  1. Blake is the only one who's gone above and beyond time and time again for his artists. The Swon Brothers had a song all over the radio, as have Danielle and Cassadee. Cassadee won a CMA award. I recently saw Raelynn's "God Made Girls" video on CMT. Gwen Sebastian regularly backs up and tours with Blake. If you follow country music even just somewhat, you're hearing his singers. No one else's have achieved that kind of mainstream exposure past the show.
  2. Corey seems to think that if he's just firm, Ali will never need help, but "parenting style" isn't really a factor in a genetic illness. Leah's right that she probably sees it more often because she has Ali more often. The doctors would not be pushing this hard to get a wheelchair if she did not need it and Corey needs to wake up and acknowledge reality. By having her use the wheelchair when she's tired or sore, her condition may not escalate as quickly as a child who is forced to keep muscling through. Corey may actually be hurting Ali in the long run. I initially thought Leah was being slightly dramatic about his attitude toward the illness, but I'm starting to see that she's right and as Jeremy's saying in the previews, he's dropping the ball.
  3. If you stretch, it makes sense that Elizabeth is grateful Carter was taken by someone who took care of her and kept her safe and happy instead of a pedophile murderer, but yeah, it's a stretch that the word grateful would ever come to her mind. I really don't know where they're taking this, but I hope Carter goes with Lori. Just so something will actually happen.
  4. From what I understand, technically nothing. If Corey wasn't in the picture, he may have found himself on the hook, but I'm fairly sure that since the girls have the support of both biological parents, he has no financial obligation to them. I assume she'd use her MTV money if Jeremy didn't help. But ethically, I feel like since he married her and took on that role with her kids, he should absolutely help as much as he is needed, which it seems like he does anyway.
  5. Exactly. And really, it's so easy to critique someone else's parenting, especially if your only experience is your 6-month-old infant. I see it all the time, women with fairly easy newborns who think that means they must be some sort of parenting expert. All parents have made mistakes, handled something the wrong way, dealt with episodes that would make a TV audience think they're the shittiest parent alive, and no one has raised a perfect child. The comment was just bitchy IMO. Instead of helping or just letting Adam deal with it, she had to put her two cents out there.
  6. Her son is 17 and she's 33. I bet her son is so embarrassed.
  7. From what I understand, they will only talk to the policy holder and/or whoever on the plan the treatment is for. Since Leah isn't on Corey's plan, her calling would go nowhere because they wouldn't talk to her about it. I believe every other case was adult-onset or adult-diagnosed, so Ali is the only one to be diagnosed as a child.
  8. I felt so bad for Leah. I had an anxiety attack at a get together a few years ago, and a friend gave me one of her Klonopins. I figured it would just calm me down and it did, but an hour later I could barely walk without help, I could barely talk, and after I got home I slept for about 12 hours into the next afternoon. Some of those things can just overtake you. Especially if she has to force herself to be up to parent and go to work. Chelsea's been pissing me off lately and I can't put my finger on why. She used to be my favorite, but I think it's just that as I get older, I'm losing patience for her. I'm the same age as these girls and aside from Jenelle, Chelsea is the one who just won't grow up. It's great that she has a house now and is trying to work, but her demeanor is still the demeanor of a 15-year-old. She is. It just goes to show how personality really can affect looks, because I thought she looked gorgeous for the first time in awhile in this episode. I hope the 4 of them can keep going on this path. It was still a little passive-aggressive, but it's a step.
  9. I love Max. I'm sure he liked Lori before he knew what she did, but I like that he's firmly on Elizabeth's side now and not listening to Lori's shit. Dude's got some moral character.
  10. I'd guess most of them. Randy's a practicing dentist, he's gotta be busy sometimes. And @JerseyGirl, what's so bad about corn dogs? I mean, they're not the healthiest, but kids love them and they'd just moved that day, so I don't fault her at all for making something easy and fast.
  11. Well it's confusing if Adam's mom apparently lets her touch it. I can see where if one person says they aren't allowed to do something, but someone else says it's okay, a 4-year-old may get confused. Why is grandma letting her get in there is the bigger question IMO.
  12. Doesn't he go to preschool? They should have invited the kids from his class. Javi's family being there is great, but it would have been nice for Isaac to have friends there as well.
  13. I genuinely feel for Leah. She's really doing her best and she impresses me more than any of them. I'd be extremely anxious and frustrated about the insurance as well- not that it's Corey's fault, but I get what she says. It sounds like Ali is already getting a bit worse. Kail's been showing a bit of growth so far this season. The scene with Jo and Vee just kinda confirmed to me why I don't like Jo any more than Kail- they sit there and gossip and act holier-than-thou about her just like Kail and Javi do about him. And if they didn't plan on going, they should have at least let her know and thanked her anyway, because it seemed like they just figured they weren't coming once the party was already underway. Barbara is so goddamn harsh. I know she's older and she did Jenelle a solid by taking Jace, but she's just harsh to him. I can't think of a better word. Eh, that doesn't bother me. Kids will learn those words. It's just not a big deal to me at all. My parents swore around me all the time and I don't think I'm any worse off.
  14. So in one episode Carter's obsessed with finding her mom and being back with her and by the next she seems extremely well-adjusted considering, and it takes her a minute to even know who Max is talking about when he says her name? And why was she so upset about the picture? Not liking it, okay, but that freak out was way over the top for what seemed like no reason. This show is all over the place. I can't tell what anyone is thinking. I can't get invested in the characters because the show hasn't given much insight into any of them.
  15. And at the same time, Javi chose to forgive Kail and he chose to marry her and have a child with her. So boo hoo, I don't feel bad for Javi. He chose his life, Kail didn't choose it for him. If she were really abusing him, it honestly would make me think even less of him that he doesn't want to have that baby with him any time he can to protect him.
  16. Same. Much as I dislike Kail, I really don't like Jo any better. He doesn't get as much screen time to make a fool of himself, but I don't think he's matured as much as he gets credit for.He rings false and self-righteous to me honestly- very similar to Kail. And his jokes are always really mean things disguised in a jokey tone. This one didn't bother me too much, but he's had a few doozies and as Isaac gets older, they're going to stop going over his head.
  17. Oh I didn't think that at all. I was just kinda rambling about my thoughts, not particularly in direct response to you :) thanks for sharing though, it gives a much better understanding.
  18. Yeah, I can't fault Leah or Corey for the way they're handling Ali. I think both their responses are valid ones and they're both good parents trying to figure out how to adjust. It's a situation with no perfect solution. It's impossible to be a perfect parent to a child with no issues at all, so I can't imagine how impossible it is with a child with Ali's condition. I think if it were me, I'd encourage her to try things, but not discourage her if she can't (like the "get back up" thing), and mostly focus on the positive things she can do rather than telling her she can do anything. But I have no idea what I'd do in actuality. I got the impression that they aren't sure how fast she's going to deteriorate, since the doctor said there were only a handful of cases and none of the documented cases were childhood onset, so they want to have the wheelchair always ready. Corey seems to think that once they get it they have to use it immediately, and that's not true. It'd just already be there when she does need it.
  19. I don't think asking Javi to watch both kids for a little while is trying to stop Javi and Isaac's bond. Javi has two kids to help take care of now- when Kail has to be home with both kids, it isn't destroying her bond with Isaac. It's her being a parent. Sometimes Javi will need to watch both kids- it's what he signed up for when he became Isaac's stepdad and had Lincoln. Anyway, it sounded like it was about Isaac's bedtime. So idk what Javi was going on about. Sounded like Isaac would be in bed, so I think he was just trying to deflect. I never thought I'd defend Kail again, but not everything's her fault.
  20. Yeah, Kail actually didn't annoy me at all in this episode, but Javi... I did not understand at all why he had such a stick up his ass about her asking him to watch the kids while she ran to the store. She was right, it was late and the trip would take a lot longer if she took Lincoln. Just watch your kid, Javi. You're his parent. I can't believe someone reported Chelsea's social media posts to the licensing board. That's just so low it's a little sad. If they can't prove she was paid for it, how can they withhold her license? Like Randy said, anyone can do makeup at a wedding as a free favor. If she was just helping Landon, I can believe she wasn't paid. I was under the impression that Landon was already licensed.
  21. This actually crossed my mind, because of the casting- Carter favors Lori and looks nothing like either of the other parents. Maybe Taylor isn't really her twin, but they happened to get pregnant during the process of adopting and they were born around the same time and Elizabeth and the dad just acted like they were twins! Super soapy.
  22. They're casting now, so more than likely there'll be a 4th season.
  23. You're right. I googled up a picture and it's just that she looks much bigger than she is standing with Bianca, who is tiny.
  24. I get that it's Elizabeth's right to want the kidnapper arrested, but she is cold and callous toward Carter in the process. You've just gotten your child back after 13 years, I'd think reforming a bond with her and making her feel comfortable would be top priority. Maybe taking some leave from work and being more understanding instead of going on like business as usual and immediately expecting Carter to respect her authority as mom. The whole family just seemed so, as someone else said, blasé about her return that it's hard to sympathize. Other than Elizabeth's desperation to catch Lori, they seem completely uninvested in the whole thing.
