  1. compelled to inject herself into -------------------------------------------- She waited a whole year before working film of her daughter into a feature story.
  2. I really thought photo(s) of the surrogate would be out ---TMZ?-- by now? Even though the egg could be anybody's --including the surrogate-- I just imagine Sal selecting some super hot babe to give up her genetic profile for Sal Jr! At some point someone is likely to say something, perhaps looking for a bump in her fee?
  3. IMO there's misinformation out there. It wouldn't be above ABC to play this out in a way they get max' publicity. ID thing Wallace will get the job for several reasons even though print media is saying she's the one. I may be totally wrong but I see Hostin/Cupp getting the final two spots. IDK how old Cupp is but if she's U-32 that could be a big plus for her. One problem is I still don't see Rosie as one of four. She's probably paid three times as much as Whoopi and I would expect her to get the biggest chunk of voice time whether she's Mod' or not. So why not just give her that job too? By the way one of the entertainment shows quoted an anonymous source as saying Whoopi claimed she had to work the last two years with "... cranky 85-year-old woman who's mad about everything."
  4. I don't believe everything I read. I would bet Hostin gets the job. Even if you don't like her lawyer-like approach to things sh'e got several things going for her. To select Gonzalez over her doesn't seem correct. Wallace is too much a political pro. I have to say this isn't what I expected. I thought it would be lighter? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2719605/Shake-The-View-Tw o-relative-unknowns-chosen-seats-vacated-Jenny-McCarthy-Sherri-Shepherd.html
  5. I think it will be Hostin/Wallace. I don't know what Wallace's marital status is or if she has a child or even if she's willing to live in NYC but she certainly looked like she wanted the job.
  6. If everything had been acceptable at ABC and she was returning in Sept. I have to think her feelings about the baby would be different. I don't think the network would find it normal to reject a birth she is contracted to be a mother to. I'm not saying they would have interfered in Sherri's divorce but I really don't think they'd put up with her saying in public--or in print-- that she didn't want to pay support. And maybe she hasn't done that yet but it's been made pretty clear that this is what she's thinking. Maybe it's a tactic but it would be pretty controversial to have a daily talk host with this kind of outlook about her newborn.
  7. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2716927/Sherri-Shepherd-make-Broadway-debut.html TMZ doesn't come on in my market for another 90 min's. ET will be on at 6pm but they don't seem up-to-minute type of show. So is is coincidence that she get's a new job and new baby (yes, it's still hers) on the same day?
  8. I don't read his stuff but from just a google, I guess the baby hasn't arrived? If Sal Jr. had, I would imagine Sal would have let everyone know? One of the reasons I've sort of avoided the whole thing is that it kind of makes me queasy. I feel bad for all concerned. I tend to believe Sal because I think Sherri is smarter than she lets on and she probably did want a surrogate baby. LS doing it for the support seems like it is a bit too diabolical. There was just too much involved for Sherri to not really think things through given she was dealing with lawyers, contracts, and the MD's that put the whole process in motion.
  9. I have my doubts about the Megan story. I don't know what her other job is I never heard of it. Let's just say that 900k and perks to join a network show would be pretty tough to say no to. Even if your mom is worth 500mil. Maybe ABC just asked to talk? If they had come with an offer I think she would have accepted.
  10. "50 Shades" I'm sure Dakota Johnson has some talent but I wouldn't know as I don't remember seeing her before? That, and not being concerned about doing soft-core porn probably got her the role. I didn't see the interview but I was home to see the NBC News with Brian Williams. Since the film is property of Universal --parent Co. of NBC-- they got a plug disguised as a news story.
  11. I thought the Michael Moore story was strange. He's getting a divorce and owns a home and condo. Like because he does stories on corporate greed he can't own property? The desk looked embarrassed. They didn't say anything.
  12. They had to get serious this week...events and all. But they did manage to dump water on Matt's head. I don't know if the others were involved? I'm starting to switch a lot between CBS/Today. I don't give GMA a look. CBS is different. They are almost certainly last but get an A for effort.
  13. I realize these are only suggestions but some --candidates-- are terrible. It would be quite ironic if Meagan ever got the gig because her parents are on record as feeling the show treated them unfairly. Lot's of touting of your own group --whatever that may be-- but I'd bet that a Jewish panelist will be rep'd. I still don't know if Babs has anything to do with actual hiring? She may just be Exec.Pro in name only and ABC is calling all the shots? As far as Trump returning I remember Conan saying that Trump was the only guest he dealt with that you could say anything about and he'd still return. So of course the publicity addict will be back with Rosie at first opportunity he's given.
