  1. If I remember correctly, Arizona was also the friend who told Jackson about Samuel before April could have a chance to. Not a great friend, IMO.
  2. Anne and Ellen broke up in 2000, shortly before Anne had a full mental breakdown. She later married a cameraman, had a baby and then left him for Tupper. I admit that her being part of this cast made me reluctant to watch this, even tho this plot line is is right up my alley. Something about her voice sets my teeth on edge. But she doesn’t bug me as much as I anticipated.
  3. Yes — I think he stated the full name as William George Bailey Jones. So they called him Tuck after Bailey’s husband, Tucker Jones. I think “William” is after Bailey’s father. I wish they would mention Tucker - or in this case, GA could have at least thrown in an aside about discussing “the talk” with Tucker before doing it. Not taking away from the power of the scene, but I would have expected Bailey to involve the dad in such an important convo. (PS I miss Cress Williams. #longlivethehart)
  4. Agreed. That was a a full-on gut kick.
  5. right?? i really enjoy this show and have started to look forward to it - but i keep forgetting it's on and then I get home from work Tuesday and it's like a bonus! It took me entirely too long to realize it was James Tupper - I kept thinking it was Will Chase but I knew that was wrong. I liked that she recognized his voice immediately. Altho I question two uses of "button up." The first one - fine - "Get him buttoned up." But the second from the plane was weird. I don't know why it struck me. I think I expected her to say "locked down" or something more black-site-ish. I also liked that Adam, Noah and Hannah (that's her name, yes? I suck.) have their own little cabal about looking out for Patricia.
  6. I rewatched it three times!! I really had a hard time with them killing the little girl. I think i've said before - I watch a lot of crime shows - I even loved 24. And I still watch NCIS:LA! So gore, etc., doesn't normally bother me. or a high death count. Plus - since H50 kills an average of 15 people every ep.... But I felt the daughter (and even the wife) were too far. Now, would a band of high end terrorists kill a fed's whole family to send a message? Absolutely. But they didn't have to do it here. The show could have killed the agent and left the family and the impact would have been just as real. So by killing the daughter, are they saying that's what compelled Steve to round up all the baddies on the island? That he wouldn't have reacted that way if it was just the agent? I felt like they did it just for the shock value. I don't know. maybe I'm being too sensitive. That burnt bunny is going to haunt my dreams... ETA: just found my previous comment about not being bothered by gore - which - i am realizing is clearly no longer true since I have tried to use it as a disclaimer twice in the past two weeks. <facepalm> Anyway, it wasn't here I said it, but in Major Crimes. I'm off now to apparently rethink my tv choices...
  7. I agree with all - Camilla did a tremendous job of displaying the fear and anxiety and paralyzing mental grip Paul had on her. The direction and camera work was also superb - by the time they cut to the first commercial I had dug my nails into my palms! I echo the kudos to Mere for her unwavering support for Jo. I love love love that, without question, she and Alex are each other’s person, and that loyalty extends to full-on ride-or-die for the significant other. When Meredith realized who Paul was, the disdain rolled off her in waves. Jo’s face when she realized that Alex had sent the intern to find her - and that she was safe - was so beautiful. She finally had someone taking care of her. Or, rather, looking out for her. And Alex’s face was just as beautiful when he learned she was safe. The relief was palpable. Not sure how April can judge/administer a grant award for a program funded by her ex husband. But everything on Greys is incestuous and stretches the imagination, so I can roll with it. Count me as surprised by the new trans intern - didn’t read that in any spoilers! It’s nice to still be surprised! My shallow self thanks you for the extended view of JW’s six pack. Rowr. DeLuca, DeLuca sex intern, Arizona - blah blah fishcakes. God bless Kurt. A moment of silence for the Mr. Schue we knew and loved. He doesn’t live here anymore. Terri made him a bad, bad man.
