  1. I saw it more as when she went out the beginning of the season was more for her addiction, when she suited up it was more about honoring her and using her reputation to scare off the bad guys. She only seemed to suit up because she had just seen Team Arrow disband and knew the city needed a protector. Then of course she had to decide if she was going to keep this up just for Sara or for herself . We may be talking about different straps? But the straps on Saras jacket are the same that are on Laurels. https://thenerdsofcolor.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/laurel-boxing.png?w=672&h=372&crop=1
  2. They both have the same straps on the side but with all the extra material and Laurels being able to be zipped up, of course the similarities became fewer but it is just another thing they glanced over in Season 3.
  3. Of course the story would have to be changed if they used more characters to help introduce him but like I said, I didn't have a problem with them using Felicity to help introduce Barry to the audience, it is the use of Felicity each time a new hero in the making is introduced that annoys me.
  4. But there shouldn't be 1 main character who is the connection which is my problem. And not all need origins played out when introducing the character. You can introduce established heroes and still find a way to connect them to the team. You'll have to forgive me because for some reason I just like using Buffy as reference, but Faith/Kendra were fairly established Slayers when introduced. They used a villain to help tie Faith into the show and had her interact with majority of the characters while she spent majority of her Slaying time with Buffy due to obvious reasons. Spike was given a very deep connection to Angel and other various characters were introduced or tied to the other main characters. I am not a fan of Felicity taking over Rays company but I am not a fan in general of all the characters having such high positions. I rather have Laurel at CNRI then being a DA.
  5. He is a guy who helps solve murders, Quentin helps stop crimes, Laurel prosecutes crimes. They could've used multiple characters to introduce him. But I didn't have a problem with how they had him connected him to Felicity. I just became annoyed when it became a reoccurring theme.
  6. I never understood how Sara gave Laurel her jacket at the end of S2 but then magically has it again when she hasn't seen her since departing.
  7. It is stated in the S3 special feature. I always thought it was regardless due to it resembling Saras jacket so much outside of the extra material.
  8. I think it had more to do them liking each other then it did then just Felicity liking him as a person. They love the shipper support and there are plenty who didn't mind having them together which if it weren't for Oliver, they probably would've explored more.
  9. I found it ridiculous that they had Laurel just go with the flow over Olivers "betrayal". But I don't see Diggle getting any major hate as a lot of people think he is in the right. But I don't think the writers are going to have Diggle hate him for more then 2 episodes instead of stretching it out a ridiculous amount of episodes.
  10. Of course it was a bit ridiculous/funny that Laurel was able to come up with a costume so quickly just as Thea was able to completely redo Roys costume. Though her costume consists of leather pants, some buckled up boots, a cute undershirt and a jacket. The only part that may have to be custom is her mask. The rest can simply be bought in the mall. But these are the same people who expect us to forget that Saras jacket is not as long as the one that Laurel is wearing and to just go with it.
  11. He was temporary leader for 1 episode? The same episode that had Deadshot sacrifice himself (which he may not even be dead) also had Deadshot as the main character and expanded his role beyond Diggle. Deadshot didn't become Deadshot with the help of Diggle or because of Diggle. Diggle is basically a supporting character to Felicity and Oliver and hasn't been given that much prominence as Felicity.
  12. Usually you introduce them on the show to introduce them to the general audience, doesn't have to be with a specific character each time. People will watch the show with or without them being introduced through Felicity. To me it is obvious that MG and co. just don't like to switch things up. They use Cisco the same way they use Felicity but for different things. It already annoyed me that they had Cisco name Mari alter ego Vixen.
  13. While she didn't help create The Flash, she is linked to him more then anyone else on Arrow is. And it is pure speculation at this point but she may have a hand in helping Curtis create his T-Spheres which is a major weapon for the character. But it is another connection to another future hero that she will have. Of course we will see how it plays out.
  14. To me, it is useless to just throw away these characters that could turn into something so much more. They like to do all these throw aways to the biggest characters and sometimes it just helps in limiting them in terms of future stories. What they do with all the Ted Kord products is probably the best they've done since the audience has been introduced to the character to a certain degree that if he ever is able to show up in person, it makes it so much cooler. But I guess that is how Harry Potter and all those major book fans feel when watching these adaptions of movies. It is bittersweet in the end.
