  1. Give them some that makes them go to sleep.
  2. You're probably right Cooksdelight. She'll probably never leave.
  3. Twelve steps for someone older, with arthritis can be daunting. I'll give them that. It's the way they handled it that was a problem for me. It could have been handled in a better way, with no drama or hysterics. In a calm manner. Please, get them off my screen. All of them, the aunts, Mama Joyce and cousin Whiney. And Duane Juan. I will be interested to see the fallout when Kandi tells them that if it weren't for their friendship, they would have been gone from her company long ago. I repeat, move Kandi! Leave that negativity behind. Don't grow to be like them. Surround yourself with positive people and energy. I'm pulling for you girl!
  4. They wouldn't have been happy if they switched rooms with Riley and Kaela anyway. Then the'd be bitching about the size or the decor or something else.. There's no pleasing people like that. You are so right. They just wanted attention. They complained about every damn thing. I think the steps could have been a problem, but they are just unhappy, miserable people. I hate people like that and avoid them like the plague.
  5. I do think more consideration should have been given to the old biddies concerning the stairs. Many old people have a real problem with stairs. BUT the way they all turned up over it was terrible. All they had to do, Cousin WHINEY, was take Kandi aside and ask politely if they could get a different room with less or no stairs. All that ungrateful ass turn up was unnecessary. And my mom can't take long rides either, but Kandi mentioned that they take longer rides to go where they want to go. I think she mentioned the casino. Oh, and here's a thought. If you don't want to go on a ski trip, then DON'T GO. What an ungrateful bunch! And cousin Whiney acting all bad, you can go too. This is the price for your fifteen minutes. You could have stuck me in the smallest room and I would have been happy! Please Kandi, you and Todd take the girls and MOVE! Damn! You all got a free trip to a nice resort, makeovers (cause you know they didn't do that makeup), and I'm sure you're not paying for ANYTHING! Ungrateful asses. When Mama Joyce is the voice of reason, DAMN! And the intervention, please! A phone works both ways. Kandi has a lot going on. Her whole world does not revolve around your asses. I'm sure you would all love the old Kandi back so you could continue to control and manipulate through guilt. And Whinney, shouldn't you be living a life of your own too? Are you in school? What is your job? Have a boyfriend? You need to have something else going on in your life. You can't all be just sitting around waiting for Kandi to call. Seems they all just want Kandi to themselves. Newsflash. When people get married, and blend extended families, they have to spend time with them too. And you best believe if I were in Kandi's situation, none of you would hear from me much if all you do is bitch, moan and complain ALL THE DAMN TIME. Life is too short to let these energy drainers suck the life and energy out of me.
  6. Arzo can go now! She tries too hard. Her "hell to the no" in her TH was just ... Trying too hard. And her comment about Chauntelle's hair getting wet was unnecessary. Believe me, if Chauntelle had a problem with it, you'd know. BTW, I need to exercise and tone up now! LOL, and damn Greg, uninviting Geneva from the wedding? She's not that good of a friend? I think it had more to do with the fact that she's extra in the drama department and he knows her better than we do, but she did not turn up at the book launch. And while I agree that she could have said something to Chauntelles at the book launch, she is not responsible for another grown woman's behavior. Way to ruin what was supposed to be a fun cake tasting. You could tell what a bad spot that put Demetria in. On another note, I like Demetria tipsy.
  7. I'm pulling for Gregory but I would be happy with whoever wins. Loved their reaction when Tom came in. Like "damn, we just sat down. Really?"
  8. I loved seeing the families cook together without fear of elimination. The different dynamics were interesting to see and I'm sure they all got a new appreciation for the craft. I loved seeing Gregory and his sister's relationship. They seem really close. Sorry he didn't do his best this challenge. Mei and her brother seemed to also be an oldest and baby of the family vibe a little. But she said they got closer doing that and I'm glad. Nothing she can do about her parents' approval. Good for her to recognize that and move on. I was happy to see the family members' dishes do so well.
  9. Top Chef starts an hour earlier next week.
  10. With Skullduggery and Nascar, you've got to be a complete tool to act the way they did in that meeting and with the kids focus group. I have a feeling that Walmart, Kmart and Toys R Us had more of a problem with the brothers and their lack of business Presentation than they did with Nascar. Maybe, maybe not. Maybe there was a conflict that Nascar wanted some exclusivity deal or something. But I have no doubt in my mind that the brothers themselves are what did the deal in. If you are trying to get their business, why are you mentioning Nascar in the meeting anyway? Where did that come in? I see on camera that they don't know how to conduct a decent business meeting. Their attitude stinks and as soon as they felt the least bit of hesitation from the potential buyer, the funk smelled to high heaven in their body language, their face and demeanor. If they acted the way they did in that meeting with Marcus there, imagine how they were on their own. They were still trying to sell plastic or cardboard flying discs or whatnot. In this age of technology. And when multiple people said it was boring and confusing, they still did not want to let it go. Damn! I too would love to see what happened with their business. Did we get any updates? I read all the posts but don't remember. I love this show. And yeah, Marcus knows how to integrate his businesses, making sure they support each other in making profits. Like when Tabitha (love me some Tabitha) has a saloon go to the wedding shop down the street to strike a deal.
  11. I'm guessing because all the side business in Sweet Pete's are all somewhat related. They are all food/candy. They can have birthday parties and set up a tour. Even though I don't really see the business culture coming in, but oh well. The ones at Artistic Stitch were not related at all. A basketball court, restaurant, etc. can't remember the rest.
  12. My condolences go out to Todd and Kaela and the entire Tucker family in the loss of his mother. She seemed like a wonderful person with spunk and a big heart. Her relationship with Todd and Kandi was wonderful to see. My prayers go out to the family. Mods, sorry I didn't know how to start a thread but wanted to express my condolences.
  13. I think KeriAnn had a good idea to do something that would not need to be fussed with when she was FOH but obviously they're was a problem with her portion of the execution when they could not handle the crepes and had to make an adjustment. If I was FOH I'd do a great soup that could basically be done the night before and develop flavor overnight. The next morning, just start it simmering while you do your thing. The only thing BoH would have to do is spoon it out, garnish or last minute prep and let it fly. It could be served at any point on the menu. I meant to say there was a problem. Autocorrect. Sigh.