  8. Be glad you are unaware! LOLOL! https://www.webmd.com/diet/features/juicing-health-risks-and-benefits
  9. I think Bess suggested that maybe Harrison was using again (as an explanation for Conrad's behavior), and Russell called Harrison to feel him out. He was relaying to Bess that Harrison was chock full of info about actual juicing as his new habit du jour and clearly was not using. (my take)
  10. I think she will be happy playing along, because she can run that sound bite about the President relying on her for the next two years. Even just the pic of the two of them together will be huge in terms of her campaign. This is how I took it, too. I loved all of it, unabashedly. PS: Loved that Russell struggled so hard with what he saw as betraying his friend. I also liked that he and the Acting SecDef left the room while they voted. (I mean, they should have, clearly, but that MS SHOWED it.)
  11. I took it that he's McG to everyone, and introduces himself as such, but all of a sudden a pretty lady appears and he's "Joseph."
  12. Um. Yeah. That was both gross AND disturbing.
  13. I liked it, too! @Xantar - I thought Preach said "four weeks." I was thinking they would spread that out over the rest of the season. I loved Hannah's burn on Amir. I also enjoyed the "I'm Joseph." HA! I liked the convo with the psychologist (he's dreamy). Adam's revelation at the end was timely, if unsettling.
  14. Per TWOP, the poor man’s Helen Mirren. She was the head of Homeland Security (and de facto head of CTU) and then Nat’l Security Advisor on 24. She was also on House of Cards. So she has this political persona down pat. “If I had my way, they wouldn’t get a lunch.” Never change, Russell.
  15. Not at all trying to start an argument or throw shade on Pauley OR Mark. I agree that both are well-respected and loved. My orig post quote: I don't agree that there is a dog issue, either - but maybe that's just the latest rumor floating about. As you said @GHScorpiosRule - the author of the article is a big fan. So I do trust her observation that they haven't shared a scene together this season, at least that she can recall. That strikes me odd and worthy of note, regardless of inciting factor. She notes: That's all I was pointing out. Perhaps it's as @pally suggested, and nothing more than minimizing her time, etc., to lessen the impact in May.
  16. I share this strictly for discussion purposes - I do not have an opinion one way or another, but I *am now starting to lean toward on-set shenanigans of some kind - with pit bull drama being the cover. Which saddens me since I was so convinced none of it was true only a week ago. http://happyeverafter.usatoday.com/2018/01/10/donna-kauffman-ncis-recap-season-15-episode-12-dark-secrets/
  17. @GHScorpiosRule I am going to post something over in the media thread about this ep and this season in general that is going to frost your ass. Be duly warned. ?
  18. Yup. I had to IMDB him. I was wondering, too - previous child abuse??
  19. Clunky aside, I *did think the girl playing the bullied was realistic. I agree, @mythoughtis about Sam calling his daughter. Equally, I liked that they didn't have Callen call Finn and check in. Not the same relationship. And, am I the only one wondering if Callen and Mama Firefighter are going to become friends?? Deeks was very superfluous as you all pointed out - the stupid riddle only made it more obvious. Altho, I am surprised Sam googled and didn't try to figure it out on his own. "microfiche" made me laugh. I'm an easy target. The plot itself confused me, but I admit to not really paying attention. I will never understand activists (of any sort) that destroy the very thing they are trying to save in order to save it! I like Harley. But I admit I don't know if that is her first name or her last name....
  20. I also have a Grey's Anatomy degree and a Jack Bauer degree for time-sensitive, national security situations. AM SMARTEST.
  21. I like to refer to it as: [Things I Learned While Earning My Law & Order Degree] Me, too! I thought it was great. I thought the whole ep was great. I def stand by my earlier observation (I'm too lazy to go look, but I think in the Ep 9 thread) that Jaz is in love with Adam whether she cares to admit it or not, and Adam knows, but can't decide if that is a good or bad thing. I think he would have gone above and beyond for any of his team, so i'm not quite there yet that he did it because he lurrves her. I loved all of the Anne Heche/analysts I can't remember: "We're monitoring a life or death mission, so you're gonna have to wait."/"Do you really think we'd leave???" stuff. I rewound Jaz breaking the guy's neck three times. To have the presence of mind to always be on the lookout for a chance to escape... well, this is why I am not a service member and would be the very first casualty at Camp Crystal Lake.
  22. This is killing me. I love this show and it brings me joy. Insta post from Marcel:
