  1. Ha! This was a great read! Dying over the turkey sliding down her throat... I think you correctly picked up what she was putting down, which... ewwww Wendy. I missed her mention of Andy Cohen. Isn't there a blind item that Wendy and Andy have been on the outs for years because of Kelvin? Interesting that now that she's free, she has Andy on - they seem like a natural pairing. That is going to be an annnnnnnoying interview.
  2. I looooove "The Hills" to an unrealistic degree.... I had moved to LA from OC, a few years older than these people, so it was fun to watch the settings, the clubs, the drama. I really miss that the original music has been replaced with anonymous filler music, the 2006-2010 songs of the day really made the show! Stephanie reminds me a lot of Courtney Love. They are both loud and funny, and have taken really interesting, beautiful faces and morphed them into plastic anonymousness. Stephanie looked so much better before. I always kind of liked her. I thought Heidi looked a lot better than the last time I saw her on the Hills in 2011. Her face has settled, and it made me sad to see her regret all of the work she had done. I was always kind of confused as to what was real with Speidi. I didn't think Heidi's family was that great of actors, and I truly believed the struggle between them and the evil Spencer. It was very culty. I read an article a few years later where they were living in Santa Barbara and regretted the way they behaved, which Spencer called an act. I don't know, man... it was disturbing to watch him isolate Heidi.
  3. Damn, today Wendy couldn't stop talking about shopping at Walmart, and her flight on JetBlue. Does Wendy really keep it real like this, or are these paid advertisements? Also, Wendy was prominently featured on Real Housewives of Potomac last night, as the medium through which Michael's groping allegations came out. Thought that was interesting.
  4. I don't have a strong feeling either way as to whether PT was too harsh on Candy, but I am loving the dialogue back and forth! Goes to show how invested people are in the characters. Candy always got on my nerves a bit so I was surprised at how saddened I was that she is gone. I can't get over how perfectly cast this show is. There is something slightly amateur about some of the actors that works in a weird way. It reminds me of when they gave Roseanne Barr a show, but then surrounded her with John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf, which elevated her acting. I feel like sprinkling some pros in this cast is really lifting the entire cast's performances, because the core authenticity of the actresses is so strong. I'm also glad that the Kate Mara/Evan Peters plots are gone and we can focus fully on the ladies.
  5. I'm really sad that Candy is gone, I didn't see it coming and even though the show veered toward cheesy, the pure charm of the actors and actresses really carried the day, as usual. Candy's final scene was magical and she should definitely earn all the Emmies. I also love Sandra Bernhard, Billy of course, and Mj Rodriguez just has so much HEART... I love this actress and she always absolutely kills it, I am always rooting for Blanca. With all of the talk about Madonna and "Vogue", are we going to see a Madonna cameo this season?
  6. I thought Wendy looked great today, and was less crazy than the previous days? There was no talk of her fabulous single life, so I appreciated that. I love Nicole Byer, she had me rolling around on the floor laughing and Wendy was cracking up too. Today wasn't a bad show?
  7. Have fun with the family, Mindthinkr! Wendy was unhinged today, it was extremely weird and annoying. Apparently she's besties with the Kardashian West Jenner clan now. She cried about 4 times during the show, alternating with screaming at us about HOW MUCH FUN SHE IS HAVING LIVING HER BEST LIFE! She uses the nom de plum Bunny Hoppz in hotels. But you didn't really miss much.
  8. I thought Sebastian said "belly dancer" as well, and I think that's why the judges reacted so much to it, and then had to cover it up by pretending they knew he said 'ballet dancer'. I started out hating Hester... I'm still not a huge fan, but personally, I don't mind her much anymore. Her entire personal style and her work is very contrived to me, like she looked at Katy Perry circa the "Teenage Dream" era and said "THAT! That's my aesthetic!" She did outright say she was doing "Clueless", correct? I think the designs were a bit on the nose but I didn't really fault her for the Clueless looks. I'm not someone who sews - but it seems like Hester's mishap would be an occupational hazard? Was that an overreaction? It's sad to see Bishme go, although I think it was the right choice. He was extremely gracious on the way out also. What a lovely guy. It's nice after a season of fairly bad personalities, the final four seemed to be a sweet bunch who were supportive to each other.
  9. Wow. I’m shocked. I hope this means Tiffany Boone will return because her character is great and she’s a fabulous actress. Sad to hear these allegations but Brandon should be recast. Another great character i want to know more about.
  10. Uhhh... what is going on? Wendy was hanging with Blac Chyna all night? I thought she was in a sober living house? Wendy sounds infatuated with her. BC certainly knows how to snag a come up. What was the story about playing with her boobs with BC, and Lil Kevin was looking on, and then Wendy started crying? It was cute to see the audience support her with tons of applause though.
  11. I've watched Wendy interview a lot of, um, minor celebrities... but Blac Chyna was a new low. She even got an outfit change. I would appreciate Chyna a lot more if she had a sense of humor about herself and her gold diggerosity.
