  1. I doubt it. I don't see what motivation there'd be to want her to be fat. And even if they did want that, she was still significantly overweight, though she looked great for a former 300-pounder. She was still easily at least 200 pounds. Just realized this was the finale though. I thought it was a really boring episode to go out on.
  2. I vote that if there's a fourth season, they're only allowed one remorseful fat girl episode. This show is gold when it deviates from the expected. I only half-watched toward the end and I didn't watch Chatfish, but did they explain her sudden year-long absence at all? I originally thought it may be the girl in the pictures because a pregnancy would be a good explanation, but they seemed to just drop it, I didn't hear them ask her about it. She did look a lot like the Brogan pictures facially though.
  3. Right?? I mean, I kind of found it interesting because it's usually some dude falling for pictures of a girl way out of his league looks wise, but this guy was seriously good-looking and, from the sounds of it, professionally successful and could easily get a beautiful woman in real life if he wanted. But seriously- if it doesn't stop being a fat chick at the end 99% of the time it's a female catfish, I'm going to lose interest. Like someone said on some forum either here or over at TWOP, the show should just be called "Fat People Are Evil" or something. ETA: And yeah, about the sick son in the hospital...lady, if you are honestly filming a Catfish episode instead of being with your child when he's being admitted to the hospital, you need to check your priority list.
  4. Aaaaand she's fat! Such a twist ending!
  5. I like Laurel a lot as well. Maybe there was something that wasn't shown, because that fight they had looked to me like a fight a lot of best friends would have and be over and laughing about it in 5 minutes. I was impressed by Nany on the volcano climb, but if Zach hadn't crapped out, the margin between Laurel's and Nany's time would be larger. He came close to costing her the win and that's why I hate that they partnered them up. She probably would have actually punched him in the face.
  6. Not necessarily dating, but she said their conversations are still romantic and flirty and that you can't help who you fall in love with. And that Gabby was coming up to visit her.
  7. So when they got the text that the person's family "wouldn't allow" the meeting, I was pulling hard for an older married man/woman plot. Alas, it's not meant to be. I found this one more underwhelming than usual. The Skype call just wasn't interesting. Half the fun is going to the catfish's home and getting a real reveal, with body language and awkward introductions and long therapy sessions and creepy situations and all. This was just kind of lame. Nothing actually happened.
  8. Cara is very strong, but they're going to be climbing up a volcano. She would not be able to do that with a broken hand. If she made the final and I was in charge of the show, I wouldn't let her climb a volcano one-handed. I don't think the show had any intention of letting Cara near that final.
  9. Put her in an individual game with Evelyn and Emily and I think she'd have a good shot of getting her ass beat. Those two are the only recent girls I think are on her level. Laurel's very strong, but this season she had no real competition. Not one of those girls, even Cara, Theresa, or Camila at their best were going to beat her.
  10. See, it would have been so much better if this puzzle thing had been in the regular rotation of eliminations. And I think it's really stupid in an individual-based game, to have the final elimination hinge partly on a partner. Yeah, all the guys have to be stuck with Devyn once, but I'm sure there'll be at least one of the three missions she sucks a lot less at. I'd rather see them do it all individually. And that all 4 people who drew first pulled blanks. The Bananas/CT draw reeks of shenanigans and it's also oddly coincidental that the only two girls who stood a chance at winning the final lost the draw.
  11. The order is ball, wall, rope, cage. The ball and the wall have been done 3 times and the other ones only twice. The cage was with Laurel/Aneesa and Cohutta/Preston, and Cara/Latoya and Zach/Brandon.
  12. QFT. Honestly, this guy was definitely low in the ranks as far as dads go to me. What is the deal with teen dads not believing in nurturing their newborns? We've seen it pop up in this episode and the one where the dad insisted they let their week-old daughter cry it out. Men who have jobs and therefore believe they're entitled to do nothing at home piss me off. You presumably get a lunch break everyday that you can take alone, you have days off, and your job ends in the evening every day. But, because you get paid and she doesn't, she has to do her job 24/7/365 with no help? Sexist asshole. When everyone's home, it's a shared responsibility. I know a lot of men like this, my own dad was one of them even though my mom worked full-time as well- she came home and cared for me and my brother, cooked, cleaned, while my dad came home and layed around. Needless to say, they're divorced.
  13. I'm pretty sure they've just rotated them over in the same order from the beginning. It's just bad luck for Cara that this was the elimination that happened to be next in the rotation. They would have been given the wall regardless.
  14. I agree it's idiotic. Like Devyn said, it'll cost all your money just to fix it! I really don't know why they even let her stay. On Exes, didn't they send Dustin home for like, a bad cut on his knee? But Cara can play with a broken hand?
  15. It's not strategic in any way for Nany to put Cara in though. Theresa is competition for Nany in the final. Cara really isn't with a broken hand. She's going to be slower and she's going to be in severe pain. Best case scenario for Nany in this elimination would have been Theresa v. Laurel.
  16. I don't understand why Nany didn't stick with her vote. Johnny isn't going to basically volunteer to go in himself to avoid voting in Theresa. His hand would be forced and he'd have went with whatever Nany said at that point. Anyway, can't see it happening, but if Cara beats Laurel fair and square (without Laurel letting her win) with a broken hand, that'd be amazing.
  17. I liked her well enough. She seemed to go with the flow and catch on quick to handling her baby, and went back to school quickly. I was actually relieved that she had the insight and the gumption to say that moving in with the baby daddy wasn't a good idea after all. Yeah, it sucks for his parents, but it would have been a disaster and Maddy moving in with her dad is ultimately going to be more peaceful and a better environment for both Maddy and Aubrey. I mean, the fact that she said she didn't have to force herself to be with him just because of the baby shows more understanding of the situation than we usually see on this show. It was refreshing to see a girl who isn't pining away and trying to force a family at the expense of her sanity and her child's best interests. The baby daddy seemed like a douche though...I hate it when men act like it's their right to have their last name passed on to the child. Sure, it's traditional, but it's not your right. And not calling for weeks on end? Even if you work a lot, you can still make time for a phone call, if not a short visit. I see him becoming a deadbeat quickly.