  15. Diggle was given ties to other agencies and that is about all. He was given ties to Deadshot who has appeared like twice. He isn't a major factor in the creation of anyone or anything. He didn't create Argus/HIVE, he hasn't been the major turning point for any hero or villain, he certainly isn't talked about that much bts promotion. He is the ONLY character that I think that no one really has a problem with which is great. He isn't a major factor for any drama and what drama they have finally given him looks like it will be resolved within 2 episodes.
  16. They had her look at everything to basically put the thought in her head to suit up. She was suppose to already have Sara's jacket and then only took her weapons. She didn't put her sister in the ground in just her underwear.
  17. The thing is, if the writers wrote good new stories with the comic based characters people wouldn't mind the changes they make. But thus far they have yet to do that. It's like with Count Vertigo, they changed the character drastically from his comic counterpart and have failed both times at making him an interesting villain that should be one of Arrows main villains but then the writers want to pull the "Green Arrow doesn't have that many interesting villains". Every villain that is specific to GA they either mess up or under use. China White should be another major villain for the show. When they had Felicity be the one to create Brother Eye or whatever, I both rolled my eyes at them making her be the creator of such a HUGE villain and them wasting such a huge villain.
  18. Like I said, I totally enjoyed her in S1/2, not as much in Season 3, when I rewatch it again more moments of why probably will return or maybe they wont. I don't dislike Felicity but even bts can push people to just feel like it is to much. It's like hearing the same song on the radio over and over and over again. You can start out liking it but hearing it so many times can make the sound of it can people people feel annoyed. I know due to Terrifics background that pairing him with Felicity is the best option but just as it is annoying that they have Cisco name every hero/villain, it is just as annoying that they pair every new up and coming hero with Felicity.
  19. They didn't have her steal Saras costume though. The only thing of Saras was the jacket which she already had but the whole jacket thing didn't make much sense.
  20. They have used her to help prop up Flash/ATOM/Arrow and now possibly Mister Terrific, they used her importance to Oliver to try to get the upper hand in the negotiations with Lyla/Nyssa, had her stand up to Ra's and live to tell the tale, had her pilot the ATOM suit, the writers also always try to gear things back towards her in interviews. Of course I haven't watched Season 3 since it first aired so I am going on feelings that I had during the season. But it is a mix of Season 3 and bts. The writers failed at making Laurel into a good love interest, they just crashed and burned that ship since the first episode. I don't hate her but just as people dislike certain characters, people shouldn't be surprised that people would dislike Felicity.
  21. Well it is hard to ask to keep a secret when you are dead though Sara asking people to keep a secret doesn't make it any better for her family. I thought it was ridiculous that they had Laurel keep her death from Quentin but at least she didn't do it for totally selfish reasons. She was afraid of her fathers heart condition and it potentially sending him to the grave. And even though she was suppose to be "impersonating" The Canary, she used it because The Canary had a reputation amongst street criminals and the city was without any protectors so she did what she thought was best. Not the first time when it comes to superheroes, someone has paraded around town as someone else because of their reputation to help keep crime at bay, it has happened with Superman and Batman countless times, even in Buffy with the Buffybot.
  22. When I did my rewatch of Season 1-2, I totally forgot how much I enjoyed Felicity. She was lucky in the fact that she was used to lighten up the show and not add more drama to it. Of course in Season 3 she finally got her turn to add to the drama through her relationship with Oliver, but it was annoying that the writers wasted time putting her in any type of relationship with Ray when it was beyond obvious that it was such used as a stepping stone to get to Olicity. But my main beef isn't with the character itself it is more the writers just continuing to shove her down our throats.
  23. It was just a vicious cycle that kept going round and round until it all built up in Season 3. Everyone at this point have kept a secret about Sara. Oliver said she died on the ship when she didn't then he kept it a secret from everyone when she was alive, then Quentin keeps it a secret that Sara is alive, then Laurel/Dinah/TA keep it a secret that Sara is dead.
