Matt Damon is great; he has such natural charm. Plus I read an AMA he did with reddit and he was so generous with his time, and so jazzed to be talking to people. Love him!

So, having heard these songs from LaLa Land, I stand by hoping that Lin or Sting will win for their respective work. I love John Legend, but this did nothing for me.

I liked John Cho and Leslie Mann, and I usually can't stand her - but they worked well together. Also, John Cho is damn sexy and articulate.

I used to have such a crush on MJF, and I always thought Spin City was so underrated. I hope he's doing well.

I just watched it yesterday and I HATED every minute of it. I wanted desperately to fall asleep, but my bf worships at the altar of Scorsese, and it would have been sacrilege to do so. Boring, dreary, and what Simon Cowell would have described as "indulgent". Originally Marty wanted Daniel Day Lewis in the role that Garfield played, and now I can't help but think the film would have been at least 38% better if DDL HAD been cast.

I'm so torn. I loved Lin's songs for Moana, but Sting's Empty Chair is really beautiful...ugh.

Agreed - My bf is a huge film snob and when Arrival finished we both looked at one another and said, "she's winning an Oscar". Was shocked she didn't get nominated.

Awesome! Arrival had a stellar soundtrack, it really stood out.

I *just* finished watching Moana before the Oscars, and the songs are outstanding - I haven't seen Lala Land, but I really hope Lin and co. win for their soundtrack.

I love Mrs. Washington's hair! And I adore seeing them at awards shows together :) I actually dig what The Rock is wearing - it's fun and he's such a sweetheart.

I was totally making fun of the "When We Rise" commercials, but then I spotted Omar Little from The Wire, and goddamnit...now I'll probably have to watch.

I wish I could put Emma Stone's hairstyle on Brie Larson's dress - that would be such a va-va voom look.

Charlize Theron is looking a little like Katherine Heigl to me. Not impressed with her look - she's usually so glam.

I haven't seen Mel Gibson in years, but it looks like he is now dating a 12 year old....skeezy.

Nicole's dress looks almost like a throwback to that chartreause couture one she wore in the 90's that got so much attention - think it was Dior. Similar neckline and shape.

Desperately annoyed. Taraji and Janelle were refreshing for this reason. I'm not saying you have to get political or say something profound, but something other than generic, scripted question #3, and the guest giving the same stock, soulless answer they've given 280 times before. You can tell some of these folks are trying REALLY hard to appear enthused, but given that most of them are actors, I expect better performances!

I didn't even recognize Michelle Williams- has she had work done? If it wasn't for the blonde pixie, I wouldn't have known it was her. So many "blah" looks this year. Either bland or just safe. Where's the "oomph" and "va va voom?

Good point - he's really been killing the awards circuit the past couple of years, and I always perk up when I see someone wearing his work. There's still time!

I actually like Janelle Monae's dress - it works for her style, which is very specific. Dakota Johnson, on the other hand...I see dresses like that on sale for 2.99 at my local Salvation Army. Girls needs help.

Not to be petty, but Chrissy Teigan's boobs look really low on her body; like she doesn't have proper support. And as someone who enjoys a good bra, this is really bothering me. Also, she is one of MANY who look like they did their hair themselves. There's "effortless" and "casual", and then there's oily, bedraggled, limp, flat, and sad - and many of these ladies fall into the latter categories.

Nina Garcia on ABC looks like complete crap. Fashion editor my ass.
