’m surprised at the comments about how Monica seems unhinged. She was 22, lonely, and getting attention from a very powerful, charismatic man. I’d say her behavior speaks more to insecurity and self-esteem issues than being unhinged.

Exactly! Fixating on/having an affair with a married man was wrong, but it takes two to tango. He was older, he was married, he should have known better. The second she blabbed about having a crush on him, he could have set her straight and maintained those boundaries but he didn’t.

My comment about her seeming unhinged isn't related so much as to her obsession with Clinton (because I do think it was an obsession) but more for things like showing her thong in in a crowd like that. People who are lonely and insecure don't usually tend to be that bold, especially in public.

  2. I love Sarah Paulson but I can already tell this one isn't going to pull me in the way the previous two did. I followed the OJ case and the Versace case. I didn't follow all this Lewinsky stuff at all because frankly I didn't care. I'm disappointed this is what they chose to do after two such compelling stories.

  3. I'm glad it's over. I enjoyed it for the first few seasons but this last season became a chore to watch. By the last episode, I pretty much hated everyone and hated even more the fact that there was no Diana.

The most ridiculous part of the season was sticking Lauren into Diana's seat. I realize they were trying to bring her more into the main storyline but there was no actual employee who could fill in while Diana was gone? Like her own assistant? No company is going to bring some goofy, crazy lady with no filter and no sense of the publishing world into such a high level position, even temporarily. It was so unbelievable that it made the whole last season pretty much a joke since so much of it was centered around the company.

I'm glad I started watching when it first came on because it really was a fun show. But it definitely went on too long, and the extra year break before the last season due to COVID didn't help. Right now I feel like I just finished an obligation and am glad it's finally out of the way.

I want them to be done with the Wheatley's and cut out the Benson/Stabler stuff but they probably won't. Wolf dangled them in front of the shippers that I would think if they backed off now it'd be worse backlash from the base than if they never started it at all. So I'll just hope MH doesn't want to pull double duty for a full season or they decide paying her whatever the Special Guest Star rate isn't cost effective because I think those are the best chances we have for that stuff to be toned down.

Not everyone who enjoys Benson/Stabler is a shipper. Nor do I perceive every interaction between them as pandering to shippers.  I waited 10 years to see CM and MH back together and I will take whatever I can get. I want to see even more of them next season!

  5. I guess I'm in the minority but the last scene didn't bother me at all. I didn't take it as pandering to shippers or trying to write E/O has a great love story. I took it as Richard trying to screw with his ex-wife, who's suddenly in love with Elliot after one kiss, and to screw with Elliot by making a veiled threat against someone he cares about. Because, other than his kids, who else being threatened would bother Elliot that much? And it has nothing to do with romance or romantic feelings or anything like that. He would've reacted the same way 15 years ago when he was happily married. And who really wants to see even more of his kids?

I love Elliot and Olivia as partners in the same way I loved Maddie and David. Because of that, I've always been very leery of a relationship between them because o f what happened when they hooked Maddie and David up. It ruined the relationship and the show for me. I also don't hate Olivia because I stopped watching SVU the day CM left and haven't seen a single episode in 10 years until Return of the Prodigal Son. There are things I notice about her now that bug me that weren't there back when I watched (the whispering, the moving-mouth-with-no-words-coming-out before she speaks), but I still love watching CM and MH together. And after 10 years, I'll take them together any way I can get them.

Ah , was really hoping for a twist with Gina and that she was not going to die which was telegraphed from the moment she was introduced. I knew she would die even if she was just a girlfriend and not a cop.  Is there any hope that the supposed "rat" saved her while he was "cleaning up the mess?"

I thought the same thing. He was trying to get rid of Richie before he shot her and then told him to leave and he'd clean up, so I immediately thought he's in on making her look dead.

I seem to be in the minority but I really can't stand Angela and hope she gets locked up for good and stays far away from Elliot. No way would the Elliot Stabler I watched for 12 seasons have anything to do with a person who was even remotely involved in his wife getting killed.

That scene did not make sense to me. Jenny grabbed the secretary (or what ever she is) and dove for cover with her. Jenny lives and the other girl dies?

I wish I could comment on what happened but the whole opening of the show was so dark I could barely tell who was on screen, let alone what was happening. The end was the same.

  8. If you look at your on-screen guide for next week's show, you'll know whether Jenny lives or dies. At least on DirecTV. 😆

Am I the only one who starts humming "Rocky Mountain High" every time I see Ronald?

The lack of clarity on the voting makes me think it's all fake.  I haven't watched Idol in years but I seem to remember that the Little Man would announce how close the vote was ("the bottom 2 were separated by less than 1%" or some things like that).  Can't remember if we ever heard this on DWTS either.

    It was heard on DWTS.

On the other hand, she's still more qualified to be a judge than Brian Austin Green. His presence on this show is still baffling to me.

I thought it was just me. I had no idea what he was doing there, other than having just competed on Masked Singer. But then again, so did many others.

Also, BAG is now dating Sharna Burgess so he's been spending a lot of time with Maks. You're going to tell me he had no clue it was him?

