S05.E01: One Bad Night and Chaos of Selfish Desires

I thought the same about Brenda, between Previously on and the opener. But maybe it was because she was sitting down. -

I noticed that his nose looked quite different. Missy doesn’t seem to have changed that much though. Her growth (and facial change) seemed to have been between season 3 and 4. Truer words. And I love your phrase “topics ripe with merriment”. -
(late to the game, we just finished binging the last two seasons) This! The previous episode ended on a cliffhanger, pointedly hiding her chopped-up hair, so we should have seen the new improved Mary in this episode, and… nothing. Wtf, show?

Well clearly Coulson did (and Barton). -

This 100%. Of course the out of universe answer is “we don’t get the suspenseful reveal”. But, do you, really, want the, episode, to, go on, that... long? Show of hands now, on first viewing, how many people thought for a second that wiseass Tony Stark was messing with them with a collapse on the floor? Same! Also, what the heck was that virus or whatever infecting the blood vessels in his neck? -
And since she implied that she worked there, she was talking to them totally out of character (“you guys...”). That’s not what people who work at Ren Fairs normally do. Or this variation from the trailer...

If Hunter B-15 could keep Loki in check in Mongolia, why couldn’t the Minutemen reverse / prevent the flow of the fire in Oklahoma to protect themselves?
-
It's a pretty universal rule... My Tennessee friend says hers is pretty good, but more Nashville than "rural Tennessee". (I've been to Nashville several times, and yes, many do talk like that)
-
Excellent point! Hey TVA, how about a little cultural sensitivity, huh? Asgardians (apparent) and Frost Giants are people too! (sorta) You could start by having a coffee mug with a picture of your cat on it...on both sides of the mug. Then we can go from there. Yep, these three totally sitting in their armchairs, eating popcorn, seeing Steve and Peggy dancing in her living room, going "Awwww...."
-
My fan theory is that the TVA has a different video for whatever species is standing in line. They might even have different lines, for really large or small species.
-
I noticed that the logo of the TVA on the front of the judge's bench included an hourglass...was I the only one that thought it also could be a sort of Cubist infinity symbol? Or am I giving the designers too much credit? Noticed on the second viewing...in 2012, how in the world did Loki go from "I smell Tony Stark's cologne seemingly twice" to "the Avengers have traveled back in time to 2012"? He was facing away from FutureTony the whole time, and FutureCap was never even in the area. And yet he said (in the court scene) that the Avengers (not just Tony) had time-traveled.

S01.E06: One World, One People

Interesting that neither the actress nor the character are listed in Black Widow’s IMDb listing. -

Yep—we’re supposed to feel sorry for Karli all of a sudden? They didn’t exactly make her a sympathetic character on the previous five episodes. -

I could watch Carl Lumbly all day long. -

Except that this isn’t the real Captain America in the eyes of many. Not to mention that all of those videos have already gone viral, losing whatever public acclaim he might have had. Third, a court martial is not the same as a public trial. It’s conducted in private. I still don’t see how the military, or a Senator, can choose not to give him a court-martial. A court-martial seems almost mandatory to me, given the circumstances. You can’t avoid it, just because certain government officials made a bad decision (in retrospect) to give him the shield.
-
How does a civilian Senator get to decide that a military officer doesn’t get a court martial? And how does that officer even evade court-martial for murder? No Captain America gets to be judge, jury, and executioner.

THIS. WTF?
-
I think that was just Hayward justifying the ‘mission’ to Rambeau, by making Wanda more of a threat. He himself is not concerned about the ethics of Sword.
-
2nd Finally (like second breakfast), so Vision has only nine days of memory, but he has a ‘core memory’ of being with Wanda?
-
A. Sorry if this has been asked (7 pages... yay?) but what does Vision mean when he says I’m ignoring statistics entirely? B. And am I the only one that interpreted Peter‘s shrug (in response to Wanda’s “Pietro?”) as “Ah, close enough” C. (I assume it’s been mentioned already that Pietro should at least know who ‘popsicle’ Vision is, since they fought Ultron in the same structure) D. And finally, do I have this timeline right? 5 years ago: the Snap 3 weeks ago: the Blip, and Wanda came back (and then Endgame) 11 days or so ago: Wanda attended Tony Stark’s funeral 9 days ago: Wanda retrieved Vision‘s body from Sword, where it had been for five years (and Vision’s memory started)
-
I think you misunderstood my question. There is zero reason for anyone at Sword to be broadcasting in black and white. But within Wanda‘s fantasy, if she is creating a sitcom world that was originally broadcast in black-and-white, then it’s internally consistent for *her* to do so.
-
That we know of. Also, why would a third party broadcast in black-and-white?
-
Yep. That’s why I indicated virtual cameras in my OP— something I would think would be within Wanda’s superlative capabilities.
-
I would think she’d have to be the one doing it. First, Darcy and Woo appeared surprised at the transmission. Second, if someone at Sword is doing the broadcasting, surely Wanda would notice two or three TV cameras (each!) in her different fantasy living rooms, kitchen, and front yard.
