I agree he was right. And I don't know why Nina was looking at him as if he was evil incarnate for suggesting it. I get that she has her issues with him, but Nina knows good and well that Marty - Willow's ATTORNEY - suggested the same damn thing. While Nina was taken aback by it when Marty said it, she did seem to realize it might be Willow's only play. Marty specifically said that Willow needed to know the power she had, and Nina noted that Willow would only do it if she had no other choice. I figured when Nina told Willow about Carly taking the kids she would tell her what Marty suggested. Instead, Nina tells her she has no options and then gives Drew death glares when he brings up using the medical proxy. I know that Nina is probably paying for Martin's services, but he is ostensibly Willow's attorney about custody of her kids. It's not up to Nina to decide what advice from her attorney she's going to tell Willow and what she's going to keep to herself. Nina has been the one all along putting the fear of God into Willow about what Michael and his two families are capable of and how dirty they would fight. She had no problem when Martin suggested Willow file for temporary custody two seconds after Michael got all crispy, but this medical proxy card is suddenly a step too far. As much as I like Nina, I do think she's a bit of a hypocrite in this situation. She complains all the time about Drew manipulating Willow, but she does the same thing - just through different means. Me, too. I love how in the previews Carly's all "you don't want to go down this road." I would love for Willow to respond "Oh, like the road of you taking my kids from me as punishment for cheating on your son. Suck it, bitch." I was really surprised by how the scenes between Drew and Carly played out. Yesterday when I thought about how it would go, I would have bet good money that Sonny or Jason would rescue her and either threaten to beat up Drew or kill him. I was shocked, instead, that they let Drew get in the last word. That almost never happens when someone goes up against her. I think my eyes almost rolled across the street when Carly, with a straight face, asked how they could have possibly predicted something like this would happen. This after discussing that this isn't the first time Michael has been hurt because of Sonny's business. And, of course, they pat themselves on the back on how they did such a swell job with their kids. It doesn't even occur to Carly to think "Gee, my young daughter is at Sonny's all the time. I wonder if something like this can happen to her." Shut up, Joss. Shut up times infinity. You know nothing about Chase and Willow's relationship. She didn't fall in love with him because he rescued her from Shiloh. I think Sam and Jason played a bigger part in it than he did. And they were together before that. Also, Willow is the one saved Michael from a life without Wiley. Also, why was she going on about how Nina likes to present herself as sweetness and light. When has Nina ever tried to present herself like that? Also shut up some more with the way she was questioning Felicia. She wasn't mean or anything, but she was acting like she was some seasoned veteran detective. "Even a small detail matters in a case like this." I think Felicia, the former private eye, doesn't need to be schooled by girl!detective. Uh oh, looks like Carly might have one more thing to throw in Sasha's face when she inevitably turns on her. I can see Carly blaming Sasha because Jason left to take her home, which gave Cyrus an opportunity to poison Michael.

LOL. I'm just glad someone got the reference. I almost didn't post because I wasn't sure how many people would know what I was talking about.

Didn't he think it was called Corinthians 2: Electric Boogaloo? Mostly kidding, but if someone told him it was called that, I really do think he'd believe it.

It wouldn't matter to Joss and Carly even if they knew Michael cheated, too. To them, Willow would be the Queen Skank from skankville and Michael the poor lamb who did nothing to deserve such betrayal. Sasha definitely better watch her back. I'm not sure it would cross her mind just how much Carly could turn on her because she and Carly are friends, but she should think again. I don't think Carly's necessarily a sociopath, but the only people she wouldn't turn against are Jason or her kids. Everyone else she can turn on like that. Look at what she did to Lulu back in the day. She and Lulu used to be thick as thieves then she turned on her and not even because of something Lulu did. Carly blamed Dante for sending Michael to prison and when Lulu disagreed, Carly thought that was justification to ruin Lulu's life. And Lulu was family. I think she'd turn against Sasha just because Sasha asked Michael to stay out of their kid's life. It wouldn't matter to her that Michael agreed. She'd accuse Sasha of manipulating poor trusting amazing Michael.

Wow, memories just came screaming back to me. I can't remember if my mom told me that or simply that you couldn't use tampons if you hadn't had sex yet. By the time I was in high school, I decided I wanted to give them a try. I actually had to hide them from my mom. I don't remember how long it took her to find them, but when she did, she sat me down and asked when I started having sex and who with.

Why should he care about getting back in Carly's good graces? Does Carly even have "good graces?" One thing I found funny about Joss' bitch attack with Willow was during the holidays she forgave Sonny. I don't remember exactly what she said, but it was something about how the world isn't black and white and no one is all good or bad. I thought there's no way this kumbaya version of Joss lasts once she finds out about Willow & Drew and I was definitely right.

I do see your point, and thought about that. Most of the kids, except Donna and Avery, are adults and can make their own choices. But, I still think Carly does shoulder some blame. Not only did she rob Michael's actual father of a chance to parent his kid, but she turned him over to someone like Sonny who she knew was in constant danger. If she hadn't done that maybe Michael wouldn't have grown up to think this way of life was acceptable. Maybe he wouldn't be targeted as one of Sonny's gaggle of kids. I think when Willow said today that they both made mistakes she was referring to the longstanding trust issues in their marriage. This isn't the first time Willow has lied to Michael and he's lied to her several times - including now with keeping the Sasha tryst from her. He brought up going to jail for her, not because she asked him to do it, but because she was claiming that he's too self-involved to care about anyone. He was pointing it he cared about her so much that he went to jail for her. She may not have asked him to do it, but she certainly wasn't stopping him nor did she have any issues with taking advantage. We know that if Carly really thought it wasn't right that he take all the blame, she could have stopped it. When she wanted to stop Jagger from blackmailing Jason she turned herself in. Drew broke up with her because, like Jax eventually realized, he knew she would never put him before Jason (or Sonny.) That's different to never thinking she cared about him at all. Up until she found out about his tryst with Willow, she was singing his praises and telling him what a great father he is.

There was a woman there with him. I think that might have been the social worker. I guess Chase was there as back-up to make sure they complied with the court order. I’m know they’ve had similar scenes like that in the past. The whole court order of it all is truly stupid. Yes, Willow took Wiley to Drew’s swearing-in without asking, but she didn’t kidnap them or refuse to bring them back. There was nothing that would have warranted a judge not only taking them from their mother while their father was in the hospital but then giving them to the grandmother, who wasn’t even home at the time. I tend to like Diane, especially in her scenes with Alexis, but she was at her absolute worst today. She knows damn well what Michael would want, but went to Carly anyway as if Carly - in any sane world - has a leg to stand on in a custody case. Nina couldn’t even get visitation against the parents wishes but Carly can get temporary custody with the court not even giving Willow a chance to explain her side. Such horseshit.

You just had me doubled over with laughter for five minutes. It’s a combination of picturing that image and the absurdity that the writers are truly writing it this way. I don’t think it’s just idiots like Joss and Carly who will connect it like that. Curtis threw that in Drew’s face as well. So much of Joss’ rant was so gross but that line about Michael giving her the kids was right at the top. I guess, technically, she was right about Wiley and the adoption. But, really, she’s not. I think Willow can say she gave Michael Wiley because it was her choosing to marry him that helped him secure custody. Joss has every right to be upset that her brother was cheated on and be emotional because he’s in the hospital, but as usual the actress has no nuance. She’s supposed to be sad about her brother but the sadness completely disappears and she’s just smug and self-satisfied. Even when Willow mentioned her cheating on Dex, Joss has no moment of even slight reflection. Instead she just excuses herself because she and Cam weren’t married. Probably the only reason she didn’t cheat on Dex was he had the good sense to die before that could happen. Then she brings up Willow “cheating” on Chase as if Michael wasn’t just as responsible. Willow may be a cheater, but so is Michael. He also slept with his brother’s gf/wife (I can’t remember if Kiki and Michael slept together while she was married to Morgan.) I do remember at the time people were basically telling Morgan to get over it. So all this gnashing of teeth from the Corinthii over how gross it is that Drew slept with his nephew’s wife is comical coming from them. I am glad that Willow didn’t cower and cry in front of Joss. There was a similar scene years ago when Lulu tore Liz apart in the middle of the hospital for cheating on Lucky with Nikolas. I’ll admit back then I kind of cheered because Liz was wrong and I detested her at the time. But, I watched those scenes again recently and it went on too long and while Liz was wrong, I thought it would have made more sense for Liz not just stand there crying, either leave or at least call Lulu out on her hypocrisy once. So, I was glad Willow’s reaction was different. While I also thought there was too much name calling in the Lulu/Liz scene, I wish Willow had been harsher with Joss. So, I’m glad Nina’s going to show up tomorrow. I don’t think she’ll have any problem calling Joss the insufferable heifer that she is. Chase had no business being the cop to go over to Nina’s. I know that he and Willow are on good terms and have no animosity toward each other, but having her EX-HUSBAND be the cop to help take her kids from her was weird. With Dex gone, they’re down a contract player police officer. Dante wouldn’t have been appropriate either given he’s Michael’s brother. But there was nothing in that scene that couldn’t have been done by some day player. Carly’s hypocrisy and self-righteous delusion was off the charts today. There should have been nothing but a scorch mark when she called Drew self-centered. Just like with Joss, it’s fine for Carly to hate Drew for hurting her son, but there’s no reason to rewrite history just for her to fulfill the narrative in her head. Yes, Drew initially thought he’d do minimal jail time in a minimum security prison (which is still a sacrifice you delusional ingrate) but when the judge passed down the harsher sentence, his lawyer advised him to fight it. Drew said that would take them back to square one with Carly facing jail time. So, he did go to prison for her. It doesn’t mean Carly has to ignore what he did to Michael, but she doesn’t get to make it seem like it wasn’t a sacrifice or that he had sinister ulterior motives. If he wanted to use it, he could have used it to keep Carly at his side. Instead he dumped her. I know Carly’s a grieving mother, but I don’t care, I cheered when Drew threw it in her face that this is her fault. Because it is. This isn’t the first time Michael is paying the price because of Sonny’s business. Carly brought them into that life and made it seem like it was a perfectly fine way to live. Just like she’s trying to take Willow’s kids, she stole Michael from his father. She thinks it’s up to her to decide who has a right to be a parent and who doesn’t despite the fact she’s a shitty parent.

My first instinct after Zuckerberg's latest capitulation was that I wanted to shut down my Facebook account, but I have too many relatives on there that I couldn't keep up without it. Before the 2016 election, I started to post political things, but it created such conflict with my in-laws. Eventually, I stopped. I mostly look at family member's posts. And after this year's election, I haven't been back there. I have almost 200 notifications, but I can't stomach going back there yet. Other than when I get notifications from people I follow, I haven't been on Twitter, either. Other than this board and Bluesky, I've tried to limit my political activity. I've never been able to get into TikTok or Reddit much.

The 82nd Golden Globe Awards (2025)

I'd take them both. 😄 Especially if winning a Globe helped me win an Oscar. -

Just because he had a similar sentiment doesn't mean he was copying her. I get where he was coming from. For a long time after the Oscar, he had flops and was banned from SNL. He was kind of considered a has-been. He hasn't been nominated for an Oscar since his win. He's had a somewhat solid career the last few years, but I get him being elated that he's gotten back to this level again. I know people make jokes and all that about the Globes being lesser than other awards, but most of the actors do take their wins seriously. It is still considered a major award and an Oscar precursor. Demi hasn't had this kind of reaction to a role in a long time. I understand why this win feels monumental and means something to her. And, who knows, this might be her only shot at winning one of the major awards. -
You're not only speaking for yourself when you say, "THE RIGHT gets over things quickly." You don't represent all of the right. If you had said, "I and my friends get over things quickly," that would have been a different story. I don't recall saying that I was the boss. I gave you some advice that I would follow myself. If I were somewhere with posts that I found "tedious" and made me unhappy, I'd either stay away for a while or find somewhere else more my speed. I'm not making any demands. You're the one who demands a safe space for yourself. This thread was not created for "the left." Here's the mod post about it: "I'm opening this topic so that we can keep the regular Chit-Chat politics free but there's a place to share your feelings. With that said, feelings are complex and there's a range of them. We're all dealing with them in different ways, still, they're all equally valid, so, please recognize and respect them. If I see gloating, accusations, personal attacks or anything along those lines, I'm going to shut the topic down again." You are allowed to post your differing opinion, but people are allowed to disagree and say why. Exactly. Post your thoughts, but don't expect people to stay silent if you post something untrue or deliberately inflammatory. I'm not sure what you went through in November. I remember you posting something and people disagreeing with it, which you called "nitpicking." I also remember you repeatedly singling someone out for an anecdote they posted. People are allowed to ignore posts or not like them. If people are uncomfortable expressing their views here, that seems to be an issue of their own making. They are the ones choosing to stay away. No one demanded that of them. You can post here but don't expect everyone to like everything you say or engage with it exactly how you want them to. People laughed about the Tesla exploding initially because they thought it was because Musk and his product were that shitty. That was before it was known as a terrorist act. Given what happened in the election, it makes people feel better - I know it does for me - to see that they are not alone in how they feel. If hating 45 or his supporters is something you can't understand, that's fine. But don't judge others because they do. I don't feel bad for belittling people who voted for a rapist sociopath. It's not a silo just because people like you have chosen to stay away. That's your choice. Other people don't have to stifle how they feel just because you don't like it. I already posted the note for what this thread was made for. And it says it right there in the title FEELS.

I would love to live in the world where the Right got over anything quickly. Today is a pretty stark reminder of how far they didn't just "get over it." The constant bellyaching over everything Biden did is proof that they didn't get over it. You all have a safe haven - it's called Fox News, Truth Social, Elon Musk's Twitter, etc. I'm sorry that you can't stand being in the minority here, but other people don't have to stop sharing their opinions because you don't like it. Your issue seems to be - at least to me - that you can't take being in the minority. No one has attacked you. Disagreeing with you is not, in and of itself, an attack. You can post how you feel just like anyone else. And, just like anyone else, your post is open to being disagreed with and discussed. If you post something people disagree with, people are allowed to (respectfully) share why they disagree. If you can't deal with that, it's your issue - not everyone else's. If you don't like reading the "tedious" rhetoric there's a simple solution for that. Find your own safe space - there's plenty of options for conservatives.

Yeah, because that compares to Gowdy's array of comical haircuts. All that shows me is a normal, beautiful woman who can have multiple expressions. The horror!
-
Because that's totally how that works. 🙄 Are these trolling posts supposed to have a point?
-
I don't think that's necessarily true. I own the Walk the Line soundtrack and still enjoy many of the songs on there, including Joaquin's singing. I believe I read on this movie, he was encouraged not to sound too polished and sound more like a "regular" person who just happens to break out into song.