  12. How damn adorable are the kids on this show?? That party scene with Kevin and Maisha totally melted me. I love so many of the stories on this show - I would be okay with 86'ing the Ronnie parts to give the other stories more room to breathe. Especially Jerica's storyline I would like to marinate in more.
  13. I loved this show, but I agree with you, and it reminds me so much of "Unreal", if you ever watched that. The writers painted themselves in a corner where they had to have major cliffhanger reveals every episode and it just got to be too overwhelming and ridiculous.
  14. Thinking of your friend, and YOU, Mindthinkr!!! That is terrible news. I cringed through the EL James interview... although I found EL totally charming, and was wondering if she's a Wendy fan because she seemed tickled to be there, even though Wendy called her 'unassuming' several times, which seemed like code for 'fugly' (I'm not saying that about EL but the way Wendy said it and knowing her judgment, that's how it read to me). But Wendy seemed to really enjoy EL and it was mutual, I thought this was a fun guest that I didn't expect.
  15. I actually forgot to mention that... I thought it was so selfish of Judy to potentially put someone else what she went through by trying to get hit by a car. I know the show wanted the symbolism but she could have picked a way to off herself without projecting the same pain on someone else.
  16. I agree with you. I think we are supposed to see Steve as the abusive husband who got his, but I just didn't see it. He actually seemed pretty pleasant and even-tempered throughout the show. I think we were being led down a path where he was physically abusive, and it never really panned out - as mentioned above, he would get aggressive and would immediately stand down when Judy called him on it. Basically, whatever misdirect the producers wanted to go with, they threw in - in one episode, Steve has a restraining order against Judy, and in the next they are canoodling and reminiscing. I think that's when we were supposed to be all "is she or isn't she?" about Judy's sanity. So I'm curious what Season 2 will open with that absolves Christina Applegate of just being a murderer. The acting is all top notch. This show just reminds me of stuff like "Unreal" or "Orange is the New Black" to some degree that starts out so strong and runs out of steam quick as the twists and turns get more ridiculous.
  17. Don't get me wrong, I watched this entire thing in two sittings and laughed a LOT. It made my weekend. However, there were so many holes in the story. The complete dismissal of every shred of evidence by Laguna Beach PD seemed over the top. It just seemed like a re-tread of Big Little Lies in some ways. The end made no sense - James Marsden's character seemed like an asshole with no morals but it's a huge jump to put Jen in a self defense category. Christina Applegate and especially Linda Cardellini were so good. Loved this season, although I have a feeling that future seasons are going to struggle to shock us every episode to diminishing returns.
  18. I actually love when Wendy has these young stars on like the kid from Blackish (I forgot his name but he was charming), and today's Jacob Latimore. He's great on The Chi and was such a gentleman. I was floored when Wendy asked him if he was involved in gang activity. Where did that question come from and why does she think that's appropriate?
  19. I finally realized who Ronnie's lawyer is - isn't it the actress who was in Vice Principals? I just googled her - Kimberly Hebert Gregory. Damn she's good! And I totally agree - the acting is amazing. Glad this show came back, I wasn't sure it would return after Season 1.
  20. I agree with you. I like it, it's well acted, I like the characters, but there's something kinda background noise about it for me. I find the show frustrating because I like the characters, especially Emmett and Brandon, but they keep getting in their own way. And flashback Ronnie looks so old that it's really hard to get invested in those scenes.
  21. Wendy was pre-empted for the Nipsey Hussle funeral here in LA, did she address this on the show today?
  22. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about this show and the characters. Sam's two oldest daughters are awful. Surly, spoiled and entitled. I know all teenagers are to some degree, but they strike me as heading toward very messed up adult lives. It's not funny or cute, and it makes the show very hard for me to watch.
  23. I never knew that. And how strange... Kelvin is a perfectly nice name, why remove the L? Interesting. Insert applause emoji... I think the Wendy situation is sad, but the way she's elected to handle it publicly has been a major turn off. "Say it like you mean it" Wendy... it's been years of lies and nonsense. For someone who grabs minor tidbits of gossip and puts it out on front street, if she had only lived in her truth, she could have been an icon of female strength. Does she think the current situation is better for her son to see?
  24. Wendy completely mangled Karamo Brown's name before the break. Wendy, you have like 1 guest a week. Try to keep their names straight.
  25. I'm both a Howard Stern and a Wendy fan... I gotta say, nothing Wendy said was out of line. Howard has gone 'Hollywood', in that he kisses celebs asses, the very ones he used to trash. In cleaning up his act, he gets big time celebrity interviews that go on for over an hour, and often tidbits from those interviews get bandied about in the mainstream media. It's legitimized him and somewhat repaired his legacy of just being a trashy shock jock. Wendy is an example of what Howard's show would be like if he had not gone Hollywood... struggling to get even C-list talent to drop by, because she's been so toxic. Despite the crazy shit Wendy spews on the regular, I thought her comments with regard to Howard were right on. I was surprised about how vehemently he went after her, there's obviously anger there from when she was on his show and essentially said the same thing to his face.