  14. I shouldn't speak for Elisabeth but it could simply mean Rosie didn't support Iraq/Af wars? IMO our response to 9-11 should have been to ID, find, and slaughter the terrorists and anyone who aided them. No trial, no jails - kill them. I was not interested in occupying an Islamic country (a loosing proposition if ever there was one).
  15. This dumbass is just promo'ing a competin network's show saying 'she's waiting with interest.' Elisabeth has been lying all along. We know she was told to leave. It's just that ABC was nice enough to let her run off to fox and even kept her on until the day she was hired. This ire about Rosie is really just about herself and how she was treated. From what I've understood Rosie and herself had some kind of rapprochement, which I guess has kind of worn away (or has it)? Nothing would surprise me it is showbiz after all.
  16. I don't think Whoopi should be back. She's probably got one year left on her deal. ABC should just pay her off and start with a clean slate. Rosie has too much leverage now to allow anyone else to be moderator. She should make clear she wants Barbara's influence gone. I don't think the two would be bad together but I just have the feeling Whoopi would act like she was demoted or something. I also find it odd that ABC would do a one year deal. What if the show's a minor hit? Rosie could ask for a huge raise next spring and if they didn't capitulate she could go somewhere else.
  17. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2684088/Rosie-ODonnell-active-negotiations-rejoin-beleaguered-chat-walked-2007.html Barbara will probably insist Rosie was 'always her first choice' when thinking of additions.
  18. I've noticed she likes to taunt Lester every time he's required to do something physical. I don't remember JW saying she was any great athlete or anything. She probably just spends a lot of time pumping iron and trying to tone her upper arms and shoulders. She is soooo fortunate to have this soft gig reading a few scripts on the weekends. She could be sent out to a ghetto in Guatamala --like her girlfriend Steph-- who actually had to do some reporting last week.
  19. The nightly talk show sounds a little questionable to me. This is still a visual medium with an emphasis on demo's. ABC creating a 1-1.30 am show for someone who comes out in a bathrobe and slippers? I doubt it? Would WG attract younger viewers? The 5 million bucks a year sounds high to me also? That's double Joy's salary who took about 15 years to make what she ended her career making. But maybe Whoopi was in a good position when they had just fired Star/Rosie and wanted a high profile replacement. The bottom line is I think they will have to dynamite Whoopi out of the chair if she's making that kind of cash for such an easy gig. There's no way she'd leave on her own no matter who she has to sit with on the stage. Even if she loses the Mod' position.
  20. She probably knew because Elisabeth told her 'you're next' start looking for something else.
  21. There's a story out there in the I-net that Rosie has been secretly negotiating since spring. I just don't think she'd come back as a one-of-five equal. It would have to be as moderator (and highest paid cast member). So that means either Whoopi must go or move down the line. If they pay her off it's probably for one year at 2.25 mil or so? I don't think R&W have any hostility per se it's more of a power move by Rosie. She doesn't need this job: I can understand her negotiating the best possible conditions. Rosie could also ask ABC to keep Babs away from any decision making role and just show up to plug her specials. Otherwise, stay away!
  22. It's funny I thought of this months ago. Maybe Sal got an egg from some hot babe, transplanted that in a willing surrogate? Lots of legal questions forthcoming. Sal will probably want SS to pick up his attorney's fees! It is sad. I don't necessarily believe Sal put together this master plan. I think she's always wanted an additional child. Sal may have thought it was a good move but I still think it was all her motivation and planning behind it. I guess if you have this kind of money and are willing to spend you can do just about anything. It is ironic that ABC may have felt a need to can her even if they were willing to retain her for 2015? This kind of talk --if true-- about not taking responsibility for an infant wouldn't be acceptable for a network TV host.
  23. I don't have anything against surrogate births per se. Maybe you should be a bit more quiet about them? I realize that isn't Sherri's style but someone close might mention that. It's a delicate situation. I think a low-key approach is more appropriate.
  24. Key interview points: I don't think the gown enhanced Pippa's bottom. She was probably sore from all that bike riding (as a leering Matt pointed out).
  25. I bet she'll be fired at the end of July." ---------------------------------------------------------- Depends on her deal? Sherri's was up: she was looking for another. Whoopi probably --I don't know-- is under contract for the 14'15 season. ABC probably wouldn't pay her for not working, they'd just keep her. I think they only reason they would drop her is if they got someone who really insisted on having the moderator's spot and being the highest paid on the show (do we know anybody like that).