The only time I found his behavior even slightly veering into stalker territory was that scene. Still, if Drew was thinking that it wouldn't have been at odds with how their relationship has played out. I don't think Drew thinks he's innocent - and I don't think he's surprised by Michael's part in this - but I do think he has a right to be upset at how Curtis handled all of this. I don't see Drew as a stalker at all. It's brought up constantly that Drew loves how she hero worships him (and that is true) but their attraction seemed to build on a mutual admiration society. It wasn't just Willow hero worshipping and blowing smoke up his butt, Drew did the same to her. When Willow quit her job working with him and asked him to stay away, he did. She was the one who insisted on being with him after he was sad about McConkey's death. She was the one who found him and kissed him the night they had sex. I'm not sure how Willow voluntarily inviting Drew over for Christmas is some example of him being a stalker. Carly only hit the nail on the head because she can't possibly grasp putting someone first in a relationship unless their name is Jason, so of course she sees it as something weird and wrong. It's not some character flaw that Drew wants to be with someone who puts him first. The issue, of course, is that the person he's found willing to do that is not only married, but married to his nephew. I also disagree about CM's acting. I do think Drew genuinely has feelings for Willow.
-
I hope you're wrong about this, but I'm afraid you could be right. I've been feeling the heavy-handed nature of his writing since they upped the ante and had him "turning on" his friends, too. The writing is starting to become very Jagger-esque. And maybe that (and writer incompetence) is why they've completely ignored the murdered Jagger plotline because they're going to do that storyline with Drew.
-
I highly doubt this, but part of me is wondering if this could be Michael's exit storyline. This stock manipulation is discovered and he ends up going to prison. And Michael being the wonderful guy that he is takes all the blame and Curtis avoids prison time. It would be a temporary thing - like Nikolas in prison right now - until the show decides to recast. I know a lot of people here hate Drew, but I don't. I've said it before, but I hate when the show pulls this kind of "back up the truck" writing. More often than not it makes me go in the opposite direction of what the writers are trying to force. Like someone else said this week, I think CM is doing well with the material and I think he works well in the grey area - even though the writing is writing him more like he's more evil than Cyrus. No question a lot of what Drew has done is sleazy and wrong, but I find so many of the reactions from the other characters so over-the-top and/or hypocritical. Like this tendency from most of the characters (some of whom have no idea what is even going on) acting as if Drew tied Willow up in chains and she was forced into his bed. Drew was actually minding his own business when Willow went up to the playroom and basically launched herself at him. Tracy and Ned's hatred of him seems disproportionate, especially with them being Team Michael. I know they've known Michael for longer, but Ned's issues with Drew are the same ones he's had with Michael and Tracy has never had any use for Michael. Drew certainly backstabbed his friend Curtis and was too much of a coward to just tell him the truth, but I find Curtis the bigger jerk here. What Drew did was attempt to screw him over in business. It wasn't personal. That Curtis is willing to end the friendship without even trying to work it out tells me the friendship wasn't that "dear" to him. And when you have characters like Sonny and Ric - Sonny and Ric - acting like Drew is the sleaziest of the sleazy, I have to call complete and total bullshit. I know Sonny is a gigantic hypocrite, so I'm not surprised that the thug who shot his son in the chest would call someone else a snake. Still, his scene with Carly today was odd to me. When did Sonny start hating Drew and when did he warn Carly against him? I know Brennan had a scene like that with Carly. And what exactly did Drew put Carly through? He went to prison for her, not the other way around. I mostly like Ric but he can have all the seats when it comes to judging anyone. Yes, Drew slept with his his nephew's wife but call me when he kidnaps his brother's pregnant wife and locks her in a panic room then contemplates smothering his wife after she discovers said pregnant hostage. My biggest fuck you though goes to the writers for wasting the potential that was Drew/Nina. That look they shared over Willow's shoulder at the end had more heat and chemistry than anything Willow and Drew have shared.

I never said you said she was a goddess, but I’ve seen plenty of people who said the same thing you did - “how could he cheat on her of all people” - who do think that. Your post, to me, made it sound like if Jay-Z would cheat on Beyoncé of all people that somehow made it more plausible he would commit assault. My point was Beyoncé is just like any other woman and it’s not unheard of that she could be cheated on. Millions may want to sleep with her but they don’t live with her. None of us know the ins and outs of that marriage and what led to their problems. Like I said before, cheating is not necessarily an indicator of someone’s likelihood of committing assault.

But George S wasn’t basing his statement on what the jury found. He said clearly that it was based on the judge saying that 45 committed rape. Judge dismisses 45 defamation suit Most of the lawyers I’ve seen on BlueSky say it’s completely stupid that ABC capitulated like this. They could have won the case. And, at least, they could have let 45 get deposed since that was scheduled for this week or next week.
