Maybe poor lonely Brooke could spend some time with her youngest son Jack rather than with her sister's husband or her bottle of hooch. I imagine Jack is lonely too - stuffed in the closet in the guest bedroom where his mother stores her former wedding dresses and engagement rings. (it's a big closet)

In the iron ore shipping business, the First Mate is in charge of the deck, the Chief Engineer is in charge of the engine room, with the Captain above them both. So if Don were wearing his deckhand 'hat' he takes orders from the First Mate, not the Chief Engineer and vice versa. (there is a whole hierarchy of people above deckhands - a 3rd mate (if they had one) would be above a deckhand) Perhaps it is different than the yachting industry. Either way of course, an order from the Captain supersedes any other orders. And you don't talk back to the Captain. ever. Could get you assigned to your room until you hit the next port where you are escorted from the ship and left to your own devices.

Ugh - I hate this. If someone were going in for a kiss and I didn't want them to, they would be kissing air or the back of my hand perhaps. I would not be kissing them back Caroline. Although, it would be funny for Ridge to lose Caroline just the way he won her. It's just a few kisses.... Thanks everyone for the Zarf background. I just don't trust TPTB to handle this without their normal heavyhandedness. They are already having Rick say every few minutes how he can't be with someone who isn't honest with him. Imagine the scene when he finds out that Maya has been lying to him too. If they play that 'we are so whacky' music that they play during what TBTB think should be funny scenes I'm going to be crazy mad.

I don't remember too much about Maya's baby other than it was given up for adoption and killed in an auto accident. Could Maya have been the biological father, had custody, and ultimately had to give the baby up for adoption when she went to jail?