As for Maks, he knows better. He told me I was about to get a jive and then spent most of the routine "mucking about" knocking over bowling pin dancers. Rolling on the floor was not a good look. Maks or his choreographer, though I have to believe he had a say in what he was doing, was so focused on putting humor into his number that he forgot to dance. And maybe jive isn't the right dance when you're wearing big, costume sloth feet considering how important footwork is in a jive. And again, I don't know what the voters see, but when Maks finally started partnering, they cut to a shot of the judges and fake audience reacting. What? Why?

Excellent point. I commented on that in previous weeks, that he was going too much for humor and not enough for dancing up to his full capabilities. I've also never been real impressed with Kiki's choreography, though I know he's a close friend and former student of Maks.

I’m wondering if Maks’ finale routine was dialed down to accommodate his back and shoulder injuries.  During the opening group number I think the male dancers lifted their partners but I don’t think Maks did.  BTW, in a post show interview he said he didn’t do any choreography. He was happy to show up and let someone else have that responsibility.

I also read that one of his later routines was supposed to be his first routine but the producers wouldn't allow it because it was so advanced compared to the others.

  12. I was really disappointed in how it ended. While I was rooting for Maks, I had no idea if it would be him or Tulip. The only thing I was sure of was that Cotton Candy would come in third. I'm still not sure why she won off a gymnastics routine. Maybe, like DWTS has become, people don't want to vote for the professional dancers.

I probably won't watch the show again. I didn't really care for it overall, and the only reason I kept watching this season was because I was enjoying Maks. But I find it REALLY annoying how much of the dance routine you can't even see them dancing because they're going to the fake audience and panel for fake reaction shots. The continuity sucks. And I just don't care for Craig Robinson as the host (still don't know why FOX didn't try to snag Tom and Erin for this gig). I think I'll just stick with Masked Singer.

  13. The show is so ridiculously entertaining that I'll miss it until April. But I can't believe I'm the only one who didn't realize that was Mom dressed up as a kid. I thought it was a doll. Then again, when they first showed the priest was driving the Tesla, I thought it was Ronald in a Halloween mask LOL!

I loved Cotton Candy's cheer themed routine this week. Bring It On and Toni Basil are classic cheer references! It made me wonder if Cotton Candy is Gabi Butler - until I saw her cheer jump section. I'm 99% sure Gabi's pike and herkie are way better than that.

I'm glad that the three best dancers are in the finale. It's always disappointing when someone who is clearly waaaaaaay out of their league makes the finals. But that brings up an interesting point - since there's no studio audience, who the hell is actually voting?

I believe they have a group of fans who vote by phone and count as the "audience."

Wait: We need to talk about something VERY important.. Why the fuuuh were the judges in their premiere outfits? How does that work? They referenced who they had guessed in the past and everything. I was too confused. The Tis' baby bump will always tell us where filming lands, chronologically.

Continuity on this show is awful. This week, while the host was doing his intro, the camera kept cutting back and forth between him, the crowd and the panelists. Sometimes the four contestants would be standing on stage with him and other times he was there by himself.

The figure skater clinched it for me because of his partnership and win with Meryl Davis. With word up I detected an accent for the first time.

The accent gave it away for me during his first week!

The other partner clue for Maks was a panda and he partnered with Laila Ali on DWTS and she was the panda in Masked Singer.

It's weird they've included some of his more forgettable partnerships, like Denise Richards and Amber Rose, but they haven't included some of his more popular partnerships like Erin Andrews and Kirstie Alley.

Maks married Peta from DWTS. It's NOT Val because he is too short to be the sloth. Also, Maks was so known for being a bachelor, he was actually on The (Ukranian) Bachelor, as the Bachelor.

Val also didn't have an accident when he was younger, which was one of the clues in his first week.

Kind of unbelievable to me that Paula guessed him based on the pumpkin spice jar. To be honest, I couldn't even tell what that thing was during the clues. I also wish he'd stop making so many of his clues about Peta. For the most part, people who don't watch DWTS probably have no idea who Maks is, They're certainly not going to know who Peta is or get any of those clues. Besides, there's more to Maks than her..

As much as he's annoyed me the past several years, I can't help rooting for Maks to win it all.

I want to see Maks do Latin.  I was disappointed that Hammerhead did the paso instead of Maks.  We've also seen zebra do Latin.  It's time for Maks to really shine.

Same! It's been fun watching him do other styles, but I really want to see something Latin.

If I was going to guess a gymnast for Cotton Candy, it would be Nastia who does have a leaner build than somebody like Simone.  She also was in the Olympics awhile ago so maybe that's why her switch leap isn't that great anymore.  But Cotton Candy's mannerisms is not like Nastia.  Ice skaters or a o

I thought of Meryl too, but the clues don't fit.

I'm really enjoying Maks but I feel like he's using too much humor, and not dancing to his full potential, probably because he's trying to not make it obvious he's a professional dancer (which he's failed to do). We're almost at the end, so now is the time to just let loose and show them what you can do to try to win this thing.
