nails Lauren's body language in that, i've always loved it -
i'm not sure where to put this post, but i was sitting here reading TVD forums (don't judge!) and all of a sudden i heard a very familiar voice- Keiko Agena in a Verizon ad! she suddenly looks her age (not in a bad way! as someone who looks much younger than her years, i know it gets annoying looking like a child after a while.)

Mrs Jumbo, are we twins? word to every one of these (especially #4- i found rebel Tom insufferable)
